What a gem! I never would have found this place, it’s tucked next to a dentists office and under an apartment building. The space is nothing to write home about but the food is great. It’s everything you want from a homemade sandwich but better. I’ve been back several times since I moved to the area, and it never disappoints.
There’s not a lot of seating If you call ahead they’ll have the order ready for you when you arrive. They also sell some convenience-​type items, some to-​go food items including a wine selection, and more. They also have really reasonably priced coffee!
OVERALL:
The sandwiches at this café are fantastic, hearty, reasonably priced, and delivered with a smile!
Honestly, What more can you ask for?

This is a convenience store that happens to make sandwiches. Good sandwiches, but nothing special. If you happen to be walking by the store, by all means, go inside. However, do not go out of your way. The atmosphere is horribly run down. The prices aren’t reflective of that (ie you pay what you would pay in a nice diner, but you don’t get the nice diner). If you are looking for a nice place to sit down and enjoy a meal, this is NOT your place. Seriously. There are a trillion places to eat in this city. Don’t let the reviews here talk you into missing out on having a meal somewhere WAY more worth your time and money.

This review is for breakfast and coffee.
House coffee was on the dark end, but good. I got a bacon, egg, and cheese bagel. The bagel could have used more toasting, but overall it was a decent breakfast sandwich. It was cheap for this area, 3.85 for the sandwich, 1.50 for the coffee.
The golden 5 star reviews seem to be for the lunch, so I’ll have to come back to try it, but I probably wouldn’t go out of the way for the breakfast.

Great spot to pick-​up a panini! The owner was incredibly nice. She answered our questions and made sure we all got exactly what we wanted. There are a few tables inside to stay and eat. She checked on us twice to make sure we had everything we needed, offering to grab us a drink or chips if we wanted. I had the pastrami panini which was delicious but everyone else seemed happy as well.

This place is a true hidden gem! Almost so hidden, we started to look for somewhere else to go because we were losing hope looking for it.
Thank goodness we didn’t!
My fiancé got the pastrami sandwich with coleslaw and said it was one of the best he’s ever had! I had the veggie sandwhich with mozz, pesto and tomato! Amazing!
It is in the bottom floor of an apartment complex and there is VERY limited parking in the lot. You can park in the spots marked «Grocery/​Cleaners». This is not made clear but I popped my head into the store and asked the cashier before we parked.
The customer service was top notch and the lady working couldn’t have been sweeter. We actually ate our entire meal before we paid because she wanted us to eat it fresh and sit at our table while we waited.
The little grocery was cute but didn’t have much stuff. I would also recommend putting a sign up to advertise the café more clearly.

Delicious! I was very impressed with Paramount Café. The sandwiches are delicious and unique and the service is so friendly and fantastic!
I visited recently to get sandwiches to-​go for my fiancé and I. I ordered the Pastrami Panini (pastrami, Swiss cheese, sundried tomato, coleslaw, and Russian dressing on focaccia bread) for myself and LOVED it! I’m obsessed with all those ingredients and thought they tasted well together. I also got my fiancé a sandwich — the Thanksgiving Day (oven gold turkey, provalone cheese, lettuce, tomato, and cranberry sauce on ciabatta bread) and he really enjoyed it as well.
The café is located in the Paramount apartment building and there’s some parking (limited) outside. The café also operates as a store and sells sundries, snacks, etc.
And the lady who made me the sandwich was super nice!
Awesome! I will certainly visit again.

By the time I landed and got settled into my hotel I was hungry. I found paramount café to be within walking distance of the hotel. I’m glad I chose this place to eat.
They have a nice range of hot and cold sandwiches including panini. I had the pastrami panini and it was delicious. I was especially happy with the roasted red peppers used inside the panini.
I knew I’d be hungry later because I was on pacific time and asked for a Manhattan sandwich for later. The owner was nice enough to offer the condiments on the side to keep the bread from getting soggy. I had it for breakfast this morning and it was amazing as well.
Very friendly shopkeeper and they have general grocery and travel items to pick up for those visiting DC metro area. I grabbed an umbrella because I forgot to pack one. Very convenient and friendly store for lunch or dinner.

Pastrami panini was excellent. Small and hard to find, but thanks Unilocal for helping locate a good quick lunch in crystal city near the crystal gateway Marriott. It is located on the south side of the building past BOA.

It’s no wonder why this place has 5 stars & it’s getting my approval too! The spot is small and hidden in the bottom of the Paramount Hotel. The shop boasts a small convenient section in the back (cups, plates, cereal, beer, wine, drinks, snacks) and up front is the café spot. They offer great breakfast, lunch and coffee options. The owner is the absolute sweetest lady around. She knows really how to take care of her customers. My bf and I stopped in for coffee and breakfast and she let us know the eggs were fresh and not frozen. You can watch them cook your food to order right in front of you. Very awesome little spot, will be sure to come back if I’m ever in the area again!

This little place is a great — and hidden! — find, but venture in and you will find sandwiches, beer/​wine, snacks and ice cream from the coldest freezer in the neighborhood.
And if that weren’t enough, the woman who is always there (I am guessing the owner) is incredibly sweet.

Wandered into this little café based on some Unilocal reviews. It’s a cute little sandwich/​deli mart. The service was top notch, the lady who made our sandwich was very sweet and accommodating. I tried the pastrami sandwich, which was quite delicious. The Russian dressing gave a unique, tangy flavor that paired well with the pastrami. The price was pretty reasonable as well. The location might be hard to come by, since it is on the ground floor of an apartment building. Definitely will be coming back to this hidden gem!

I love this place!!! This best kept secret should be exposed! I have been coming here now for a few months and everything that I have tried on the menu so far is great. Staff is very friendly and goes the extra mile to insure you have a great experience. The fact that you can call ahead and place your order is priceless. Don’t take my word check them out yourself.

This place is awesome. I’ve worked in Arlington for 20 years and have eaten at every halfway decent restaurant in the County. I found this place searching Unilocal for something new, and definitely got lucky this time. Apparently this café has been around for over 10 years, but is under new ownership in 2015.
This is a simple café/​deli with a small retail area. The store is very clean and the employees are super friendly. I had their Napoli sandwich and it was perfect. It had high quality meats, fresh veggies, and just the right amount of condiments. My wife had a turkey wrap and she loved it.
I’ll definitely be back here sooner rather than later.
