I’m so happy I found this salon — I definitely recommend seeing Voula. She seems highly skilled, gives a thorough consult prior to starting & did a great job fixing up my color/​tone. I’ve been to a lot of hairdressers and would rank her very highly! My mom gets her hair done by Ray at this salon and is really happy with his work too.

Ray is the best stylist I have ever had! He is just outstanding when it comes to hip, feminine, modern pixie cuts, and he’s given me dramatic color changes that have come out beautifully. I love him!

For someone who avoided hairdressers after having some really lousy cuts — I’m always a little nervous about a new hair dresser. VOULA is amazing! Soft spoken — and a fantastic hair dresser! Family owned & operated — what a great pearl to have in our little town of Arlington :)! Would like to give them a 10 instead!

I have been coming to Miracles since I moved to the area in 2009. My old stylist left and I’ve been getting Voula to cut my hair for almost 3 years now. I always love the cut and she gives me her honest advice when I’m talking about changing things up. Voula is good at remembering what we talked about last time so we pick right back up where we left off. Nikos cuts my husbands hair and they get along great. He loves getting his hair cut there. They change hair washers a lot and some are better than others but overall I have loved getting my hair done there.

So, I’m really sad to leave this review, because I actually got a *great* haircut. However, the reason for it is as follows: I came to the salon directly from work to get a haircut, and I appreciate that they fit me in relatively last minute. However, when I sat to get my hair washed, the chair had some moisture on it. No big deal, I figured, just some water from the last wash.
Wrong.
I came home and found the seat of my work pants destroyed with what look like bleach or chemical fade spots. Whatever was on the chair of the salon unfortunately was not just water, but actually damaged my pants. I ran the pants through the wash immediately after noticing the stains, to no avail, and then called the salon 10 minutes after their closing time – no answer.
I really liked the overall experience, but I post this here to do two things: (1) alert Miracles that they need to better clean their chairs between washings and use to ensure there aren’t stray chemicals that can damage clothing remaining; (2) let potential customers know that they should probably *not* wear clothes that could get bleached to this place.
I so want to return, but if I do, I’m wearing ugly pajamas.

I’ve been coming to Miracles for almost 5 years now. Never had a bad experience. Firstly, my cuts and color are always exactly what I ask for, I get great feedback from the stylists and there have been times when they’ve talked me out of some BAD ideas (I have many ;)). I’ve gotten cut and color with both Voula and Maria, they are both fantastic at what they do. I’ve never LOVED my hair before I found Miracles.
The environment of the salon feels very homey, it’s a family owned place sometimes they greet you with a glass of wine and a cookie

My review should not be representative of my 2 years of getting my hair cut there, although the past couple of times I have been cut by Michael he has not listened to any guidance I provide him at the beginning. He has had another female customer at the same time of my appointment and rushes through my cut. I leave with a much shorter cut than I asked for and very dissatisfied. I feel that a 10 minute cut is not giving me the adequate attention I expect as I am a frequent customer. It is not acceptable and the next time this happens I will refuse to pay because I am not receiving what I ask for.

I don’t get my hair cut very often. But since moving to Rosslyn I’ve been to this place 3 times (every 6 months…) and every time they don’t disappoint! I’m usually able to get in the day I want to because I live close by and can just walkover when there’s an opening. I’ve had three different people because I’m terrible at remembering who I had last (because it was 6 months ago…) and every time I’ve been pleased with the cut, so all the stylists must be great (I’m 3 for 3 and comfortable making that conclusion).
PRICES ARE THE MOST REASONABLE AROUND. That with the quality almost makes me want to get a haircut more than every 6 months… almost.

I came here on a recommendation from someone who sees Nikos. I wanted a cut and color last-​minute, and Ray happened to be free. He did an excellent job, was attentive to what I wanted and made good suggestions on other things that I was indifferent on. I’m not usually a salon chatter but he was fun to talk to, and I’ll definitely come back to him later. The owner is also super-​nice, and sells used jewelry to raise money for charities. So while your dye is setting in, you can stroll around and look at shiny things while enjoying your glass of wine.

I came in looking for a change, and I was satisfied! I ended up getting about 9 inches cut (long layers to a bob). Mike was my hairdresser. He’s nice, but I thought he was a little rough with pushing my head forward and such. While I came in an hour before close, I felt like everything was being rushed (I did have an appointment). For example, Mike was cutting my hair and another woman’s hair at the same time.

I have seen all the stars on the Unilocal review so I tried out the hair and make up. Up do looks o.k., but the make up? I look like a Mimi from Drew Carey Show. I appreciate Maria coming in one hour early, but the makeup and hair for $ 200 and no false eyelashes or anything and had to ask her to darken my eyebrows are just not acceptable. Whenever I had my makeup done, they did complete work to include false eyelashes. As far as around the eyes, I put some of my foundation to tone it down a bit. I only tipped $ 20 because of the makeup. I appreciate the effort of coming in early to accommodate my needs, but at the end result was not all that great. If I did not have my dog waiting at the hotel room all alone, I would told her to do it over. I think I am going to get me some fake eye lashes and more eyeliner to fix my eyes. I am glad that wedding is in the afternoon so I have time to react.
So it is at noon and my hair is falling down. The event I am attending starts at 4 p.m. She did not put gel or anything but the hair spray. My hair is very heavy because of the length. It looks terrible (going all the direction and the bottom is falling) and I am about to cry. Totally the buyer’s remorse.
A parking can be challenging because I parked at the dentist’s patient parking across the street. I will not go back there for sure.

Nikos is the man for a haircut. Being a guy I can’t justify going to all the expensive salons my wife recommends. I have been coming to Miracles since I started living in Rosslyn and after moving to Falls Church I still go back for a haircut.
Normal price is $ 30 but there is always a Unilocal check in discount of $ 5. You get a shampoo, and a perfect haircut in that price. You can make reservations over the phone but remember that weekend slots fill up quick! They are closed on Sunday so plan ahead…

This place was fabulous! I had a Groupon with Olympia. She did a PERFECT job on
my color and cut. She was very friendly, but not too friendly… just the right amount of chit chat! The place is clean, good music and busy. I will definitely go back!

Love coming here, I always see Maria. She does a great job every time. I used to highlight my hair, now I just come in for a trim every few months. Never been disappointed and I always get an appointment with her in a timely manner. She always remembers what we did last time and works well with my long and straight hair.

Maria did a fantastic job with my haircut. She put me at ease and listened to what I needed and wanted (asymmetric, blunt, give it some shape without losing much length). This is the first time (in my life) that I have had a wet haircut that turned out beautifully– usually I have to ask for a dry cut so that the stylists don’t cut big chunks or too many layers out of my straight, superfine hair (or worse, the dreaded too short fringe). I don’t recall the name of the gentleman who shampooed me– I was too busy being tense about having my first shampoo in probably a decade– but he was sweet and did a great job– I stayed dry and the head massage was nice. Also of note: I had to cancel my original appointment with only a half hour’s notice, and Maria didn’t freak out– she patiently rescheduled me. It’s rare to find a great stylist on the first try in a new city– lucky me! Thank you. :)

Found this place on Unilocal,called that morning, and got an appointment within the hour. Barely had time to sit and read when I got there, as I was taken to the back to get my hair washed
Niko helped me and was awesome. He listened, went over the plan several times, and was very courteous. The Miracles Amazon oil that he put in was also very nice. Made my hair feel great all day. He offered to blow dry my hair, but I declined.
You pay with your card/​their iPad, but tips are separate. I wish I knew this; would have brought a bit more cash.
Overall, really great place. For $ 50, a great haircut and service.

I’m new to the area and was looking for a place to get a cut and highlights, so when a groupon deal came up for Miracles, I went ahead and bought it.
I made an appointment and was greeted by the woman at the front desk as soon as I came in, and sent to Elie. I explained what I was looking for in terms of color (a partial highlight) and cut (keeping the length but cleaning up the ends), showed him a quick photo of my desired color and he said he knew exactly what I was looking for. He worked quickly and was very friendly and talkative throughout, and he was right about knowing what I wanted — the color was perfect.
The one drawback was the cut. In the end, I like it, but I had asked for just a trim and ended up with about 3 – 4 inches less than I came in with. In fairness it had been a long time since my last haircut so maybe it was necessary, but nevertheless slightly different than my original request.
That being said I’ll certainly come back here again, groupon or not!

It has been about 6 months since my last hair cut, and I was dragging on the length. I wanted to try a new place in the area, but didn’t want to spend a ton of money without trying something first. I opted to pick up a groupon. This place offers regular women’s cuts for $ 49 and haircuts with the owner for $ 175. With a groupon I could get a haircut with the owner, Olympia, for just $ 59.
Upon arriving I was greeted immediately and took a seat. Afterwards, Olympia led me into the back where I explained to her the haircut I wanted. I received a hair washing from a nice young lady and then proceeded to the front to get my haircut.
The last 3 – 4 haircuts I’ve had I haven’t been happy with at other places. Either the people weren’t super nice and If I asked for a touch up here and there, they always gave me such a hard time. But here, I honestly felt like this was probably the best haircut i’ve ever had. My hair is super long and thick and I actually like the way it looks long, but I like that light and airy feeling from lots of layers. Olympia was able to give me that and made it look super easy. Her store front has been on the same corner for 21 years and I can see why they have been successful for so long. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Nikos is awesome! I just moved to Arlington last week and my friend and Unilocal both suggested this place.
I called in the morning 3 times until I could talk to a person and they kindly gave me an appointment the same day.
Upon my arrival everyone were friendly and Niko was working on another customer.
A bit of waiting until he got to me. Warmly welcomed and consulted. He listened to what I want and did the same thing.
Again a bit of waiting in shampooing room, but Niko nicely offered me wine. I enjoyed my haircut and styling and alsoNiko’s personality. He also gave me some tips for how to take care of my hair and what kind of color should I buy if I wanna do if myself.
I recommend this place and will go back again.

Got a great and fairly priced haircut at Miracles Salon! It’s right across my workplace, so I decided to check it out during my lunch break. They were able to accommodate me with an appointment on the same morning.
My hairdresser was Mike, who is really experienced and friendly! He did a very neat job, all under 45 minutes. I’ll be requesting him again in the future.
My only feedback would be to tidy up and disinfect the back area where they wash hair!
