History

Established in 2003.

Mini Moves and more was started by Greg Pavao in early 2003. He started the company after graduating college and wanted to provide a better solution for people who didn’t need the larger moving company. Mini Moves and more offers an array of services that the larger company’s wouldn’t be able to provide due to minimum charges. Greg worked for a local company during high school and college and noticed there was a need for a company that provided a fair price for a smaller move. When he started Mini Moves and more his main goal was to help out people that needed one piece moved across town or wanted to rearrange the living room. The company has grow from «Across the Room-​Across the State… One piece-​One House» Now we have 4 trucks and 12 men. We will still come to your house and rearrange some bedrooms, but now we will also send a 4 man crew to pack up and relocate your house. Manager

George has been with the business since 2006. He is a neighbor of the owner and retired from the phone company some time in early 2000. Since retirement he was always out in his yard keeping his grass looking like Augusta! Mini Moves and more was looking for some one to answer the phone and get some general information instead of letting the answering machine pick up and having Greg the owner return calls after he got back from a long day moving. George has always been great dealing with customers and has become a professional in the moving field. His duty’s in the office have changed from answering questions to booking jobs, doing pay role, paying bills and schedule crews. When you call you will be happy to hear his voice because you will find out that he is going to take care of you and make sure the job gets done when and how you like.

These guys are awesome. I called them on a Friday at 9 AM for a move Saturday morning. They showed up promptly, complete the loading with little direction and delivered the load quickly. They are hyper organized while still being very pleasant in their interactions with us. Their initial quote over the phone was off by about $ 14.00…in other words dead on point. Great organiztion!

I used Mini Moves for a move from a third floor apartment with a narrow, winding staircase. The three movers were fast and efficient and were also quite polite. They came in at the quoted price and were careful with all of my stuff — which is the most important! I’d recommend them to anyone moving in the area.

I’ve used Mini Moves twice and have been impressed both times. The people in the office are friendly and know their stuff. On moving day the crew was on time, so polite, and really careful with our possessions. They were really efficient too, which saved us some money. I don’t know how they do all this and offer better prices than their competitors, but if I ever have to move again, I know who to call.

I was so impressed by the work Mini Moves just did for us! My husband and I have been wasting a ton of money renting two storage rooms for furniture and other junk we didn’t have space for when we moved in together TEN YEARS AGO. After less than a year, I wanted to get rid of my furniture, but it seemed like too much trouble to figure out how to deal with it. A friend recently recommended Mini Moves. In just two hours, our movers helped us pull everything out of our storage rooms, move the things we didn’t want into the «donation room» in our storage facility, and consolidate what was left into one room. They were amazingly efficient, well organized, and professional. They made sure that the items left in our one storage room was easily accessible, so now we can actually get to what we decided to keep. I couldn’t be more pleased about how this turned out. It would be great to use them again when we re-​do the flooring in our condo. I would recommend Mini Moves for any kind of move, not just for re-​locating; they’re definitely worth it!

I’ve moved several times between pittsburgh, Philly and boston over the last 10 years. This crew was one of the best (if not THE best) moving crews I’ve ever had. They were polite, skilled and hard workers. Had they not packed the truck as well as they did, I would have needed to come up with a Plan B for additional storage and I really didn’t have the time to do that. They job got done quickly and without any problems… highly recommend these guys

WIth only three days notice, George over at Mini Moves managed to find a mutually convenient time to move my daughter from Allston to Cambridge. It’s not easy finding a professional, affordable (and most importantly, not «sketchy») moving company for such a short haul.
The guys were courteous, professional, and didn’t waste a minute. After calling around taking bids, I can honestly say they were right in the middle. But their service surpassed our expectations by far. It was worth EVERY PENNY. And was, by far, the most stress free move I’ve ever seen.
We will definitely use MiniMovers again, and I recommend them without reservation.

These guys are AWESOME!
We are getting ready for an Open House, and we needed help getting the ton of heavy boxes and extra furniture to the basement (and also relocate stuff to different rooms). They came in and in a little over an hour they had everything in it’s place.

These guys are true professionals – hard workers, great attitudes. I can’t recommend them highly enough.
My girlfriend and I found that most of the cost of a full-​service moving company move from Somerville to New York was the fuel and drive time costs, so we decided to do rent a uHaul, but get loading/​unloading help on both ends, saving us thousands. The guys from Mini Moves loaded up the truck – it took them one hour to do what would have taken us all day, and the truck was not even half full, they packed it so well. When we arrived in NYC, not one thing had shifted. They were always in contact by phone prior to the job, and made our moving day almost completely stress free!

I was extremely satisfied with Mini Moves! It was a joy to have their help — nothing ever seems to go as planned when it comes to moving, but Mini Moves was an exception.
On the day of my move, my movers Bryan and Greg called me well in advance of my time slot and let me know that they were running ahead of schedule and could come early. They were extremely friendly and easy going. They were very quick and careful with my things.
I would use Mini Moves again in a heartbeat. It was a smooth process, a friendly process, and a good price. Their estimate and final charges were half of what some other companies quoted.

It’s a pain moving in Boston at the end of August/​beginning of September amongst college students arriving en mass. Amidst the heat and traffic, Mini Moves was the easiest part of my move.

Moved from Cambridge to Belmont in late April and had a great experience.
Our movers were courteous and didn’t waste any time. They were careful with our possessions, on time, and easy to work with. I felt terrible that one of them was severely allergic to cats since we have 2!
Of all the companies we got a quote from, Mini Moves & More was the most reasonable. Even though it was a small job, they took it seriously. Would definitely recommend!
