Finally had a chance to stop in and try this new place out, and it did not disappoint. It is nice to have a place that does«baked-from-scratch” – not the factory/processed stuff that is found elsewhere. The few small items we got were fantastic, and the owners were very nice. Can’t wait to try one of their cakes!

Today’s coffee and breakfast took a walk on the Turkish side. I’m granting five bright and shiny stars to Magic Bites and think it’s a great new addition to Arlington’s bakery scene. I felt very welcomed by the owner of this fairly new and unique bakery. His friendliness seemed quite genuine and I appreciated how he took the time to introduce me to all their products. I had only stopped in for a cup of coffee, but once I caught sight of the yummy treats in the glass case I couldn’t resist a little morning snack. I enjoyed my brief lesson on Turkish cuisine and made a mental note to return soon for their version of one of my all time favorites– the delicious and wonderful spanakopita. Magic Bites features an assortment of Middle Eastern style foods and specializes in homemade side dishes including hummus, muhammara, and eggplant or potato salads. Their inventory of sweets range from pastries, cookies, and cakes, to baklava, croissants, and scones. I tried the Borek today –a tiny pastry wrap made from phyllo dough and filled with cheese. Some of the borek varieties include ground beef as well. I was pleasantly surprised and can’t wait to give other menu items a try. The drip coffee was excellent with a bold flavor. They also offer espresso and latte. Props to this great family– owned business and I am glad to have a new addition to my regular list of local coffee/treat spots.

Great little bakery run by a very nice family. I can definitely recommend the double chocolate cookies, the meringues(which are very light and flavorful without being overly sweet), the baba ghanoush, and the simit which is like a sesame soft pretzel.

I had to get a birthday cake delivered the same day to someone in Belmont, MA. I work in NYC where I can find any number of bakeries to do that. I didn’t realize it wouldn’t be quite so simple. After calling about 20 bakeries and thinking I would have to tell my boss it wasn’t possible, I was lucky enough to reach Atilla at Magic Bites Bakery. He went above and beyond to ensure that a cake was delivered. He also emailed me a picture of the cake, and then emailed me when it was delivered. Amazing customer service!

Went in for coffee and left with a tasty lunch too. We tried the lahmajun which was delicious, I honestly can’t wait to go back and order this again. The owners are are very welcoming and this family operated café is a great addition to the neighborhood. Will definitely be back to try out some of their other authentic offerings.

We got a beautifully done and super tasty vanilla cake with a vanilla pudding center for my daughter’s first birthday, and a «smash» cake that she LOVED! Our guests said it was delicious, too! I love supporting local businesses and this is definitely one that I would like to see do well. Well worth stopping by for a coffee and pastry or putting in an order for a gathering!

Delicious! The spinach pie was warm from the oven and just what I wanted. The muhammara and hummus were so good that we finished the containers in one sitting. And they were so welcoming and friendly. Definitely will be going back!

Seconding the Muhammara. I have to stop myself from eating the entire container in one day. Their babagannush is also great — super authentic. I haven’t really tried any of the sweet products so I can’t comment on those but they always look delicious. And the folks working there are always incredibly sweet and generous, offering samples of most things they sell. An awesome addition to the neighborhood!

Magic Bites is a small family business. This store was opened only a few months ago. You can find there pastry products, boyoz(it is a kind of Sephardic Jews bagel) and simit(Turkish bagel) which are always fresh and delicious.

AMAZING. You need to go here. Now. Where do I even begin? The muhammara. Red pepper, pomegranate, walnut, onion, etc spread. Buy some pita chips for dipping and welcome to heaven. I probably buy at least one a week. I’ve tried muhammara everywhere and nothing compares to this homemade goodness. Whole foods and traders joes shouldn’t even call their stuff muhammara because it tastes like mass-produced bland nothingness. The only muhammara I’ve had that compares was in Turkey and I can’t afford to fly there just to buy more muhammara. Ok so I think you get the point… buy some muhammara. Oh and their croissants are perfect. Just perfect. Not too flaky. Not too oily. Just soft enough. Just buttery enough. Just perfect. Probably the best I’ve ever had and I’m pretty obsessed with croissants. The scones? Yup. Again perfect. Not too hard, not too soft, just perfect. They’re starting to branch out and offer more things which have all been great. I bought some eggplant spread last week that was delicious and they made some Turkish-style pizzas last week too that was awesome with minced meat and onions. Everything is homemade with real ingredients and love by the sweet owners. This location has changed owners quite a few times and these guys are by far the best and I really hope they stick around for a VERY long time. Oh and the coffee is delicious. I’m probably forgetting a bunch of other things I’ve tried. Muhammara. Muhammara. Did I mention the muhammara?

This place is terrific! You walk in and it smells like heaven. Their Turkish style baklava is out of this world. To top it all off they offer free samples and are super friendly!

Really great little bakery! Some standard American esque baked goods as well as some middle eastern. So friendly too! I wish they could have little tables outside so you could stay and linger. Definitely recommend.
