Love the chile relleno and mom loves the charro beans, they bring out with the chips & salsa. Great little Mexican food restaurant & Elizabeth is the best waitress! Haven’t had anything on the menu that wasn’t wonderful and the prices are tremendous.

Took one HOUR for our food to show up to the table. Things were wrong on the order. No mustard for hamburgers(didn’t tell us this when I initially ordered a hamburger for my 4 year old with meat and mustard only). Beef fajita meat was too chewy.

The shrimp cocktail is a JOKE I paid almost 8 dollars for a little piece of shit that barely had any shrimp in it and made me pay an extra dollar for a slice of avocado. Very very disappointed never coming here again

Hole in the wall! Don’t use the restrooms! If that doesn’t scare you away then give it a try. Great food! The salsa is amazing!

We love this little hole in the wall. Generally you seat yourself but sometimes there is a wait and the employees will seat you. The food is authentic and tasty. We buy their tamales by the dozen.

I had the Shrimp Ceviche and then the Shrimp Cocktail. They were both Great! My wife ordered the Chicken Salad and was only able to eat half of it. It was Huge! A small place that has great service and delicious food. Wish I lived closer :-(. I highly recommend this place!

I have been here twice and have enjoyed the experience. The waitstaff here is awesome. They work together to make sure the customers are full and happy when they leave. Large portions compliment the place which is small but cozy.

Enjoyed the food besides my friends food and queso being cold. Our real problem was the lack of attentiveness the whole staff gave us. We had to ask for chips and salsa twice. My friend had to get up and ask for a to go box after waiting for ten minutes for someone to visit our table. It was strange because it seemed like every other table was not treated this way. We waited for a ticket but gave up and just checked out. Not a thank you or a did enjoy your food. We thought the food was good but we won’t come back.

Love this place! Great food. Great environment. Cheap prices. Even cheaper lunch prices. You can get a whole meal for $ 5! Only had an iffy experience with one waitress, she seemed uninterested, but the other waitresses helped me out.

So here is your spot for delicious fajitas, authentic, large portions, on a dime budget! They do not serve alcohol because it’s all about the food here! And they come in droves for the value and quality. Good hot chips and salsa! For huge fajitas with all the fixins, and no up charge on extras like cheese and sour cream, your paying less then &8. Winner winner, fajita chicken dinner!

It was Father’s Day and my wife cleverly, and covertly, sifted through my bookmarked restaurants to select a place for lunch. Los Jarros had good ratings and we all love one-off Tex-Mex joints so it seemed like an ideal spot. Looks can be deceiving admittedly, but walking up to the entrance we noticed lots of discarded trash strewn around like there’d been a party the night before but folks hadn’t cleaned up yet. Additionally, there was a drastic, and concerning, sewer smell coming from the back of the restaurant. We’ve learned not to «judge a book by it’s cover» so in we went. Strike one; the restaurant was almost empty, but we waited nearly 15 minutes before someone even noticed us and took us to a table. Strike two; everything in the place appeared to have at least a decade’s worth(or two) of filth on it. We discovered the source of the sewer smell in the restrooms, which were far from clean. If the restroom, which I CAN see isn’t clean, what lurks in the kitchen which I CAN’T see? Strike three; the food was bland and edible only. Stale chips, chunky tomato sauce for salsa and poorly seasoned lukewarm food were the final blow to our experience here. I do have to say that the service(at least at our table) was friendly and on point. I don’t understand how a place like this gets such high ratings. There’s really too much competition in the metroplex to waste money here. It’s the simple things that make a good restaurant; clean facility, friendly service, and good food at a reasonable price. This place fails on all three.

Not bad Los Jarros, not bad. Please know that the three stars are for the pastor and the charro beans. That’s all you need up in this spot. The pastor has pineapple– the way I likes it babay. and the charro beans are delish. Other than that I dispise this place. Its always crowded, and the service is horrendous. I really don’t have anything else nice to say. so I’m cutting it short.

Wow! I’m still upset as to what my family(wife~n~kids) n myself went through at this place. Visiting from San Antonio, I was excited to see so many good reviews from this place so we decided to try it especially after seeing all those delicious pics. So here’s the downfall, only n ONLY after we had just sat down n ordered our drinks(5mins after we got there), the waiter came back n handed over a cup of water to my wife with a freaking ROACH!!! And I’m not talking about joint roaches’,. I’m talking about a freaking bug. It’s the first time this has ever happened to us,.so this morning it pretty much ruined our appetite… I think we came in too excited especially after seeing so much positive feedback, that after seeing that roach, it’s hard to believe that someone can actually still have an appetite to eat. So I’m very sorry to all those positive Unilocalers, this place is a «look away(No)» for me. N by the way,…it was sad that after the whole roach thing nobody really wanted to attend us, I think out of embarrassment/shame. Sad, Funny and upsetting experience all together! Too bad I couldn’t give it a «no-star»

It’s not everyday you find a good authentic restaurant that is easy on the wallet. The food was great and very filling. The major issue at this restaurant is the service, and that’s why I gave it 3 stars out of 5. From the moment we walked in to the moment we placed an order took 30 minutes, and the restaurant was not very busy at all. Overall, I would still recommend this place!

My husband and I come here frequently. The staff is always great, and the food is outstanding. My husband is from South Texas and he says this is as close as it gets to the Mexican food he grew up with. The prices are great too. Lunch specials starting at $ 4.75. I highly recommend Los Jarros.

This is an adorable little Mexican restaurant in between Center St. and Cooper! I had the best time during my low key, delicious, and inexpensive lunch, and I foresee many, many returns in the future! You walk into this small space and seat yourself at a booth or a table. It’s quite festive in here, with fun, traditional paintings and decorations on the walls. Los Jarros translates to «the jugs», and so naturally, there were jugs/jars of all sizes and colors around the restaurant. So cute. Our waitress was sweet as could be but not overbearing, and she kept us well watered and fed! The chips and salsa were fantastic, and the little cup of charro bean soup that comes out before your entrée was even better. Charro bean soup is like the phở of Mexican cuisine! Hot, brothy, and fragrant. Everyone has their own spin on it, but you always get those cozy, familiar flavors. with this soup, it’s smokey bacon and peppers! For my lunch, I chose the ½ order of Nachos al Pastor, which was under $ 5 and so, so good. The pork was marinated in a red sauce that had a nice heat, and each chip had plenty of beans and cheese. They were warm and beautiful and topped with jalapenos, and the guacamole and sour cream cooled my mouth. My boyfriend ordered the Carne Guisada, which he enjoyed thoroughly(although I think he liked my nachos better). Something else important you ought to know — Los Jarros has great fountain soda, woohoo! Not everyone does, but theirs is just right. If you ask for a coke, it’s Mexican coke in a bottle, otherwise they serve Pepsi products. I’ll come here again, 100%. The lunch prices are incredibly hard to beat — I don’t think there was anything over $ 8. Plus, we ordered a dozen tamales to go for under $ 9… that can be my dinner for the next 3 days!
