Lise was fantastic to work with. After having some heart issues that were related in part to poor diet habits, I saw her after a recommendation from a friend. I’ve never been a big fan of paying much attention to my diet(I don’t know many men in their thirties that are), but she made it easy and explained the science behind some of the recommendations she made. With her help and support as well as some hard work on my part, I’ve cut my cholesterol numbers in half in nine months and lost 35 pounds! She does an excellent job showing you exactly how much a serving size is with models/examples, and is good at determining what sort of interpersonal motivation approach will work best for you. She was very accessible and held convenient office hours, and was worth every penny; speaking of pennies, she also takes health insurance! When I first came to Lise, I had lost about 15 lbs. Progress had stalled. She gave me very specific advice for snacking and how to incorporate new foods into my habits. I saw Lise about monthly for a few months, just to ensure that I was on the right track. We’d discuss the new habits, how things were going, and she’d send me off with a new challenge to conquer. After a few months, I had the pattern down — how much I should be taking in, what sort of snacks to reach for, etc. I’ve lost a total of 45 lbs and am nearly at my goal. I’d highly recommend Lise for weight loss guidance. She was specific and tangible. It was invaluable to have an expert’s view of my eating habits.
