Excellent service. Efficient, cost-​effective, prompt, and reliable. We will be using them again when me move.

We just used Lend a Box for a move my girlfriend and I just made. Ordering the boxes online was super easy and the crates were in great shape. They provide labels, cable ties and even FRAGILE stickers allowing for the easy organization of all of our things. They dropped off all the crates so we didn’t have to go out and purchase moving boxes and they picked them up once we were done so we didn’t have to worry about getting rid of all the boxes. Overall this is a cost effective and environmentally friendly way to move. Also, we need an extra 2 days with some of the crates so they gave us an extension and picked them up a few days later. They were incredibly easy to deal with and very courteous. I would use them for moving again.

I honestly cannot say enough great things about this company. I’ve recommended them to all my friends because it’s the best way to move. It cost less than $ 100 to rent 25 large boxes, two wardrobes, a dolly (+free zip ties and labels) for a week WITH delivery and pickup!
The guy who did the drop off/​pick up was so nice (whispering and moving the boxes quietly when he dropped them off at 7 am before work and my roommates were sleeping), and helpfully explained everything.
The boxes were clean, and 25 was the perfect number for a one bedroom apartment. Plus, movers prefer these types of boxes since they stack easily and are uniform size. I also had more piece of mind with my breakables since they were in a hard plastic box.
I had such a pleasant experience. LAB made my move ridiculously less stressful, and I can’t recommend them enough!

We just wrapped up our rental period with Lend a Box and I cannot say enough good things about it. The crates are incredibly study, easy to stack, and they are immensely useful to both move using a truck or just haul the tiny leftover things from your old place in your car.
The office was incredibly helpful when we needed to change our drop-​off time, and even responded to an email and picked up the crates early. Lee, our delivery and pickup guy, is AMAZING and even played around with our very anxious dog for a bit.
This company provides excellent products, helps the environment, and the cost is very reasonable, especially when you think about how much time and money you save not using boxes.
Use this company. You absolutely will not regret it.

Renting these boxes was a great idea. It made it so easy to pack and move. With the dolly, you could roll the boxes around to everything you wanted to pack. You also didn’t need to worry that your box of fragile stuff ended up on the bottom of the pile because the boxes are nice and sturdy. I also think it makes it more efficient and faster (and cheaper if you hired movers) to move everything. Specifically, Lend A Box was wonderful. I thought the pricing was fair and the drop off and pick up could not have been easier. I would definitely rent from Lend A Box again for my next move!

What a great relief to be able to pack, and close with ease. Lend a Box is so much easier than using cardboard boxes. There is not taping shut boxes, or worry about getting rid of them when the move is over. Lend a Box delivers to your door, and picks up from your door. It’s so simple and easy, I’ll never do it another way.

I moved a one-​bedroom apartment to another one-​bedroom apartment. Lots of books, and clothes. Used 20 large and 5 small. Worked like a charm. Might have used a few more if I hadn’t a repurposed a bunch of old suitcases. Lend a Box also includes a wheeled sled to move them around, so when the movers brought them into the apartment, they simply wheeled them into the elevator 4 or 5 high and uploaded. So easy.
Unpacking is so easy too. The boxes are sturdy and strong. Can’t rave enough about this service.

I had a local move and didn’t want to bother with cardboard boxes. Enter Lend A Box. Since my move was small, I opted to pick up the boxes because I didn’t need enough to meet the delivery minimum. I only got 6 small boxes and 1 wardrobe — all were super clean and ready to use. The 6 small boxes fit perfectly in the back of my Subaru Outback without having to stack them. The small boxes are a good size, easy to carry, and stack nicely — no tape needed! I only got 6 because I’d pack & load, drive to my new place, unload & unpack, and repeat. The wardrobe box held a good amount of clothes, and was easy to use and also fit, fully loaded, in my Subaru with 3 of the small boxes. I returned them at the end of the week.
It was easy to reserve the boxes. The staff are all super friendly and easy to work with. The only downside is that if you pick up the boxes, you have to drive to their location in Chantilly, which was a bit of a haul for me. It would be nice if they had additional pick up/​drop off points. But I would definitely use them again as I had a super easy move.

These boxes are the bizness! I probably had them delivered a little too early, but having them picked up on Monday after my Thursday holiday weekend move was awesome and kept me working to unpack. It looks like I’ve lived in my place forever! Also, good to note that not one of my fragile items were broken — the boxes are super protective. Thumbs up all around!

Third time’s the charm? Each time was perfect, no issues and super friendly. It makes moving so much easier. You don’t have to worry cardboard boxes. Highly recommended!

My girlfriend and I recently moved in together, I used Lend a Box and she used cardboard — in the side to side comparison it was clear the lend a boxes were the winner! Easier to pack and stack — on wheels, and required way less time with regard to having to make up the boxes, wrap items in paper for shipping etc. With Lend a Box you can literally throw everything in there and know it’s going to get to your destination in tact. My one suggestion is to purchase more of the wheel dollies, if I did this again I’d want one dolly per 5 boxes.

If you’re planning to move and need boxes, you need to use Lend a Box.
We recently had a close move from DC to Arlington and I wanted to be able to slowly pack items up throughout the week to move on our own before the last day when the movers took care of the furniture. Not only are the boxes environmental friendly since they reuse them over and over again, but the trolley that fits the boxes makes it a piece of cake to move them place to place — in our case from apt to car to apt. The zip ties provided were great for securing the boxes and they came very clean and ready to use. It was very easy to order and schedule a time and location for delivery and pick up, and I appreciated how all of the items included and prices were already listed on the website. Don’t bother purchasing cardboard boxes or reusing dirty cardboard boxes as this is the perfect solution. And inexpensive! I couldn’t be more pleased with the boxes and company as they really helped us with a smooth moving experience.

The process and boxes were exactly as advertised. Customer service was friendly and delivery/​pickup was on time. What else can I say? If only every service provider were this efficient and high-​quality.

I accidentally set my pickup time for way before my rental ended, and they refunded some of my money to account for the sooner pickup! The pickup and dropoff were perfectly on time, and the people are very friendly and easy to work with. Great service. The boxes are easy to use. Plenty of zip ties and labels.
One note, the boxes are a little heavy. Would recommend they phase out the biggest boxes and eventually invest in a lighter plastic. But since I used movers I didn’t care that much about the weight.

My boxes were delivered right on time and the delivery driver was very polite and helpful. I decided against renting two wardrobe boxes and sent them back. Within two days I had the refund for these two items in my bank account.
The moving package I chose had clean, sturdy containers to put my thing in and it was such a pleasure to not have to tape up cardboard boxes and hope they hold. The containers closed easily and the zip ties secured them. It made moving a breeze and this a fantastic company. I recommend them highly. Awesome bunch!!!

Lend a box is THE WAY to move. I heard about this company through my friend Lisa who tried it for the first time during her move. She said it was seamless and perfect and she was absolutely right. First, its the easiest thing to do. You go online, you pick your set of boxes that work for your apartment or home. You pay the fee which is so minimal and worth it not to have to collect or buy boxes, and its 100% worth it not to have packing tape!
A few days before your scheduled delivery they email you with all of your details and confirm the delivery location. They are extremely communicative with delivery and pick-​up. Lend a Box showed up exactly on-​time. The gentlemen who came to deliver were so nice and friendly.
The process to pack the bins was great. Each bin had a label and two zip ties. It couldn’t have been better. The bins were perfectly clean, easy to use and stored SO MUCH STUFF.
For pick-​up they had the same process. They confirmed my pick-​up, I gave them the details for my building and voila they were gone.
I loved Lend a Box and while I hope not to move anytime soon, if I do, I am reserving my moving bins with them.
Worth it, do it, they are awesome.

This is seriously the most genius business model. I used a similar service in NYC (Jugglebox, check out my review if you feel like going back a few years) and loved it. So when it came time for me to switch apts in DC, I was beyond thrilled to find that LendABox exists.
They deliver you sturdy, clean boxes that hold a ton of stuff and stack well. And then they take them back a week or two (or three, or however long it takes you to unpack) later. I got the studio package, which was more than enough (I was moving my bedroom + a bunch of kitchen/​random stuff from a 2BR) — I had about four boxes left over on moving day, which was great for pillows and last minute «throw this in a box» items.
My one (minor, minor) gripe was the wardrobe box, which took two people to put together. But that’s almost assuredly because I have short T-​Rex arms and couldn’t fold it out long enough to make everything stick.
Bottom line: I’m at a point in my life (hellooo, I’m almost 30) where I will pay for someone to make things easier for me. I paid about $ 120 for a two week rental (I could have probably gotten it done in one, but I didn’t want to delay packing). It was beyond worth it to not have to find, assemble, and dispose of cardboard boxes. It also gave me much peace of mind (which one always needs during moving) to know where my boxes were coming from and that they were completely bug free — no one wants to save $$ getting boxes at a liquor store and then pay for it later with some bed bug treatments. It also made the actual moving process quicker because of the dolly/​boxes being so stackable. I know my movers appreciated it.

Perfect boxes for the move!
I saved a lot of time in this move by using their boxes. Didn’t have to buy cardboard boxes which come with the pain of buying from market, unfolding/​taping, and trashing.
Lend-​a-​Box boxes are really easy to use, clean and strong. They delivered/​picked up the boxes to/​from my apartment and provided all necessary accessories like ties and box stickers which made packing. I also used their wardrobe boxes, rental of which is very similar to uHaul boxes but they were way more spacious and strong, not to mention the benefit of them being delivered at home. I will definitely use them again for my next move.

I’ll never move again without Lend A Box. I can’t recommend them highly enough. It really felt like they were cheering us on throughout our family’s move! Lend A Box saved me money, and saved my sanity.
They brought the boxes on time, and were so thoughtful about talking with me about exactly where I’d like them to leave the boxes since I wasn’t planning to be home when they were delivered. They were happy to bring us another set of boxes when I realized I hadn’t ordered enough. The owners and staff I worked with were so friendly and sweet, it felt like they were instant friends.
The boxes themselves are great — we saved SO MUCH TIME by not having to build cardboard boxes. And they were so easy to move around the house and stack up as we finished packing each box. (No worries about overpacking and then having the box fall apart.)
I also appreciate that they decreased the environmental impact of our move — there’s only so many times you can re-​use or re-​purpose a cardboard box that’s been used for a move, but these plastic boxes are super sturdy and will help many people in the future.
I’ll never move without plastic boxes again, and I will always use Lend A Box. Love them. THANK YOU GUYS!

Used them for our families move several months ago. It was my wife & I’s first time using them. Very satisfied with the service. They brought the boxes on time, called us when necessary and were easy to talk to when we needed an extra day with the boxes.
In the end, it saved us quite a bit too.
Boxes were very durable and easy to carry or roll.
