Specialties
We believe that simple is better-and that’s what we’re good at! L.A. Bar & Grill is a simple neighborhood gathering place that doesn’t try to be anything different than what, or who, we are. Maybe you’re tired of all the upscale, cookie-cutter, high-end, «yuppie bars» in the area; or the hundred or so Irish «pubs.» Good! We are too! We believe that Arlington has lost some of its local flavor and everyone tries too hard to impress. In Lower Arlington, we’re just laid back people hanging out at a laid back place where you can kick your feet up and enjoy a laid back atmosphere. So while you’re here, laugh, play loud music, bust someone’s chops, drink ’til they’re cute, and enjoy any or all of our large food portions and made-fresh-daily menu items.
History
Established in 2006.
LA Bar and Grill was established on May 5th, 2006 between 2 friends who were looking to create a neighborhood bar in Lower Arlington. LA is one of the oldest establishments that has been on Columbia Pike since the revitalization projects began. LA has an established group of regulars both during «Happy Hour» and as the night goes on. Many people come in feeling relaxed and comfortable, noting that LA reminds them of their «local» bar back home. LA offers a full menu ranging from appetizers, burgers, sandwiches, to entrée’s, as well as a late night menu staring at 10 pm. Also, stop by on a Thursday or Saturday to enjoy karaōke that will surely not disappoint. So if a low key, laid back, friendly neighborhood bar with quality food, entertainment, and staff are what your looking for please stop by. LA Bar and Grill is located on the back end of the red brick building, across the street from the Giant on Columbia Pike.
Meet the Manager
Kyle D.
Manager
Kyle came to L.A. Bar 5 years ago as a bar back and we haven’t been able to get rid of him since! He worked his way up to server and finally to bartender. After proving his love for L.A. Bar and being the general «Go To Guy», he accepted the General Manager position and is running with it. Kyle has been plans to really insert L.A. Bar into the community even more than it already is and proved that by taking such an active part in the Columbia Pike Annual Blues Festival in July. We can’t wait to see what he comes up with next.
