We hired Justin to DJ and emcee our wedding and couldn’t have been more pleased with his professionalism, responsiveness and ability to make our reception the party we wanted it to be. From the beginning Justin took the time to get to know us and learn exactly what type of reception we wanted. Because he runs his own business, we were always able to get in touch with him and met with him several times before the big day. His website made it very easy to build a playlist for the reception and he was even able to secure a dozen or more songs that we wanted but that he didn’t have in his playlist. Once the day arrived he was on time and followed through with everything he said he would do. Our venue was acoustically tricky and we were concerned that the music combined with the guests talking would be overwhelmingly loud. After visiting the site Justin came up with a plan to get the sound just right and it ended up being perfect. He also handled the emceeing with just the right tone. We were so impressed with Justin that we even hired him to DJ a work event for us. We would recommend him to anyone, he is awesome!

My partner and I contacted Justin (JG Entertainment) about playing at our wedding after conducting an extensive Internet search for DJs in the Washington, DC area. We were looking for a DJ who was professional, reliable, in touch with younger crowds, and, most importantly, pro-​LGBT. Justin seemed to fit the bill perfectly before we even contacted him, and after meeting him in person we knew we made the right decision!
Because we were planning a 1980s formal wedding (yes, that’s right!), we knew we needed to work with someone who had a fun, laid-​back personality — and Justin did not disappoint. He was as excited about the wedding as we were, and we were truly grateful for his enthusiasm.
As expected, Justin was incredibly reliable and flexible throughout the entire planning process, and he accommodated all of our crazy requests right up through the day of the wedding. Needless to say, our wedding was a huge success, and at the heart of it all were Justin’s amazing DJing skills. We take our 80s music seriously, and Justin hit every note needed to create the ultimate dance party. Our guests raved about the event, and thanked us for hiring a DJ that knew how to mix music properly.

I rented speakers and lights for my daughter’s 13^th birthday. The price for rental was very reasonable and so easy to set up & take down. They do offer to set up/​take down but it was really easy to put together on our own. We hooked an iPod up and our daughter’s party was a huge hit! Just is really easy to work with and was able to pick up the equipment the next day. I highly recommend renting from JG Entertainment for your next party!

I rented speakers from JG Entertainment for my wedding, and I was really pleased with the result. The sound was great, and the setup was incredibly easy — just plug into a computer and go!
Justin was responsive and worked with me to pick out the best set-​up for the room. I really appreciate that he didn’t try to oversell me, and the speaker rental prices were very reasonable. I would highly recommend him!

We hired JG for our wedding because I knew of Justin from his time doing Georgetown bar and event stuff a few years ago. While he wasn’t personally available on our date, the DJ that he recommended was perfect for our wedding. I really can’t say enough about them.
We wanted a younger (25 – 30) DJ with no cheesy DJ voice or antics who could just read the crowd and play good music. And NO line dances… ever. Every other DJ we talked to wanted us to give them basically an entire playlist. Let me ask this: if we provide the entire playlist, what is the DJ doing exactly? Announcing the cake cutting? We could’ve used our iPod for the music, and I have a loud uncle that would’ve been MORE than happy to make announcements.
Also, another question we asked the DJ’s we spoke to is «if the dance floor is dead, what would be your go to song to get everyone out there.» Every single one, except Nick from JG, said «Cupid Shuffle.» No thanks… not at our wedding.
Nick did an amazing job working with us to get a feel for what type of music we like, assured us he’d play the 6 songs we specifically requested and make the minimal announcements we had planned.
On the date of the wedding, he was early, his set up looked professional and sleek, and he did exactly what we wanted him to do… keep everyone dancing. I highly recommend JG Entertainment.

We found JG Entertainment online, and picked them to DJ our wedding after talking to about five other DJ services. From our very first communication with him, Justin was professional, responsive, and eager to help us do exactly what we wanted within our budget.
We were NOT disappointed! We found Justin to be by far the easiest and most enjoyable of our vendors to work with. Ours was an outdoor wedding, with a bunch of different sound needs all over our venue. Justin met with us twice in person, exchanged numerous emails, and worked closely with us to figure out everything that would be needed to pull it all off. He was wonderful. Most of all, we just loved his easy-​going demeanor– fit our style perfectly!
And of course, our wedding went off beautifully. Perfect music, great dancing, everyone had a blast (and told us so!). Would definitely use him again.

Needed a speaker system for a roof top party. After searching the Internet and making a few calls, I found JG to have the better prices and better customer service. Coordinating with JG was easy as he was very responsive to calls/​emails. All equipment delivered & set up in advance. The speaker system sounded sweet, I will use this company again for the next party

We go to Trivia Night at Justin’s Café almost every Tuesday night at 8pm and JG Entertainment makes it awesome. He asks challenging, fun questions and doesn’t give people all night to answer each one, which is great. He plays 1 song in between questions which keeps it going.
We do get the feeling that people are cheating sometimes and if we had one negative, it would be that people have too much time to turn in their guesses and are looking on their phones for the answers. Maybe just 1 minute to answer would be better.
Otherwise, we always have a great time and look forward to the questions that Justin is going to come up with each week!

We’ve hired JG Entertainment for a ticketed event on a boat with 100+ people, and his music selection and sound were perfect for the occasion. They brought all the equipment — no effort on our part — and their DJ Justin did a great job getting everyone on the dancefloor shortly after we left the dock. His selection kept them there all night, and the party was an enormous success. You wont regret this choice for a DJ for your event.
