Jewel’s Cupcakes

Oh, my! Where do I even begin? Hmmm… I think it was back in 2011 that the owner/​baker hosted a cupcake tasting in Arlington. When I met this wonderful woman, she confessed that she just recently discovered this passion for baking after taking a class at Michael’s. Very cool! After the tasting, I knew that this would be where I could turn to for perfect cupcakes and it was a hit everywhere I brought them!
Later that year, I brought the strawberry cupcakes with the chocolate dipped strawberries on top to a party – there was conflict over them because they were so good! I didn’t even get to try them that night…
The next year, I bought some for my boyfriend’s birthday and discovered the most amazing flavor – Lavender with lemon crème icing! Now all my friends request Jewel’s cupcakes all the time!
I’ve gotten Red Velvet for another friend’s birthday – it was rich and delicious. The baker also has what she calls «X-​Rated» cupcakes which are cupcakes made with spirits. Those are fun and yummy! Definitely not recommended for children in large amounts. Lol I asked birthday girl what her favorite drink was and when I went to the baker with the recipe for the drink, she CREATED a cupcake just like it! It was AMAZING!
Yes, Jewel’s Cupcakes is a small business with no storefront of their own. However, if you happen to pick up at the BBQ restaurant – I highly recommend their baked potato with everything on it! It’s so big, you can have it for two meals! The family that owns the place is really nice. They’ll have one in the oven for me so I can have one hot, fresh, and ready!
She also hosted a cupcake tasting on my side of town for my work and when my co-​workers walked through those meeting room doors that night, they said it was like walking into heaven! The set-​up was beautiful, the cupcakes were bountiful with all their different flavors, and she even threw in some other special treats for us to take home and to thank our most valued customers with. She goes way above and beyond the call of duty and I’m willing to pay more for her service than she’ll let me.
Celebration season is coming up again for me and I’m looking forward to what flavors I want to try next. I can’t really go wrong when I use Jewel’s Cupcakes. The baker and I have built a solid friendship. She takes my personal checks (who does that anymore right?), and earlier this year when I was ill, she drove across town (I live in Richardson) to drop off my order! I’ve been on the hunt for good cupcakes that aren’t overpriced, sitting behind the glass counter all day, and where the service is friendly. Sure, if I’m really desperate, I’ll go to Sprinkles. However, if I want REAL cupcakes, the search is over for me – I call Jewel’s Cupcakes everytime.

DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY
After multiple attempts to contact them, I ended up getting a refund because this so called company doesn’t answer the phone or respond to email. The address listed is a BBQ restaurant and no real storefront exists for this bakery. It appears to be a scam that takes your money and doesn’t deliver any goods.
