great 1^st experience! less painful than the sugaring place i go to. new customer!

Love this place, been coming here about 6 months. I generally online book through Unilocal,but had to cancel once and they didn’t give me any grief. The ladies here are gentle, friendly, and thorough — and explain/​answer any questions I have while they’re doing their thing. It somehow seems less painful than other places I’ve been. They only take cash for tips, but it’s not a huge deal. Definitely recommend!

Lynn was amazing! I’m really really I mean really picky when it comes to my eyebrows. To the point where I have gone to my last brow stylist for six years!
So choosing a new one was to say the least, scary.
Lynn created a slightly new shape, but kept my arches in perfect shape and preserved the fullness! Loved the results!
Her under warm wax was as painless as it could get. I didn’t feel much discomfort and when I got home, there was pretty much zero irritation, even though I put on my tight sweater as soon as she was done waxing.
A true professional. Kept the talk to minimum, yet complemented my skin just to ease up the ambiance a bit.
The space is clean. Staff is friendly. I’ll book my next wax here and will recommend it to all my girlfriends.

I heard a lot of great things about this place and its owner Sarah, so I booked an appointment and waited 2 weeks in order to be seen by her… Sarah. But when I got there, it was like a bait and switch, Sarah was not the one who performed my service which was totally disappointing. If I wanted some random to do my service, I would have not waited those two extra weeks, just sayin’. My brazilian went fine, but when I got home and took a shower I realized that I still had wax on me and parts of my nether regions were stuck together. Can we say «Ouch»??? Overall, my experience was okay but I cant see myself as a repeat client.
As a side note, I would suggest that the tech make sure that the bed is locked before inviting a client to lay down. I almost busted my a** when I went to lay down. Secondly, put a lid on the trashcan or empty it when its full. No one wants to see all that…

This place is amazing. Have been going here consistently for a Brazilian for the last couple of months. Least painful of previous places I’ve been to and at an affordable price. Sara is very fast and got me in and out in less than 15 minutes. Lynn took a little while longer, but was incredibly thorough. Highly recommend these ladies!

I found this gem while I was looking for places on Unilocal while living in Falls Church. I now live in Alexandria and still drive out of my way to come to this place for all my waxes. The staff is amazing and courteous. The online booking helps significantly as well and I can cancel easily. Highly recommend.
The first time coming in was a bit confusing. It’s in the hair salon. Just tell the receptionist you’re there for a wax.

I got my brow waxing and tint there. A very good experience. I love the shape of my brow now, it looks fresh and so natural. The room is clean and sweat. Sarah is professional and she does it in a neat way. I got a discount for doing 2 and used the Unilocal coupon I bought, so a very good deal, much cheaper than other places! Would recommend it to friends!

They are my favorite place to receive a Brazilian wax! Every time I visit the salon everyone makes me feel at home. All of the ‘waxologist’ are great at what the do. Love them!

I’ve been coming here to get a Brazilian for about two years. Everyone is professional, kind, and thorough. The whole procedure is quick and less painful than anywhere else I’ve been. Now it doesn’t feel good, but for some reason, it doesn’t hurt when I go here. Hence, why I haven’t gone anywhere else for the past two years.

Best Brazilian I have ever experienced!!! I’m actually looking forward to my wax! Sarah was extremely gentle, friendly, professional, and knowledgable. I am so happy that my friend recommended this place to me, otherwise I would still be subjecting my self to expensive pain at red door.

Quick and efficient. Won’t claim painless as a Brazilian always comes w pain, but it’s minimal and the ladies here make you comfortable while the job gets done.

You’re in and out with little fanfare. The staff are friendly, if a bit distant when you first check-​in. Place is well-​decorated and very clean, nice and airy.
After getting there for my noon appt with Mimi, I waited 30 min to be seen. I don’t know if this is the norm or if they quadruple booker appts, but wasn’t expecting the wait after being seen instantly the only time before that I have been here.

Great wax! Very thorough and relatively painless. She also touched up on areas to make sure they were clean. The technician was very nice and calming. Definitely recommend this salon for a Brazilian!

I found Sarah via Unilocal about two years ago, just a few weeks after she opened her salon in Ballston. Since then her business has continued to grow and now has three rooms and quite a few ladies (maybe 3 – 4) working with her.
Let’s face it, waxing is not the most fun thing to do on a regular basis, but Sarah makes it as painless as possible — and after 10 years of waxes I’ve tried quite a few places! So far I’ve only had Brazilian’s but they do offer a wide array of services for both men and women (a male friend of mine gets full back waxes here from Lin and he also loves it, although he’ll never admit to it).
This is not a luxury spa, but it is comfortable, quick, and very clean. They use a new stick every time they dip in the wax so you’re not being slathered with other people’s germs! They also use both soft wax and hard wax (I think that’s what they’re called) with strips and that helps with those especially delicate areas.
I have also been waxed by Mimi and Lin — both of whom are also amazing.
At time of writing this the cost of a Brazilian is $ 50 which is really reasonable for this area! They also have a frequent customer card which entitles you to half off on your 6^th visit.
They have an online appointment program which is really simple to use and makes scheduling your appointment really easy, you can even book a specific person or just book an available slot.
I’ve always paid cash… I believe they now take credit card for service, but you must pay for tip in cash. Just bring cash to be on the safe side!

2. This place is close to ballston metro and is actually located inside salon Istanbul. I would go there again. The entire process took 30minutes and my legs are spring ready.

Sarah is excellent at what she does. Very fast, thorough, friendly, and even honest when she missed a spot and went back. It is hard to find decent male waxing that is professional and does not cost exorbitant amounts — especially in DC.
Well worth the cost and she deserves a nice tip.

Sadly, I can’t agree with the rest of the reviewers. I am not giving 2 stars because I have no real basis for comparison – my only other bikini waxing experience was like 6 years ago and I just remember it being super painful. I decided to give it another go because I was preparing for a boudoir photography shoot and wanted to make sure no hair showed up on camera.
If you are a modest person at all, this is not the place for you. It is very «pants off and on the table» situation. My friend told me to ask for the extended bikini wax so that is what I made the appointment for. Lin gave me a bunch of different options for design (style? pattern?) and I wasn’t really sure what she was talking about for a lot of them since I had very little experience with this. I just said I wanted a good amount of hair left on the top (gestured towards specific area). So, this may be my bad because I got frustrated with not being able to understand what she was asking me so I told her to just do her thing. Well apparently she was talking about giving me a Brazilian wax which wasn’t what my appointment was for. I had my eyes shut tight the entire time so I didn’t realize what was happening until it was… too late. Sigh.
The wax itself was even more painful then I remember… why do we do this to ourselves again? The best part is when I had to roll over on my stomach and pull by bum apart for her to get that area… the room is equipped with a full length mirror right at the head of the table so when you’re doing this to yourself you can give yourself a good look and wonder what the heck you’re doing here and who exactly you’re doing this for. (sorry for the rant… the jury will disregard)
During my appointment there was a man who came into the salon and was talking and laughing very loudly. The practical side of me knew he wasn’t going to walk in the door with my pants down or anything but I did remember reading that Unilocal review where that happened which made me a little paranoid.
When I checked out she charged me the extra $ 5 for the full Brazilian but kindly waived the cost difference when I explained that I didn’t realize that was what I had agreed to. Either way, there was a Unilocal check-​in deal for 10% off the Brazilian so it would have been the same price either way.
Unfortunately the hair started growing back after 10 days. I did some research online and found out that this can happen when you are a first-​timer or haven’t waxed in a long time so I can’t really blame the salon for that. Still… for only 10 days of hairlessness it was hardly worth the pain. Le sigh.
