Event Accomplished

Megan was our wedding planner and I’m not really sure what we would have done without her. Megan made sure everything ran smoothly on the wedding day and, in the opinion of my wife and I, went above and beyond to make our wedding perfect. She provided a very detailed timeline and met with us multiple times before the wedding to make sure every detail was taken care of. I even planned to pick up the wedding favors the day of as they were baked goods, and Megan wouldn’t hear of it. She insisted that I relax on the wedding day.
Most of all she made sure everything got back to us at the end of the night when my wife and I were clearly too inebriated to deal with vendors and transporting wedding items back to the hotel. We also got tons of compliments from the wedding party about how great of a job Megan did.
I would highly recommend events accomplished for any planning needs.

Wow, what can I say about Vicky! She is AWESOME! So awesome in fact, that she is my very first review on Unilocal (after using it for many years!). I just got married this past weekend in my parents’ backyard, and it truly was absolutely perfect. From the moment I first spoke to Vicky on the phone, I knew she was going to be an excellent fit. She, like myself, has an undergraduate degree in engineering, so that was my first clue that she was smart, organized and very attentive to details, which is extremely important to my type A personality.
I hired Vicky as a ‘day-​of’ wedding planner, but she went above and beyond my expectations. She met with us several times (via phone and in person) a few months beforehand, was always responsive to any questions or guidance I needed throughout the process. She started really shining through the Thurs before the wedding when the tents, tables, chairs, etc. were being delivered to my parents’ house. The tent people were less than efficient and ended up needing to come back again on Fri. They were there ALL day Thurs and Fri, which precluded us from being able to decorate the tent with latterns, lights, etc. Vicky rearranged her schedule and assured us she would stay at the house until everything was set up, even when we had to leave for our rehearsal dinner. She even coordinated and helped with some of the decorating!
The big day came around, where we had a small private ceremony in the backyard, then the bigger reception in the evening. I literally did not have to think about a thing the whole day, while Vicky was running around taking care of EVERYTHING, telling me where to be at what time and what to do. The day really was more than perfect, and I know that it wouldn’t have all come together so seemlessly without Vicky. My new husband and my parents kept commenting «thank goodness for Vicky!!» throughout the whole night!
I am SO glad I found Vicky and Event Accomplished. I HIGHLY recommend the staff at Event Accomplished to do your event/​wedding planning! The timelines, layouts, and meetings were so productive and comprehensive, every little detail was well thought out and planned, well in advance, so there were few unexpected surprises. Even throughout the night she was doing work, making sure our cards and gifts were accounted for, our silver champagne flutes were taken care of, being the main point of contact for everyone, etc. With all the work and effort she put in, I definitely feel like I underpaid her significantly. I heart Vicky :-)

We hired Event Accomplished for «day of» wedding coordination. We worked with Megan and she was wonderful. Even though she was only hired to help us with day of coordination, she met with us multiple times in the months just before the wedding and provided a lot of help finalizing the details — from coordinating with our vendors to designing the layout for our ceremony seating, dining tables, etc. Megan definitely went above and beyond what I would have expected, including offering to pick up and deliver lunch for my bridesmaids and me before the ceremony. During the actual wedding/​reception, I did not worry about a single thing. The day was perfect. My only regret is that we did not hire Event Accomplished earlier in our wedding planning process!

Vicky Choy and Event Accomplished were the single best decision that we made in all of our wedding planning. She was so organized and on top of things and this made the planning and organizing aspect of our wedding as stress-​free as possible for us. She is so easy to get along with and so communicative and responsive. She is super experienced and a great resource as you are hiring vendors and putting together a time line of the day. Our day was so special and went so smoothly and Vicky was invaluable in ensuring that this was the case. I would highly recommend Event Accomplished for day-​of wedding coordination.

It’s hard to know where to begin! I met Vicky only after my mother had met with her and before I was sold on the idea of having a wedding planner. I knew we would need help the day of the wedding but thought that we could take care of everything else in advance. In hindsight, I’m thrilled that my mother didn’t believe me. Vicky was incredibly patient, understanding, direct, attentive and professional. She helped me find a replacement DJ at the last minute, advised on where we could make things easier and where we needed to put more or fewer resources, gave great tips on some of the D.I.Y. elements of the wedding, and was generally a great sounding board for some of the ideas and issues that came up during the wedding.
Specifically, Vicky’s timeline for the event and templates for planning was really helpful in not only making sure everything was covered, but in allowing us to feel like all of the details were taken care of and we could just relax and enjoy ourselves.
The wedding day was perfect, I felt completely taken care of and really present — I remember everything! — because I could focus on the parts that were important to me and trust that Vicky was taking care of the details.
ADDITION: I just want to add that I’m still in touch with Vicky a year later and got a lovely card on my anniversary.

Vicky was my wedding planner, and I really can’t say enough about her. Let’s just start from the beginning…
I interviewed two planners, and I knew I wanted Vicky right away because I was confident that she could get the job done. She didn’t want to be my best friend – she wanted to help us achieve the wedding of our dreams while staying under budget.
When we were deciding on what services we wanted her to take care of, she showed us this very detailed list of services, kind of like an a la carte menu. We wanted to keep our wedding planner services at $ 3000 I think, and so we basically picked and chose which things we wanted her to do. SO SIMPLE. No negotiating necessary.
After that, she made it feel like our wedding was the only wedding she was working on. Such attention to detail, with a balance of her suggestions and getting our input so that it would still be our wedding.
She was honest and straightforward about what she thought were bad ideas, which made us trust in the things that she was excited about and thought were great ideas.
Vicky just has so much experience that – really – every little tiny detail was taken care of, so that on the day of our wedding, all we had to do was get our hair and makeup done and show up at the wedding. (My husband and the groomsmen were actually bored the day of our wedding!) The weeks before the wedding, my friends – who know that I get stressed out managing dinner reservations – were amazed to see me so stress-​free!
Lastly, and maybe I should’ve opened with this, as soon as we booked all of our vendors, I knew that the cost of having Vicky as our wedding planner paid for itself. The money and time we saved using Vicky’s contacts (especially DJ, caterer and florist) was significant. SIGNIFICANT.
