Issa is amazing. Don’t be fooled by how fast he is, he really listens to your requests and nails it every time. My hair always looks just as I want it! Not to mention he and his wife are so incredibly nice.

Oh no. A bummer to excitedly head over to see sweet Issa, but this time was a true disappointment. The price is cheaper but this time truly showed why. I had color on my hair for a max of 15m after all foils were applied and after the wash, I knew it was bad news even looking at the wet color. My pictures don’t do it justice, but I thought I would attach for your viewing. My roots look Worse than when I went in, they are anywhere from ¼ to a ½ inch from my scalp making my roots hideously bold. The color, oh my color — it is yellow from not leaving the color on long enough. Shimmer lights doesn’t even help, and now I have to go have my hair re-​highlighted and toned. First time was great, but I will never return again.

I am happy to have found Dazzle Salon and Issa. The salon is a «sleeper» in that you wouldn’t expect to find as great a stylist in a salon that is not all «bells and whistles.» I’ve been fortunate enough over the years to have worked with some of the *famous* stylists (Christophe, Oribe, Jose Eber, etc.) and I find Issa right up there in the caliber of his work. When I’m in his chair, I usually look down to read or do some work and don’t even bother to look up again until he’s done. I’ve never been disappointed. And it’s such a better price than a gazillion dollar hair appointment!
Issa knows me, my preferences, what works for me and then he also suggests ideas relative to the season. He has done my color, cut and styling for about a year. Now I’m all set with a favorite West coast hair salon (The Parlour in Palm Desert) and East coast with Dazzle in Arlington. The only reason I don’t give it a 5^th star is not to set up expectations with the «no frills» factor.
I also appreciate the easy parking in the back and the overall kindness of Issa and the team he has at Dazzle.
Try it, you’ll like it, and if not that’s OK too… Keeps more availabilities open for the «Issa fans» to get in when we need to!

Very nice guy, but was not happy with my color. He foiled my hair right at my part, and didn’t pull the color all the way to my scalp, so I could already see a definite line the day I got my hair done. I wanted him to match the color I already had, but he ended up doing very cool brown lowlights. So the bottom half of my hair didn’t match the top. Also, I was cringing the whole time he styled my hair because he was using way too much heat on it and was really rough with the round brushing. Currently, I can’t even part my hair how I like to, because of the line and need to go get it fixed somewhere.

Very classy salon, Issa is a talented & sincere stylist. Had only a hair cut but he helped create a look that complimented what I was looking for. Thanks, Issa!

Excellent cuts by Issa. I was in & out for a major cut overhaul in 30 minutes including a wash & blowout. I had a lot of breakage & regrowth & with this cut it is now undetectable when worn curly & minimally noticeable when worn straight. Just go to him.

I was able to schedule an appointment within a few days and they took me right when I requested, early Saturday morning. I loved what he did! Color and cut and out the door in about an hour and a half! He worked with my existing blonde highlights to make it much more fitting for the cooler temps (I go darker in the fall/​winter). Highly recommend! I’ll be back.

Dazzle Salon: A hair miracle happened here! Unlike my experience with other local salons, at Dazzle, I got the services requested at the reasonable price quoted, and in record time!
Issa was my stylist and successfully changed my extremely dark roots into blonde highlighted hair! Now I have blonde highlights that actually look like blonde highlights, (as opposed to hair that is one color all over, or even worse, the dreaded orange, not blonde scenario). Issa also gave me a more modern haircut and showed me exactly where to part it for best results. That makes a huge difference in the finished look whenever I style it myself at home.
The appointment started on time and Issa is fast with the foils. I was in and out within an hour and a half for consultation, highlights, cut and style. Through it all, Issa was very attentive. He checked several foils personally and repeatedly while I was processing. He did a unique texture thing with the scissors post haircut and my hair came out great!
The salon experience itself was very relaxing. My stylist, Issa, truly delivered with results and service. Professionalism reigns at Dazzle.

Issa has been my stylist and colorist for 11 great years! I’ve referred my dearest friends to him. He is the stylist that I’ve always wanted… I sit and he works magic. He can work with all types of hair. I’m Asian and don’t have a lot of hair, but he makes it look like I do! I’ve had my hair long and layered with blonde highlights; long, black and pin straight with bangs; and recently a sassy stacked bob that’s fiery red. I have been with him through two pregnancies and body changes. He cuts quickly and makes my face look slimmer. I see him faithfully every four weeks for root touch ups and I will be with him for decades!

I was attending some training here in DC for a week from Korea. I needed to get my hair highlighted and cut! I called and was able to get an appt within 24 hours. Issa met me upon walking in and immediately welcomed me. He checked my hair and asked what I was looking to do. We reviewed pictures and he offered a few suggestions. I gave him the go ahead and he started exactly at 6 pm. Issa foiled, highlighted, washed, cut and styled. I walked out at 7:20! I have very long hair… I am happy with everything about this appointment! I will be back in a couple months and I will get my hair done there again! Very reasonably priced!

I was in Arlington for work and was in desperate need of a cut and color. I was able to get a walk in appointment no problem and got a great haircut. Isa just «knew» looking at my hair what style would look good. When I’m in the area again, I would go back!

Our first visit was booked the same day within an hour before our arrival time for my mother to freshen up her look. She had her usual hair split in the middle thin droopy look and she was overdue for a change. She got her hair washed, cut and styled by Isa and it came out fabulous! My money could not have been better spent anywhere else. The location was easy to find, and the salon was not busy mid week which was perfect for having that one on one attention. My mom’s hair is usually really fine, thin and has no volume to it. Today her haircut gave her life, style and volume she never knew she had. I am so happy I brought her here. The price was $ 45 and you are able to leave a tip if you pay with credit if you tell them before they swipe the card. I paid mine with cash because I had it on me. I Loved the service and I would definitely book an appointment for my mom here again! Thank you Isa for being so talented with your scissors!

I have been going to Dazzle salon for a little over a year now and I love it. My friends always ask me where I get my highlights done and a few have now started going to Isa after I recommended checking Dazzle out. I figured it was about time to share the good news on a broader scale to fellow blondes looking for a new salon.
Here are a few reasons why Dazzle gets 5 stars from me:
1. Isa and his wife are incredibly friendly and make you feel right at home. I never feel awkward or pressured to make small talk if am in the mood to read a magazine and zone out. On the other hand, when you are in the mood to chat you will learn Isa is as kind of a person as he is a great stylist.
2. The pricing is great! It was frustrating moving to DC where you can easily drop $ 200 on a highlight and trim so I was extremely happy when I realized Dazzle is affordable without sacrificing quality. I assume it varies depending on length and thickness but the highlights start around $ 100. This includes a blow out (which is oddly something that a lot of salons around here charge you for. even just a rough dry!).
3. There is free parking behind the building.
4. You aren’t pressured to buy products and book your next apt on the spot like a lot of chain salons in the area.
All in all — I’ve had great experiences and would recommend Dazzle to anyone looking for a great salon in Arlington.

My second visit didn’t disappoint, this time Issa was a little busier so I got to see how he handles a crowd. My appointment was started on time. He still took the time to wash my hair himself. Only the blowout was handed off to his assistant as he had someone else waiting. I think I’ve found my new go-​to hair guy.

I came here yesterday upon Unilocal reviews. I was desperate need of a hair cut and since i moved to the U. S i had a very hard time to find someone who can knows how to deal with my hair. My hair is a very thick curly middle eastern hair that is not easy to work with. Luckily i find this place with an awesome prices as well!

I decided to go to Issa (after reading the fabulous reviews here) at the start of the summer. I wanted a highlight and cut — what I always get.
He said he wanted to go lighter with my highlights because it was sunmer. I said ok. My hair is usually brown with blonde highlights. When he was done I thought it looked lighter than usual but just thought it was the lighting.
When I got home I realized how absolutely blonde it was. I hated it!!!
When I tried to style it the next day I realized he had put layers in it. I specifically told him I wanted no layers.
So some people may say go back and get it fixed. However with both things wrong I wasn’t going to take a chance. I went back to my old stylist who is too far away, but at least she listens to me

Update!!! As previously mentioned in my first post, I went back for my 3^rd appointment for highlights and what was originally going to be a trim.
Due to the ever-​changing weather this summer, I ended up wanting to have an easier and more accommodating hair style (my hair was about 4 inches bellow my shoulders). So Issa, after looking at only 1 picture of a short, fun, bob hair style for no more than a mere few seconds, crafted my very thick mane into the most gorgeous, mid 20-​something appropriate bob.
I have always had shorter hair and had only recently grown it out, so I have experienced many different «short» hair styles. He is the only stylist that recognized the thickness of my hair and actually spent a significant amount of time doing something about it (shearing scissors and very subtle layering). I ended up going to dinner with coworkers a few hours after getting my hair done, and I literally received applause when they saw me because they were so impressed with the cut. Almost 5 or so inches were chopped!
Also, my hair is finally back to its normal blonde color and I could not be happier. The blonde highlights are perfect-​subtle and frame my face.
I don’t know how or why Issa is not booked up for months at a time, but he is by FAR the best stylist and colorist I have ever had.

I am new to the area and, after doing some research on-​line, I decided to give this salon a try… and I am very impressed.
Issa is a master of his craft. I have very light blonde hair and I have had a terrible time finding a stylist who can really do what I want with it. Well, he not only perfectly executed my color, he actually improved on it by suggesting a different process. At first I was skeptical because of previous experiences, but Issa KNOWS what he is doing, is deliberate and conscientious, works thoughtfully and gracefully, and the result was even better than what I had hoped for.
I am IN LOVE with this salon. The space was clean, bright, and relaxing. I love the peaceful energy. Will definitely make this my new salon home.

I normally go to the Divine Nails Salon on Glebe Road, which is a little pricey but very fancy, comfortable and all that HOWEVER living in Crystal City I found this spot with a girlfriend and it was awesome!
Inexpensive gel mani and regular manicure pricing is good for a good quality mani/​pedi.
The only (could be major) downfall is there is only one nail technician and two chairs. So my homegirl and I relaxed and chatted while the one technician took turns on our service. We were in no rush and the price was worth it.
TIP: Call ahead and make appointment.

I just moved to DC a few months ago from Boston. I’m 22, just graduated from college & I have always been very picky about who I let touch my hair…
I chose Dazzle Salon because I went on Unilocal from my apartment and it got the best reviews in the area. I must say, I am hooked.
CLEANLINESS:
The inside is very clean (which is important to me). No hairs or mess– they keep it tidy and and there is noticeably always someone sweeping up.
PERFORMANCE:
Again, being a girl who is extremely picky about my hair, I would not have gone back to this salon if my hair didn’t come out PERFECTLY. I told him exactly what I wanted and he exceeded my expectations! I asked for just a trim and to dye it the darkest color possible. After my first appointment, I got compliments all week. He was very attentive to what I wanted and took pride in making me feel good about my hair.
PRODUCTS:
All the products high end; Goldwell or Paul Mitchell which makes a huge difference too.
SERVICE:
Trying a new place can be daunting, especially if you had good chemistry with your previous hair dresser. I felt so comfortable talking to him and I really enjoyed our conversations about travel, music, restaurants etc.
– they are also very flexible with scheduling. I had to rescheduled my last appointment twice and both times they were very accommodating to my needs.
PRICING:
Being from Boston, I think the prices are very reasonable and even a little low for the high quality they provide. I told them I would pay $ 250 in Boston for his services which cost me only $ 120.
OVERALL:
Clearly I am very pleased with this salon. I have already gone back once
for a second appointment and just booked my next one. I have no complaints whatsoever and would recommend this salon to any of my friends or family.
