Don’t let the fact it’s in a convenience store fool you, this place is a little slice of heaven. There’s nothing on their menu that I’ve tasted that wasn’t absolutely delectable. It’s honestly probably the best authentic Mexican food I’ve had. Everything was hot and fresh. Additionally, the staff was extremely friendly and kind. They seemed genuinely happy I was there. They definitely deserve a lot of business and tips! If you haven’t eaten here, you’re missing out. :)

Yes I know it’s in a gas station, in the middle of a residential neighborhood, just before you get to Lake Arlington(off Arkansas Ln, just west of Green Oaks) but the food is good and inexpensive. I ordered the Taco plate(with side of rice and beans) special(1 chicken and 2 beef). Warning the green sauce provided is spicy(but fantastic). Total cost $ 5.45

I would, have given it 5 stars but they messed up our order and they run out of big tortillas to make burritos. However, their beef tacos were delicious!

I was headed to Arlington and decided to stop here based on the reviews. Let me just say the owner and his wife were so nice and that is key to a place is how people treat you. I ordered the tacos(steak) it was good, I am currently pregnant and my taste buds are all over the place, my hubby got the Danny torta he said it was excellent. Definitely will be back. He also let us sample the Monterrey enchiladas it was good.

Don’t be fooled by the fact that this place is in a gas station. The food here is delicious. I’ve been a few times and the last time I brought my wife and her friends(latinas) who also approved of the place. I think she reviewed the place as well. I got some tacos and a torta. I loved every bite of both. Authentic Mexican food at its best. I haven’t found many places like this. So come hungry and eat up. The chips and salsa are also delicious. The salsa is a little bit spicy.

When we got there there were several people waiting in line. Someone came out and offered to bring us some samples. The ceviche tostada was absolutely to die for. Then they brought out chicken with red sauce and pork with green sauce over rice it was unbelievable. The meat was very tender and juicy. Then they brought out a Street taco sampler with pastor, chicken, steak. It was good. the hot sauce is a jalapeño blend and pretty spicy. I would’ve preferred more of a salsa then a sauce but the taste was great. The service was excellent they explained all of the dishes. Will definitely return. The big drawback there’s only a few booths to sit in and it is in the middle of a convenient store so not a lot of ambience in the restaurant

When you just want to thank Unilocal!Omggg this is amazing! Great food. There is absolutely nothing bad to say about this place. Yes, it’s in a gas station, but once you take a bite you’ll forget all about that. We had the enchiladas and tacos. No regrets! I wish they would have had tamales. Can’t wait to try those.

So finally decided to give this taco joint a try. It’s hidden in a residential area before arriving at lake Arlington. It’s of course just like every good taco joint, inside a gas station. Not manly places you can buy minnows and tacos in the same place. The cook was very friendly and allowed me to sample several cuts of meat. The fajita was well seasoned and tender. Chicken average but the salsa made up for it. The menu had a nice variety and the cook said to just tell him what I want and he’ll cook it even if it’s not on the menu. The only compliant I have it not enough meat in each taco. Besides that it was good and will come again.

We decided to give this place a try at the recommendation of a fellow foodie friend. That was several weeks ago. Since then, we have been regulars. If you haven’t been to Danny’s, stop what you’re doing, and go… now… Why are you still reading this? You are missing out! If a light lunch is what you’re looking for, try the ceviche. It is refreshingly tangy and bright. Looking for something a little more substantial? The taco special will treat you right. I recommend the al pastor or chicken. If you are looking for some heat, go for the guisado. It will satisfy the craving. Everything is made fresh, and the prices are amazingly affordable. This place is CRAZY good! Seriously… You’re still reading? Get going! They aren’t open forever. Go NOW!

What can I say about this place? I have been here about 5 times in the last 2 weeks since I found out about it and everything I or my co-workers have tried has been absolutely delicious! Don’t be fooled by it being in a Shell gas station. This is real, authentic Mexican food! The staff is very sweet and accommodating. I can’t wait for them to open a restaurant because this place gets packed! Make sure to get there by 1130 or be prepared to wait. In either case, this place is definitely worth the wait! You will not be disappointed!!!

I tried this place out for the first time last night, it came highly recommend by fellow Unilocalers! I ordered the Monterey enchiladas. Wow they were Spicy!!! First bite I thought«I don’t know if I can handle the spice», but as I continued to eat them the shock of the spice turned into«hey this is pretty good!» I didn’t care for the meat and peppers on the inside of the enchilada, they were really dry. Could have also been a result of us going in so late(after 8:30) and the microwave that was used to warm our plates up. The tortillas they used were pretty awesome, I love when enchilada are cooked with soft corn tortillas! The rice to me had no flavor and was very dry, the beans however compensated in flavor! They have such a unique flavor that i can’t quite put my finger on what it is. I will say mixing the beans with the enchilada sauce was pretty good too! After reading everyone’s reviews, I’d like to go back on a day when Danny himself is there and try something new!

Very good service, polite and very attentive. The food was great and the prices were even better. I will definitely eat here again especially if I am able to keep the same company I had with me today. It was fun relaxing and filling.

Usually I complain about restaurants based on the fact that restaurants usually fail to provide great service and great taste. Danny’s tacos and grill surpassed what I was looking for. The owner Danny spent almost an hour talking to us about every day things. I believe hospitality is one of the greatest things in a excellent restaurant. Danny I want to thank you for an excellent meal and excellent conversation. I give both you and your restaurant five stars. First time I have ever done this. I will be back with friends and family.

Just tried this place for the 1st time today and I was very impressed with how good everything was! We got the 3 taco plate and 3 tamales. The corn tortillas on the tacos were so soft and fresh, I wasn’t crazy for the rice, was kind of sticky and mushy. The tamales made up for that! The tamales were the best I’ve ever had, the Mesa was so soft and delicious, I usually hate the Mesa on regular tamales. These are special tamales called«Nacatamales» usually only made on holidays or special occasions because they’re difficult and time consuming to make. They smell wonderful wrapped in the banana leafs. 5 star for sure! And soo cheap!

First, this place is in a gas station. But, do NOT let that fool you. This place is great authentic Mexican food! Someone’s mom or grandma made our tacos and tamales tonight, and I am a happy man. Don’t forget to ask for the green salsa because it blew my mind. I think I saw my girlfriend licking her plate! Plus, it’s crazy cheap.

This place is my gold standard by how I judge all street tacos/quesadillas. Danny is super cool and very accommodating. First time I saw this place, I went into judging mode about the fact it was in a gas station. Wrong move — amazing food. The pork quesadillas are by far the best thing I’ve had on the menu and for only $ 5 for a giant one plus rice/beans and salsa, you can’t get a better deal. The rice and beans alone deserve their own review for how good they are. I’ve also had their tamales, Mexican beef stew, breakfast burritos(ask for pork breakfast burrito — it isn’t on the menu, but he’ll make it if you ask for it), and whatever random meal Danny is cooking up that day — all are wonderful. I stopped going to fuzzys because of this place. Just be warned, if you go at lunch time, you’ll be waiting a while, this place fills up fast. He also caters and it’s fantastic.

The best tacos in dfw area. Much better than fuel city, don’t go there expecting tex-mex, this place is pure mexican. 1.5 bucks for a taco! The owner is very good and obviously loves his food, always gives me a free sample taco when he creates a new recipe. The torta is pretty kickass too. Fresh ingredients and right of the grill yo!
