This is a nice park. There are two playgrounds; one for older kids. the other for smaller children. Benches and tables are around the perimeter of the playground for those parents that like to sit; you can always keep a good eye on your kid. Swings for big kids are high so you don’t bump your feet to much on the ground. Just enough for a toe kick to get air! Lots of mature trees to provide shade. There is also a well kept basketball court and tennis courts. As well as a good walking or bike trail. Great park! Has 3 entrances.

Place rating: 3 Grand Prairie, TX
This rating is based on the Volleyball and Tennis court alone. I haven’t been on the baseball field to give it a full rating. Volleyball courts: they need to be «tilled». there is soft sand at the top and soft only the first 3 inches or so. after that its hard sand. many people try to convince me its«concrete», WRONG! its sand that has been compressing from the rain and the courts need to be dug up again since there are so many injuries when diving. Tennis Courts: yes, a professional player would never lob the ball out and over the court and over the fence. but when you do slip and hit it out. it will be impossible to find your ball. 3 of 4 sides of the court have trees covering. you can risk walking around the woods to get your ball and get poison ivy’d. also i noticed if you hit the ball with too much power, it can push through the fence and go into the woods… which means the fencing needs to be redone somehow. careful in summertime, all those trees are just shading the homes for all the mosquitoes to feast upon us players.
