Very mediocre food. Food was lukewarm. Potatoes were thick with no flavor. However the Dr Pepper Chocolate cake was awesome. The service was fair. Took way too long to get the entrees and again 5o get the dessert. The hot apple crisp was cold. Over all was a disappointment.

I don’t update my reviews very often, but then again I don’t always good such great service that it warrants an updated review. The food was as good as it always is here but this visit was made even better by our server, Andrea! He was extremely attentive and took great care of us. He is very personable, and really made us feel at home. Thanks, Andrea for such a great experience!

Went in earlier today and I wasn’t too impressed. Our server was okay but the problem was with the food. We found a piece of plastic in one of the dishes and told one if the servers. The manager came over didn’t seem to be bothered by the situation. Though we did tell him it was okay and that it sometimes happens he didn’t seem to want to rectify the situation. I don’t recommend and won’t be back.

I love coming to Cotton Patch for lunch or dinner! It’s good ol’ home cookin and I’m a big fan! I wish the sweet tea was a little more consistent. It’s a hit or miss sometimes and I feel like if you want to be a good down home comfort food kind of place, you should consistently deliver delicious sweet tea! It’s sometimes too watered down or not sweet enough, but when the recipe is right, it’s awesome sweet tea! I’m usually one to try different things on the menu, but I honestly can’t get enough of the pork chops here. It’s a little bit on the salty side, but I like that. The sides I always get are the steamed veggies and the broccoli cheese casserole, and if you love cheese and or broccoli and haven’t tried it, you NEED to. It’s fantastic. It’s ridiculously cheesy rice with pieces of broccoli and I find myself eating it way too quickly every time!!! People who tend to never finish their plate or like to share should look into the items on the menu marked with an asterisk by it. This means that the plate has the option of making it a «right size plate,» which basically means half of the normal order. Great place if you’re craving southern cooking!

First time ever in a Cotton Patch. Came in looking for my next chicken fried steak home destination, as my favorite of several years has fallen way off the mark. Didn’t really have high hopes, as good chicken fry’s are usually grown in smaller, one of a kind hatcheries. Anyway…this one has been here a couple years? Really nice inside, lots of room, and clean on my visit. Seated quick, the wait was quick to the table, got my drink order, then returned for my order. Pretty big menu as well. I couldn’t believe they had bacon cheese fries, so I had to try a small order, and went with the chicken fry, with broc/rice casserole and garlic mashed potatoes. They bring out bread, and while the roll size is huge, they’re kinda airy, not much density. It was good tho. My cheese fries come out, small serving is still pretty big, with real cheese melted on the fries, and it sure looked to me like fresh cooked bacon. The fries were pretty good. Chicken fry hits the table, the broc/rice casserole was very good, the mashed potatoes were fine, but honestly, most any place does decent good mashed pots, so… Thankfully there wasn’t this huge amount of garlic in them, didn’t taste a lot, but enough. The chicken fry was cooked well, breading stayed on, wasn’t falling off all over the place, and the steak quality was pretty tender and good. No over breading where the steak part is much smaller than it looks, and it was a thick enough cut to be fine. Now, the important part… the gravy was pretty good overall. Not to thin or thick, just right. Sadly, while it at least had some seasoning to it, it was very slight. Didn’t require a large dosing of salt and pepper, but it did need it for my tastes. I still think most places do bland gravy as a way to try to keep most of the masses happy. However, it was still pretty good overall. I was happy for the most part, and I will go back at some time to try other things on the menu that looked interesting. I left with a better impression of the place than I thought I would. But still on the hunt for that chicken fry.

I went into this establishment on sunday with a party of 4. I have been here many of times & have been pleased with each visit. This day was different but turned out good. My party’s food arrived & mine didn’t. I was fine with waiting. But once it did arrive the order was wrong and I just gave up and said never mind. My party was almost done and I was just ready to go. A manager by the name of Jessica came over & insisted that I not leave her establishment unhappy & hungry. She went above and beyond the call of duty. Finding great customer service now a days are rare, which is why I took the time to type up this post. I ended up eating my fresh piping hot food there. If your ever there and need a helping hand with service ask for her. Overall great place to eat.

This location is better than Cedar Hill!!! The food was good there but was awesome here!!! Everything was just sooo fresh! The queso was very tasty and different than others… Can’t quite put my finger on it!!! I had the chicken fried chicken which was huge and my friend had the chicken fried steak and it was enormous!!! One of the managers Jessica… By the way who was super nice!!! told us they make their mac & cheese from scratch and she let us try some and daaaamn it was the bomb!!! Definitely coming back for some of that! If your looking for some homestyle cooking this is the place!!! P. S. happy hour 4 – 7 $ 4 margaritas, $ 2 beer pints!!!

Very Disappointed. Where should I start. Ok food, service not good. Restaurant was not too busy either was our waiter. The Cajun Duo was a little too salty. My garden salad was a little frozen. The waiter did not seem to know what steam vegetables were being served with the grilled entrees, and he never came back to check on us or to fill our water and tea glasses. We had to request more rolls twice. I order a limeoncello and he bought me a margarita, lucky a another staff member was on the ball and bought me the correct drink right away, he must had pick up the wrong drink. It seem like he was really not into his job. I will think twice again about this location. Service and food is better at the Cedar Hill location.

This is a classic place. I have got a few to– go orders here. Everything we have tried was alright. Nothing spectacular but everything good. I would come here more often I’m sure if it was a little closer to my house. We have got the Cheese & Bacon fries, those are good. But anything you put bacon and cheese on is a winner in my world.

This place is amazing! Their fried pickles are bomb and also their fish is so perfect. We went here 30 minutes before closing and they still treated us with respect and made us fee welcome. Jazz I believe was her name was impeccable! Definitely would like to see her again. I’m amazed by this place and I will definitely be returning.

We ate at this location tonight for the first time. We have eaten at cotton patches before but this one I wasn’t impressed by. Let me start off by saying we were seated IMMEDIATELY when we walked in and they weren’t that busy. The hostess got us set up with rolls and drinks and said our server would be right with us. ATTHISPOINTCOMMUNICATIONBETWEENTHEHOSTESSANDTHEWAITSTAFFFAILED!!!19MINUTESLATERWEHADTOFLAGDOWN A WAITRESSTOASKIFWEHAD A SERVERYET!!! She politely apologized and began taking care of us. She took our order offered us a free appetizer on her because of the mix up. We got our food and ate. Food was good, service was good. I had a coupon for a free kids meal with an adult entrée purchase. She took the kids meal off the bill. We got charged for the appetizer however. I didn’t say anything. We paid and left. Next time we will stick to the location on 1187 closer to home. We only came here because we were in the area. THETWOSTARSWASFROMTHE19MINUTESOFWAITINGFOR A SERVER. Good home cooking. I had the Sante Fe salad. Very good with avocados and hot peppers! Bill had strawberry pecan salad which he enjoyed. Having dr. Pepper chocolate cake for dessert. It was very good if you have a sweet tooth. Great server named Katie! Freezing cold bathrooms. Bring a sweater!

Food was good as soon as they got it correct. Ordered an avocado burger with no onions and was served — THREETIMES — with onions. The head chief came out and apologized and removed it from the bill, so that was cool. Overall, good atmosphere and really good food.

Typical chain restaurant. I like them but only eat here once in awhile. This is a new store very nice. Near the Highlands on I20 Arlington. The service was very good we had a little wait but was not long. And he had a large group. And this is a very busy location. The food choices is very large they seem to have everything. I had the Cajun shrimp and fish this was very good. My partner had the very large chicken fried steak. Get the smaller portion unless you want to eat a lot. I like Cotton Patch for a change once in awhile.

I came here with Paul H and I agree with the 3 star rating. This place is homestyle cooking with a heavy hand of salt. Everything was a a little salty for me. The portions are very generous for the price which was very reasonable. You won’t break the bank coming here. I came here with my family and was able to sample a little bit of everything. I enjoyed my tilapia but the steamed veggies that came with it looked a little sad. My mom’s salmon wasn’t as good. The portion wasn’t as generous and it was a little dry and salty. The fried catfish and hush puppies were good. The fried chicken was too. I think this place is great if you’re down with something fried. The healthier options weren’t as great and I think they tried to compensate by adding a bunch of salt and seasoning, Overall this place is ok. Nice service. Clean and tidy restaurant. The location is freshly built so it still has that new feeling. Foodwise, if you want something healthy, get the tilapia. If not, go for the fried chicken. It’s a sure thing on the menu.

Décor: 3⁄5 –insanely spacious –the booths comfortably seat six adults Service: 3⁄5 –I find it amusing of the connection between the restaurant name, the workers and the type of food offered –Service was fairly good and attentive Food: 3⁄5 –Bacon cheese fries(7.49) came in a generous portion but the bacon made the fries salty –Grilled Pork Chops(12.49) came with cinnamon apple and two sides of choice. I went with mac n cheese and Green beans. The mac n cheese and green beans were like the ones served in middle school — bleh. The pork chops was also a tad too salty for my liking –the tilapia however was a better choice. Not salty and generous portions. –Chicken fried chicken was crispy, juicy and tasty but not the healthiest choice. Curiosity made me come here but I def won’t be back.
