The worst thing to happen to terminal A. Your dining options are now reduced to overpriced candy bars, chips, and jerky. Or doughnuts. All great dining options, right? Oh, and I almost forgot the best part… Once you pick out the overpriced items you want to buy, you get to be your own cashier. Awesome huh?

So… they’ve gone automated in terminal A. While that should be a good thing, when the machines don’t work properly or you need an assistant to type in a code to finish the process — good effing luck! Once I finally did get someone, this was after screaming«excuse me, ma’am, lady that works here» at the two closest employees for five minutes, one of them did walk over… and helped someone else. But at least she moved closer to me, so I was able to get her attention. At which point she entered in the store code and tried to grab my credit card out of my hand. I told her I did not need her assistance to use my card. She told me I was paying for three items when I only had two. In fact, the three prices she saw were the price of my water, the price of my fountain drink, and the total. If this company is going to use an automated machine with assistance, at least train them — and make sure they actually assist instead of stand around and then get all grabby with the payment. #imsurethisisprogressforsomeone

I grabbed a muffin for my flight and it came with a surprise… almost 5 $ for a multigrain muffin with mold. Horrible horrible

Best option for grab & go in terminal A. Better idea would be to eat before coming through security. This part of DCA still charges insane airport price. That said, the wraps are decent and they have a reasonable drink and munchies selection.

I chose this place for my quick lunch before catching a flight today. Mixed feelings after finishing eating the turkey sandwich, mix fruits and a vanilla soy milk. The turkey sandwich was $ 10! The total cost with tax was as much as $ 19.77! The sandwich was pretty good with multi-grain bread but charging $ 9.99 for that is a sin to me. Potbelly and even Subway sandwiches are less than half their price and taste better. Cibo Express is really Cibo Expensive.
