Specialties
Wedding, Event, and Sports Photography by Chase McAlpine. I cover the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area, but am happy to travel to any location.
Is there a story you would like to tell? I ask this question because pictures are more than just still images: they capture moments in time that tell stories. Whether those stories are humorous, solemn, momentous, or just plain unusual, I continuously strive to portray them accurately with each click of my camera. And although I specialize in weddings, sports, and photojournalism, my interests in landscape and wildlife photography have been consistently nurtured as well. So whether it’s capturing a couple about to make their wedding vows, a football team celebrating their winning touchdown, or indigenous species wandering throughout snow-covered woods, my camera and I are always ready to seamlessly capture life in action with honesty, clarity, and vividness.

Chase M.
Business Owner
Originally from New Orleans, I became involved in photography while still in high school and «clicked» with it almost immediately. I continued to pursue it in college, where I was lead photographer for the university’s yearbook and student newspaper. My work has appeared in many publications, including the Washington Examiner, Inside the Vatican, the Times-Picayune, and Hammond Star. I have also won a number of awards and recognitions for my work, most notably as a finalist in Photographer’s Forum’s Annual Photography Contest. In addition to my freelance photography, I am owner and lead photographer for WDC Buzz, an online photojournalism magazine that covers events in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.
