Central Park ENT

Do you enjoy having to leave a message and then hoping you get a call back to schedule an appointment? If so, this is the place for you. I came to this office for several years without any complaints and then sometime early 2014 things in the office changed. Frequently I would have to leave a message to make an appointment only to wait for hours and sometimes days before I could get anyone to help me.
The doctor I was seeing quit or retired between my appointment and follow up appointment (a 3 week time period). The front office staff had no idea what to say about his sudden departure so I took my doctor reassignment and figured all would be well. After two visits the new doctor said he couldn’t help me and sent me away with some business cards for a specialist.
I schedule my appointment with the specialist and then call Central Park to find out how to send over my records. Easy I was told, fill out the form on the website and get it back to us. Sounds easy, right?
I fill out the form but there are no instructions on how to get it back to them. I call, no answer. Call again. Nobody is available. Figure I will hand deliver the paper to the office. Hand it over and I am told it will be handled that day. I don’t think to call the specialist I am going to for verification records were sent so I go in and the doctor says he doesn’t have my records but the nurse is calling and seeing what she can do. He advised he would call me back in a few days once he had everything together and we could discuss the issue over the phone since I live an hour away from his office.
I wait a week and call the specialist to find that my records were not sent over. I call Central Park and surprise, leave a voicemail. I call a few hours later and still nobody available to take my call. I end up emailing the office via their contact us form on the site and within an hour someone emails me back. I finally get that person on the phone to find that my records were never sent and the form I left at the office with my personal information is nowhere to be found.
I am eventually connected with the person who handles the records and she acts like its not a big deal with this wasn’t handled properly. The form has to be somewhere but who knows where that could be weeks after I dropped it off. Is it a big deal to Central Park that my treatment that they couldn’t handle is being held up because the office staff can’t do their jobs? No, they don’t seem to think so.
I had an in office procedure done in the summer of 2014 and the billing was not accurate on that either. A mistake that could have cost me hundreds more than they quoted me when they verified my benefits.
If you don’t mind waiting around for your appointment or having to leave messages (don’t even bother to leave a message because rarely will you get a call back) this practice might work well for you. If you have high standards for treatment and general customer service I suggest you keep looking for another practice because this office will fail you many times over.

I would not recommend Dr. Thomas Stewart. He presents like he does not really care if he gets a correct diagnosis or not, just sticks a diagnosis on you and cuts you off if you try to explain symptoms.
When I called office for an appointment they insisted I have a hearing test, even if I did not need or want one. As I thought, hearing was the same as it has been for decades and hearing was not my complaint, infections were. More to charge insurance for.
Dr. Thomas diagnosed it as something so ridiculous that I could have googled it and got a better and more accurate answer to the problem.
I did a follow up with another doctor and was correctly diagnosed and given appropriate medication. The visit to Dr. Stewart was a waste of my time and money.

STAY AWAY… My wife went in because her left ear felt a little stopped up and she wanted them to clean the wax out. We saw Dr Tyler Scoresby because her normal doctor (Dr William Briggs) was not available. When he got started, he cleaned out her left ear just fine and then said while I am here, let me go ahead and look at the right ear. While removing the wax from the right ear, he seemed to have some trouble. He ended up poking a hold in my wife’s eardrum. What came next was the more troubling part… he said it will be fine and be back to normal within a few months. My wife was in pain and said she felt like she was going to faint. He said to lay down and then he left the room. His nurse came in a few minutes later with a glass of water… never saw the doctor again. His bedside manner was terrible and I am now dealing with the cost of medicine, possible surgery if it does not heal and a wife that is having a hard time sleeping and is still (after two weeks) in pain. That night we called their office and the doctor-​on-​call (Dr Briggs (her normal doctor)) called her back and was very cold and talked to us like he was covering his firm’s backside. He refused to see my wife saying that she would have to see Dr Scorseby again since he was her new doctor… Dr Briggs was her doctor but could not see her so HIS office assigned us to Dr Scoresby.
It is one thing to make a mistake, it is what you do to fix or «make it right» that defines you. This office obviously has plenty of business and does not care about its patients.

My 82 year old mom had appointment with Dr. Stuart N. Thomas this morning. I filled out medical forms on line and arrived 15 minutes before appointment time. They asked for insurance cards and picture ID. My mom lost her a few months back, and since then has been to 2 new doctors and has had Cancer surgery and been to Radiology and Associates — some places have used my driver’s license or just said ‘ok’. Central Park refused to see her this morning without a card. My mom has an issue that needs attention and we waited two weeks for appointment because Dr. Stuart is only in office 3 days a week, only to be turned away without a smile and from not friendly office staff. We were never informed of this strict restriction. I could not believe their attitude or business practice. I will be finding a new ENT to take her to and will not return to this doctor or office!
