Brigham Square

I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Brigham Square. I must say Kate went out of her way to make sure I saw all available apartments and she really listened to what my needs were. The maintenance staff here is really exceptional. They catch things very quickly and have them repaired or replaced before anyone has to call. One day 1 of the guys helped me bring some heavy items to my car. You don’t see that very often. The office is very attentive to making Brigham Sq a real friendly neighborhood spot. They plan lots of activities and try to get everyone involved. The buildings and outside areas are alway very clean.
I highly recommend Brigham Square!

This is by far the cleanest and best-​managed apartment we’ve lived in (and between the two of us, we’ve lived in a lot of places!). The facilities are always sparkling and the friendly staff clearly takes a lot of pride in their work. Both the maintenance staff and management are very quick to respond to any question and concern, and the few (minor) maintenance issues I’ve had have been resolved within a matter of hours. The front office staff are great about handling packages, too.
Yes, the rent at Brigham Square is a little more than in a private house, but this is clearly a case of getting what you pay for. In addition to modern appliances, open floor plans, and in-​unit laundry, you also get fantastic common facilities (fitness center, lounge with free coffee, garage) in a location that can’t be beat. The buildings are steps from the bike path and just a short walk to all Arlington Center has to offer. We like visiting Robbins Library for all the family activities, and we love being able to stroll over to Mass Ave for a variety of dining options. Our favorites are Tryst (for date night) and Pasha Mediterranean (more casual dining, family friendly). Whole Foods is just two blocks away, which has been a lifesaver for us and has saved us a lot on takeout bills (we can run over there and get a better, cheaper meal in less time than it takes for takeout to arrive).
We’ve been house-​hunting for years but have struggled to find something in this seller’s market. We’re thankful to have landed in a place that we can enjoy for the foreseeable future.

This is a great place to live! We lived here for a year and the only reason we moved was because we bought a house. The apartments are great — we didn’t have one maintenance problem the entire time. The amenities are nice as well — the gym is small but has the basics, they have a grilling station residents can use anytime, they have covered and uncovered parking, and they even have a little dog trail for those with pets. The location is super convenient as well — steps away from the bike path and Arlington center. There isn’t a whole lot of storage in the units, but you can purchase storage in hallway units if you need more space.
The people (Kate and Don) are also great. They’re always very responsive and incredibly helpful. They care about their residents and take the time to organize special resident events (BBQ’s, pizza nights, etc.). Would recommend to anyone looking in the area!

Recently came here to take a tour and check out some apartment units.
The complex itself is tricky to find and signage was bad (i.e., pointing in the opposite direction) so we had to circle the area a few times. During the tour, we also noticed it was very pet friendly (I saw three dogs while there).
Several of the units we were shown smelled funky. One of the units (currently empty and not the model unit), smelled particularly off, and the tour person explained they had used this unit for a community spaghetti dinner for the Boston Marathon. There were dirty pots with bits of pasta and bowls with crusted tomato sauce still in the sink; clearly the dirty dishes had been sitting in the sink for about a week since the Marathon and no one had bothered to clean even though the unit was being shown. Gross.
Most units seemed to have a lackluster view of the surrounding parking lots. Construction of kitchen cabinets and the island had a very Ikea feel; seemed to be made of particle board and not all drawers lined up symmetrically. Some of it just felt rough (i.e. fraying particle board on the underside of the kitchen cabinets). I believe the tour person mentioned the floors were made of vinyl material.
The rental pricing seemed a bit high for the quality of the complex. I think if pricing were lower it would be a bargain, but these are definitely not luxury apartments.
By the way, the agent forgot to return our drivers licenses. Even though we had appointments elsewhere later in the afternoon, we were unable to tour the buildings without our IDs, so we had to drive back to Arlington to retrieve our licenses. I know it was an honest mistake but it seemed like a rookie move, prevented us from touring another building, and cost us about 45 minutes to make the roundtrip back across town.

Highly recommended housing in Arlington. We have been here since April 13. Management office is very helpful and accomodating. All the issues including slow plumbingn was fixed within 24 hours. Stop and Shop, CVS, Whole Foods are within ten min walk. Bus station is in five min. Arlington center is less than ten minutes. Bike path is in 20 steps. Entertainment place through out the building including beautiful roof top patio and courtyard BBQ.

This place is great. Great location. The management team is great too.
