I’ve only ordered from here twice and both times my order was delivered late. The food wasn’t that bad, but not that great either. It’s actually a bit bland compared to most chains I’ve been to. I’ll definitely note that the portion sizes were decent. The minimum delivery is pricey, but you get your moneys worth in food. Whether that food is edible or not depends on the driver. With this last order, the driver could not find my apartment, which happens from time to time and the drivers usually find me pretty quick. To make a long story short, it was a struggle to give this driver directions and(even after he had successfully parked for 5 minutes) I had to meet him behind the building because he was still so hopelessly lost. At that point it had been about 30 minutes since his first call. My food was cold, soggy and I had to throw half of it away. Even if I wanted to settle for mediocre Mexican food, there are easily better options for me within walking distance. The only benefit of this place is that they deliver, which is far to expensive and unreliable to count on. I’ll be avoiding them from now on.

I tried to order from Baja Fresh’s delivery tonight and it took over two hours for the delivery man to get to my address and I live less than two miles away. After the first 30 minutes when by, I called every 20 minutes to check on my order. They told me that my order was with the delivery man and on its way each time. At my final call, I finally asked for a refund but I still wanted my order because I had waited so long for it. Unfortunately, the manager told me the order will be cancelled because the driver could not get to me!!! I will never order from them again! Ever!

Lovely Staff and sparkling clean at 7:45PM on a rainy Monday. Virtually empty too. The food at this chain is horrifically bad. How can you claim to be all fresh with no lard etc and turn out such miserably depressing food? What a shame. I had a baja bowl that was just like cardboard. Even the free chips tasted like paste. This chain needs a makeover. I ha e tried a few locations and the food sucks universally at all of them. Maybe a little lard might not hurt guys-you need something.

I came here on a Friday afternoon wanting something remotely healthy to tie me over. Even though Whole Foods was right there, I am not as impressed with their salad bar the way I used to be… but that’s a whole other topic. I recall I used to be a huge fan of Baja, so I decided to get a chicken salad. The salad was decent, however I I wanted more veggies besides romaine lettuce, grilled onions, green peppers and tomatoes. That’s the extent of their veggies. So, I basically had grilled chicken on a bed of lettuce. Everything was fresh, good flavor, polite and courteous service. I would have given 3 stars if they had more veggies.

Quick food, ok prices. I’d give it 3 stars if the manager did NOT constantly smoke at/near the outdoor seating tables meant for customers.

After eating here the only reason I would go to a chipotle is if there is no Baja Fresh near by. What a great product and atmosphere. I got carnitas taco and a Baja chicken salad. Both were very good and the salad was huge. When you add in chips and 6 different salsa to choose from on the salas bar this place becomes makes for a better option than chipotle.

Stayed in Arlington for a few days and ended up getting a taco from here every single day. Absolutely delicious, quick, and different from a typical Mexican food joint(which I love, but it’s nice to mix things up). Try this place and you’ll love it!

I love the food but this is the last time I will ever order from Baja Fresh. It took my order just under two hours to get to my house 1.1 miles away. Cold, soggy, wet, disgusting. i ordered on GrubHub for delivery. This was the 6th time I ordered in two weeks. Every time they forgot the cilantro and other side orders(salsa, pico de gallo) that I requested. This last time, waiting for my food for two hours was the last time I will solicit this establishment. Completely pissed off and still hungry.

Baja Fresh is a great place to eat when you want something quick, healthy and tasty! I have been here quite a few times. Usually I have a coupon downloaded from Facebook or a coupon website. $ 5 off if you spend $ 15 or $ 2 off if you spend $ 10. That’s a good deal. $ 15 can easily fill two people(you’re only paying $ 10). These coupons are very easy to find online. My best friend and i have been here quite often. I usually get the same thing(Grilled Veggie Burrito) lol… she tends to try different things, but it seems, she prefers the wahoo tacos. They have a nice salsa bar featuring 6 different items. Your meal comes with free chips. Unfortunately not much options for deserts, i think all they have is churros. Regardless, it’s one of my favorite places to eat, i need to go here more often than i do. Maybe next time i’ll actually try a different item on the menu.

This place is pretty meh — minus the awesome salsa bar!!! I am not afraid to take full advantage of unlimited salsa, and the staff here does an excellent job topping the salsa up. During my short dinner here on a sunday night, I truly witnessed some serious salsa consumption from the other diners in the restaurant… apparently I’m not the only one who goes a little overboard here. For best bang for your buck get a salad(HUGE) and avoid the blah rice bowls… which really cannot compete with Chipotle. Also this location will give you free chips!(The DC location will charge you extra). Taste-wise the food is just mediocre unless you hook it up with salsa but since I’m a sucker for a coupon I’d come back to use the $ 2.00 off coupon on my receipt :)

I love Baja Fresh! I don’t eat here as much as I would like to. Or as much as I should. I should probably work on that. Too bad it wasn’t listed in the self-help book I was reading. What I like about Baja fresh there is always awesome coupons. Either check your junk mail or the back of of a receipts from Giant. The coupons are usually spend $ 6.00 get $ 2.00 off or spend $ 15.00 get $ 5.00(so your meal ends up being $ 10) This is awesome if you are on a budget or have kiddos. * Cough cough * College students remember these words of knowledge I’m dropping on you. Whats more awesome than getting a low-carb super yummy nutritious meal for like $ 10.00? Okay all super Scrooge comments aside this establishment is pretty clean. Even though it’s on street-level I’ve never seen a single Cucaracha or chupacabra. There is a patio seating with umbrellas outside for those who like to dine alfresco. Sorry but I love to eat and people watch on the DL. The inside of the restaurant is family-friendly. There are ample booster seats for your kiddos. So take note of that Mom’s and Pop. I’ve never ventured into the bathroom so I’m not sure if there is a changing table or not. I really need to scope that out. Oh you probably want to hear about the food I forgot. I swear parenthood induces ADD. They have the usual Tex-Mex fair that’s always changing. Barito’s the size of a small baby. For the carnivores I’ve noticed chicken, beef, fish and shrimp. If your veggie they can also accommodate you. They have a «fixins bar». The«fixin’s bar» includes about six different types of salsa. Ranging from: sweet mango, mild medium, hot, and you’ll regret it later. There is also ample cilantro and jalapeños. It’s all kept cool on ice. Also, you get free chips with every meal. The desserts are kind of lacking. I believe they only have churros. What it be too much to throw some flan or fried ice cream in the mix? Pretty please?

I am not sure why this place has such low stars. It is better than average Mexican fast food at good prices. Salsas aren’t hot(any of them) but they have good flavor. Baja Bowls are thick. The bowl seems small, but it is very dense and fills you up. The salads are huge. The chicken itself wasn’t overly flavorful, but the salsas and dressings solve that problem. Tips: Get the plastic cups with a straw and get 99 cent refills. The cup is normally around $ 2.50 so it is definitely a good deal if you plan on returning and can carry the cup back with you. Outdoor area is no frills, but spacious and great for people watching.

I order delivery everytime, and they always have my order here beore the estimated time, with the correct order. The staff is friendly, and the food is great for a not so awful price. The Tacos are one of the best things on the menu, I would reccomend those!

Cheap and pretty delicious food. Back in the South, we have Taco Cabana, so it’s pretty much a northeast version of that food chain. I feel like their ingredients are pretty fresh. The first time I ordered the park carnitas bowl, but didn’t care for it. It was really watery, but came back to read reviews and decided to come back. I ordered the shrimp bowl this time and thought it was pretty good and smelled delicious. Still, a problem with the wateriness of my bowl which is kind of gross, but the flavors were good and tasted fresh. I love their salsa bar! The staff is really friendly and were efficient the both times I went, so I guess they’ve been reading these Unilocal reviews. If you’re looking for a cheap, decent place to grab a quick bite, Baja Fresh isn’t a bad option. Nowhere close to authentic flavors in my opinion, but pretty acceptable.

Baja Fresh Clarendon location has always got it right upon my visits, order by phone for pickups. I can be sure they will have mistakes but I have not had any issue what so ever with the Clarendon location! I see review written here and people need to make sure they are on the right location. Clarendon has the very best food of all of the Baja Fresh in VA, DC and MD. Ive tried them all, I use them for catering when I have large business luncheons. They have come through with flying colors! FYI they will deliver catering event at no additional charge! Keep up the good work! God Bless Jeri

1. This place is always super friendly. Staff is really nice, so it’s always a pleasure to come here. 2. The serve-yourself salsa bar means you can really fill up. 3. It’s cheap. I’m always armed with 2-dollar or 5-dollar coupon, which come in the mail or on the back of every receipt from Giant. 4. Grilled shrimp is yum.

My overall impression of this place was good. The food and service were good. The place was clean and location convenient. I like fish taco’s which is why I come here. I like the salsa bar which provides a range of sauces from mild to spicy. Nov 2014 Update: Had to update and drop it down one star. They went overboard on the«healthy» department. They took away the La Crema sauce for the fish tacos. Instead they have some spicy or basil crap that just takes away from the taste. Oh well, I’ll just wait for Rubios to come to the East Coast. I haven’t been back since.

Great grilled shrimp burrito with fresh ingredients. Had not been there for sometime but decided to try it today. A bit on the pricey side for a burrito compared to Chipotle but maybe because of the seafood.

I just gave the other local mexican place, Lime, a bad review for not having a quality experience due to odd culinary choices by the chefs. Baja Fresh isn’t gourmet by far, but they offer decent mexican salads that have actual full leaves. I shouldn’t be that picky and who would’ve thought I would be complaining about salads, but Lime really has terrible salads that Baja Fresh seems so much better. Baja Fresh has complimentary tortilla chips and a good salsa station(not as good as Lime’s though). Service is good enough and has outdoor seating on the corner of the street.
