The locally owned Arlington Pharmacy is certainly where I’d prefer to have my prescriptions filled. However, because their hours are not 24⁄7 I am stuck with Rite Aid, down on Smokey Point Blvd. I’m thinking I’ll transfer my auto refill prescriptions to Arlington, and use the conglomerate Wrong Aid for emergencies only! Arlington Pharmacy is everything you could dream up for a small business model: friendly employees, spot-on service in a lovely environment! The store is like a giant Hallmark with cards and unique gifts you can’t find elsewhere. Adding to the pleasurable atmosphere, is the quaint little coffee shop adjacent the pharmacy with ample seating. If waiting for a prescription is inevitable, one can sit back and relax for a spell. Arlington Pharmacy provides truly a luxurious shopping experience!

I love to support local businesses when I can. The Arlington Pharmacy is the best around, with a multitude of services available. They can get very busy, so it would behoove you to either phone in refills or request them online. The website does have some hiccups at times, but there is a workaround I’ve found. For H.L.W., who has all the complaints — she should have brought them up with the manager. I’ve had issues before, but they were resolved quickly and professionally. Best practice when refilling via phone or online is to call and ensure your script is ready for pick-up.

Oh. . where to start…sorry for the length of this. . We used this pharmacy for about four years or so. .. then the last year or so, things really went downhill. My husband would stop in to pick up prescriptions and they had no idea they were called in(I gave up on the online refill — it was hit and miss). This happened about four times — and I had called in on their refill line. Then we switched insurances — my husband would stop in and NO refills ready. They said something about insurance — needed his card(after already giving them a copy). .. he stopped in THREE times and no refill — I called and they said they needed his card again! He ended up dropping off his card(so they could make a copy) FOUR times. I called again — now they said that their computer ‘didn’t recognize’(??!) the insurance?(oh — and they had called his THREE other previous insurances trying to get them to pay!!) This went on for two weeks! I asked them why didn’t they simply call me and she chastised me, saying that they see ‘400 people’ a day — they have NO time to call’(but apparently all the time in the world to bill various invalid insurance companies). The FINAL straw came when I went to refill my on-going rx — I called it in on the refill line and again — my poor husband stopped to pick it up on his way home from work and surprise! NO rx. So I called them the next day and the girl that answered said she didn’t know why it wasn’t filled — and they would fill it. I don’t even know what to say as to what happened next. I gave it a few days and yet AGAIN — my husband stopped in — you guessed it — no rx. This went on a few more WEEKS(I’m not kidding — I would call — they would say the same thing — it would ‘be taken care of’). I called the next day to get this straightened out once and for all. Do you know what the actual problem was? My particular rx wasn’t available in capsule form! They couldn’t let me know this at the beginning? And here’s the BEST part: I asked her what I what I could do about this she told me to, ‘keep on doing what you’ve been doing — keep calling’ WHAT?!! I’ve had already been trying to get a refill for over two weeks! That was IT. I dumped them the same day. I called Haggen Pharmacy in town and they didn’t have the capsule form of my rx but got them in the SAMEDAY. Haggen Pharmacy has been outstanding in their customer service. I’ve had phone calls from them when they’ve had questions and they even have an automated call system that lets you know your rx is ready for pick up. Give Haggen Pharmacy a try — you won’t be disappointed. They might not have 400 customers a day — but the ones they do have receive individual attention and care.

What a resource in this town! I am absolutely thrilled with the fact that the Arlington Pharmacy has a 10 min. walk-in medical clinic, is a Compounding Pharmacy AND provides customer service like we used to get in the small-town local drug store. What skilled professionals with a smart and soft touch. I could not be happier! I highly recommend the Arlington Pharmacy in Arlington City.

Best service you can ask for. I would never support Walgreens, RiteAid, SavOn when local business like this company exist. Service has been impeccable. They even treated a Husky alumn like myself with care and affection. Even tho they’re mostly WSU alumns. ;-)
