Windows Plus Inc.

Is this business still open? Voicemail only works every few times I call. No one returns my calls. I had used their service in 2011 and want them to come out and fix a faulty window.

They must have seen my review because they called back and now all of a sudden our windows will be in next week.

We did half of our windows with windows plus Inc. we had our windows installed and couldn’t be more pleased from beginning to end the Service was fantastic. We noticed a big difference immediately after the windows were installed. My husband and I don’t hear as much noise and do not feel any more drafts and the most amazing thing is we can operate our windows! The installers were very courteous and did a very efficient job in a short period of time cleaned up all debris and such. We will be doing the remaining windows next year and definitely going back to use windows plus to finish our whole house.

We purchased new windows for our entire house. We had old original windows. I cannot say enough good things about this company. They have competitive pricing and great customer service. We did our windows in two rounds and after just the first, our heating bills went down 20%. I can’t wait to see what they look like next winter and even this summer with the air conditioning. The installation is incredibly non-intrusive…and that is coming from someone who had a 3 week old son in the house during installation. We will be going back to replace our doors, shutters and gutters eventually. We are very happy with the results!!!

Wow, it gets worse. Since we signed up with the company we eventually had the the windows we ordered put in. Ken is is the most incompetent manager I have ever seen. Not only did he lie to me. The order was wrong and we have a window installed that is not what we ordered. It opens on the wrong side. Do not use this company!!!
Ken, the manager, stated that they are unable to accommodate my work hours and do an installation on a Saturday. When they were unable to complete the job on Friday, guess what, the crew came back on Saturday. In fact, they had to move another job they had scheduled for that Saturday.
We had ordered a window that opened on the left side and we currently have a window that opens on the right side. We had logged a complaint with no call back or effort on Ken or his company’s part to fix the issue.
Again, do not use this company!!!

Let me preface by saying we did not end up choosing Windows Plus for any of the services we needed. However, we had a bad experience with the Sales Rep who came out to help us.
1) We made the appt. at a local farm fest. We scheduled the date/​time, but then got a call a few days from then asking to make an appt. because they apparently don’t communicate between departments. We made that second appt. and then they called back again and said forget it, stick with the first one. When the guy finally came, he didn’t know anything about how we had heard about Windows Plus or who we spoke to.
2) We put our name in a raffle at the Fest and apparently «won» a free energy assessment («a $ 250 value»). Over the phone, the lady said they would do it when the Sales Rep came but he never even brought it up. Plus, they made it seem like we «won» a $ 200 raffle when in reality that is just a discount they give ever fest referral.
3) It was obvious that the Sales Rep didn’t sell a lot of doors. He brought in a couple of brand new catalogs that had never been opened and struggled to find basic answers to our questions as he flipped through the pages. He also had a software from one of the door companies on his laptop but he kept saying how they «recently upgraded the software» and so he no longer knew how to work it. I coached him in what buttons to press and how to save the final report to PDF.
4) When we asked him for an estimate on a similar door package from another door manufacturer they sell, he opened up a giant Excel spreadsheet and looked through it for 10 minutes. I tried suggesting that he do a CNTRL + F or some other means to find the door we wanted but he said he knew. After a while, he couldn’t find it and said he would get back to us.
5) Throughout the whole process, he kept saying how he forgot to bring «his bag» which apparently had all the roof samples and color samples. I told him at the end that I wouldn’t feel comfortable spending $ 4k on doors where we can’t even see the colors. I asked if he could bring that by later or do something to let us see the colors and quality before we spend that kind of money. He changed the subject to what we could do to fix our siding. It was almost funny.
So we did not choose them for these reasons, and I would expect that you will see similar issues if you choose WIndows Plus.
