It is very difficult to give a business a one star review, but a combination of two factors makes my interaction with Suburban a one star experience. I will say, they were courteous on the phone and the two installers were nice people. I had two existing mirrors I needed cut for a hall bath. The price was $ 150 at my location. When they arrived I agreed to $ 267 to have them reinstall, figuring two pro’s will have no problem and well worth the money. Until they cut the first mirror drastically off. This after having used a laser to measure. One side was cut short over an inch. The other about ½ inch. It was on the wall with adhesive when they asked me how I would like to proceed. I chose to add trim to cover the gap(this was at my expense and time/labor). They cut the next piece to accommodate this resolution. They provided no materials and botched the job. After one installer called the shop to tell of their mistake, a whole $ 17 dollars came off the bill. They said I was already receiving a discount. Really?!? Botched job and still demanded a full tilt pay-out. That is a one star company.

I can not say enough about the quality of work and the ownership. I’ll start with the work done. Office: I needed a large mirror and had been looking all over trying to find a 10 foot by 8 foot mirror for my office. I called and they said not only do they keep it in stock but they also can install it the same day. I tell them that I want it on a main wall but the wall covers an electrical outlet. They send out an electrician(for free… who does that anymore!!) and they decided instead of covering it up, they would cut out the an area for the outlet and place a separate mirrored piece on top of it. That way if there is any problem I can still have access to the outlet. Keeps it looking good and safe. Exteremly impressed and very happy with the mirror. Oh yeah, they came on NYE. Didn’t even know places were open on that day. Personal: I was surprised to learn that they also do upholstery. I have a pretty old table that worked good but was worn from the past 20+ years of use. I asked them if they could do and they had it done in less than 48 hours. Everyone had given me high remarks o the table. I think they did great and everyone else thinks so as well. Ownership: Can you really beat an old fashioned business that is family ran and you know a handshake can close a deal. The owners are very friendly and there customer service is excellent. I just moved to the area and if I know that if I ever am in need of glass or trim work I know who to call. Final verdict: Recommended for everyone.
