Misano Salon & Spa Ltd

I have been coming to this salon for years. I referred my whole family to my stylist. Last week I went for my usual highlights and cut. After sitting in the chair with my foils my stylist informs me that there is no water to rinse me. I said «ok???» She said that the «landlord» shut off their water without telling them and they had to go to 7 – 11 to buy gallons of water to rinse their clients. I know. It gets worse. They claimed that it JUST HAPPENED yet the gallons were already by the shampoo area. So they could have informed me before my appointment but didn’t. Or else I wouldn’t have driven 45 minutes out of my way. So I was washed three times with cold water, hot water, a mix of both to get it to warm. Another person had to cover my face because pouring water from a gallon would result in the water going all over me.
When I go to pay I was charged full price. $ 145 + tip. An apology along with a coupon to return for a free blowout was all I got. A FREE BLOWOUT. I was expected to swoon at their generosity. Because it was out of their control. Not like the city shut off the water because they didn’t pay their bill. The LANDLORD just decided to shut it down. For no reason. On a Wednesday night. But HEY I GET TO DRIVE 45 MINUTES FOR A FREE BLOWOUT.
After my friends and family basically called me an idiot for even paying a dime, and my reluctance to start an argument at 9:30 pm after a long day, I called and spoke to the manager the next day. I said a free blowout is not an acceptable consolation for what went down. All she kept saying was «we didn’t do it on purpose, it was out of our control.»
I received a Facebook message from my stylist the following morning. Apparently, I am not allowed to complain that they had no water! It was NOT THAT BIG A DEAL. I am overreacting. Here is the conversation, word for word, copied & pasted.
STYLIST: So I was informed that you called the salon because you are upset

Today was my first visit and it will not be my last. They were able to get me in last minute as I requested and even though Amanda’s shift was ending there was no rush. She was very helpful in picking a hair style when I was indecisive.
This place has 2 $$ but I did not feel that it was unreasonably priced. Quite the opposite really.
Good ambiance and stylish atmosphere. I would recommend it.
