This place has gone downhill and it is not cheap. Food selection was limited and quality was poor and cold. The Mongolian grill part was average. There are better Chinese buffets in the northwest suburbs. Will not return.

One of the worst buffets I ever had. Half the stuff is cold, and the other half is bland. The place is nasty, and way over priced for what they offer.

I took my son here for lunch today. It was at 11:30 am so i figured it should be pretty fresh. I pay the money and was told to find my own seat which is no big deal. Most chinese buffets are not that great so i didnt expect great food. we got our food and nothing that we got tasted good at all. the talapia i got was so bad i spit it in a napkin. My son didnt even like the wonton soup. I went to the woman at the front and told her we didnt think the food was good. she cam e to out table and told me that there was alot of people there so their food must be good. well they have a senior discount for lunch and yes the place was full of elderly people. she accused me of trying chinese food for the first time and that i just dont like chinese food. i explained that i have had chinese food thousands of times. this old chinese man came to the table and started yelling at me. he told me that i should not touch the food. that if i dont like chinese food that i shouldnt touch it. it was very crazy. my son was embarrassed because they old guy was yelling at is in front of everyone. we got up to leave then the woman from the front gave me half of my money back. very rude people if you let them know you dont like their food.

Came here around 730pm and they close at nine. I was expecting that they should have decent amount of food still or was hoping they will come out with more food since it was only 730 and some people are still coming in the restaurant but me and my boyfriend got nothing we were left to eat left over foods and food was not even that good nor decent but okay if you really hungry. Though, they have one cook that was really nice and made us fresh steaks and chicken with noodles twice without a complain and he just kept smiling which we really appreciate it. Overall I don’t think we are coming back to this place… I did not like anything here at all ad I feel that I wasted my money…

Food was not fresh and was cold. Very disappointed. I would not recommend going to this Buffett. A total waste of 19.00 bucks.

It was ok. Not a big selection and most of the food was barely warm. Agree that they use a lot of salt in the dishes. Most pans had small amounts of food and wasn’t replenished routinely. On a Friday nite they only had one guy clearing dishes for the whole place. No servers so you have to get everything on your own… drinks, silverware, etc. This is not someplace I will cone back to. My husband did like the kimchi as mentioned in another post.

Worst buffet I’ve ever had. Very few choices, terrible sushi, out of the good stuff, and slow to refresh. Food was cold and extremely low grade. If you do go to this dump, stick to the Mongolian BBQ, it’s the only redeeming thing there…

This place is a guilty pleasure to me. I come here with my brothers frequently when we are all in town, and always eat until I’m stuffed. That being said, the food is OK quality at best, and one time there were tiny flies hovering around the salad bar. My favorite thing there is actually the egg drop soup, but if you’re looking for something a little fresher out of this place, I would try the mongolian buffet. Sadly, with this China Buffet, it’s a process to figure out which things there are good and which should be avoided.

I really don’t know why so many people dislike this buffet. I’ve been coming here since I was 12 and still want to go back. Okay, it’s not superior quality but you get what you pay for. Orange chicken, sweet n sour, rice, kalamari, crab, salmon, it’s all there and I love it. I guess I’m just not as picky as others.

Salt salt salt! This is not the place to go to on day 1 of your diet. People are being harsh. This isn’t trying to be a world class place. I say avoid the sushi but try a little of everything else. Also, they have a big senior discount for lunch. The best deal around. So tell your grandma.

Should have listened to the other reviews, horrible. I went in with low expectations too. Everything is overly salty or fatty. Only redeeming quality is the grill which was just OK.

If it were possible to give a zero rating this would be where I would award it. There was an ominous feeling walking in, the place was dead, and though I am a lover of dives and Asian street foods, I wanted to run away. I will eat with the walls crumbling down around me as long as the food is good. Please, please, I thought, let this place be good. I wanted to root for the little man. I have just watched«Today’s Special» and«Chef» on Netflix and do not want to be a horrible person. The time was peak dinner hour, so there was no excuse for the food to be crusty. Tell me it wasn’t the same food served from lunch, I dare you. So, my husband and I would take the risk, but there was no way I was going to share anything other than my fortune cookie with my toddler. Thank the stars I brought rice puffs and juice. The hot food was cold and the cold food was at room temperature. Serve me mediocre food and I’ll write no review and let it go. Serve me potentially hazardous food and hear me roar.

I want to begin by saying that this is NOT a five star restaurant. I gave it five stars because I feel like it has been unfairly judged and I want to bring the overall rating up a little. I went to this place because I wanted to eat at a Chinese buffet and this was the closest one I found. I enjoyed my experience here and under no circumstances did I or my friend regret coming to this place. The food was good, it gould have been hotter I’ll admit but it still wasn’t dissatifing. The real gem that this place had to offer was the Mongolian BBQ. I am rarely disappointed with Mongolian BBQ but there are some that stand above the rest. I think what made this so special were the vegetable options(I’ve never seen jalapenos offered before) and the sauces. The combination I managed to put togeather resulted in something delicious, spicy, hot, freshly cooked, with a fantastic mouth-feel. Again, this is not a 5 star restaurant but I came here with specific expectations(granted they were low as a result of everyones negative comments) and they exceeded them. If youre looking for a place that serves fine dining with elegant atmosphere then this is not the place for you, but if you want a lot of «Chinese» food with several options from which to choose at a VERY affordable price($ 11 for dinner), then look no further. I strongly urge that you give this place a chance. In all honesty, I’d give it 3& ½ stars overall.

While it is still worth a visit, there are serious drawbacks to coming here. Lets again be clear: This is NOT some elegant Melman«Big Bowl» clone. This is a basic, hot and fast buffet with a decent Mongolian Stir Fry bar. I go there for lunch, which is about $ 8 now. Be sure you go when it is busy(say 12:30) or some of the items will get«old». However, if you hate crowds of Seniors, stay away on Wednesday and Friday when they have a special deal for those over 60. It fills up well before noon on those days. Nevertheless, I love the crowd on those days, as it makes me feel like the kid. However, they do have problems keeping the food flowing from the kitchen. For the freshest items, go to the«Mongolian BBQ bar». Pick the raw items you want and they cook them for you. The resulting Stir Fry can be really good, though it tends to be overcooked — food safety, I suppose. Be sure to add some of all the sauces but be careful with the Hot Pepper Oil — it can be a killer. As for other items, the soups are just ok here, the«sushi» is just California Roll, but they do have Kimchi, decent Hot Wings, pot stickers and more. The staff clears away dishes quickly and efficiently — be sure to tip them if they do the same for you.

I have two star here. Food terrible. I cant just say it was my tastebuds as my dining companion loaded her Plate with different items than mine and she was displeased as well. I had mongolian beef, too well cooked, too spicy(yes I know it is supposed to be) some rice, some chicken teriyake, and some other unmemorable something Friend had shrimp friedn chicken a seafood salad(risky@) I had one good item on my plate. Fruit and a piece of banana cake.

Usually when you eat at a buffet your butt explodes. The people eating there are usually interesting as well. I sat in a booth & in the booth across from me was a man wearing a Star Wars Boba Fett t-shirt about 4 sizes too small. He also had a lo-mein noodle hanging off of his shirt. Also during the course of my meal he farted so loud that my booth rumbled. That has nothing to do with the restaurant or my rating but I thought it was awesome & should be shared. I have ate here a few times over the past few years. My last two visits here would be closer to three stars. The problem is with my most recent visit is that the food tasted abnormally salty. I realize when you eat at a buffet the food quality isn’t the same but the food was salty even for a buffet. Next the food portions were low & they didn’t refill them right away. I had to wait till I was almost full to get the items I wanted. The staff here seemed nice & the place was clean. If I was in the mood for a buffet I would probably check this place out again.

I have been using Unilocal to get the down low on restaurants for a few years now but my experience with this place finally motivated me to sign up and write a review. This restaurant is NICE! The vegetables offered at the fresh cooked Mongolian grill are awesome and the sauce selection is great. The wonton soup is the 2nd best I’ve had in my life and I literally just took a trip to mainland China last month. I was in the parking lot of this place and did a quick Unilocal search which rendered results of 1 and 2 stars. I almost didn’t walk in. WTF!!! Whoever writes these kind of garbage reviews doesn’t understand Chinese food or buffets. I STRONGLY suggest you walk into this place, ask to see the buffet, and make your own decision. It was a great meal and very good service.
