History

Established in 1993.

Autotech began 20 years ago with the idea that automotive customers were not getting the level of service that they deserved at an affordable price. Joseph Kutyna and I, Anthony Discepolo, have spent the last 20 years of our lives pursuing that goal.

Today in our 2 locations, we have the latest equipment, all the diagnostic technology available, and every piece of advanced equipment to preventatively maintain your vehicle for longevity and reliability.

But our greatest resource remains our people! Over the last 20 years, we have built a team with our incredible diversity of background and experience, but all dedicated to plainly «just do the best job possible» at an affordable price. We offer our customer rides to and from home or a free loaner car when one is available, a fair and precise estimate, a good warranty, and in most cases we fix the car in one day.

Eric started in the automotive business back in 1993. In two years, he became the managing service writer of D’Agostinos. While there, he managed all internal and external operations for the shop. Soon after, he was approached by Anthony Discepolo and the rest is history.

Had an excellent experience dropping my car off here for the first time. I dropped it off on a Friday night because I was having brake issues. Saturday morning Eric called to give me an update and quote but didn’t pressure me into any service. He ended up doing a full front brake system replacement and even flushed my fluid for free. When I picked up my car later that morning I had a coupon from their website and he knocked off even more than I expected. Overall I was VERY satisfied. Professional, courteous, and speedy. I’ll definitely return for my next service.

I needed a new set of «All-​Season» tires mounted on my car for New Years Eve.
Called on 12÷30÷15 late afternoon to inquire if they would be able to mount my new tires.
While they wouldn’t take an appointment, I was assured that if I was to show up promptly at 7:00 am on 12÷31÷15 they would do their best to accommodate.
I arrived at 7:01 am on 12÷31÷15 and not only were they open (as advertised), they were ready for business (good sign).
My tires were mounted (properly) and I was ready to leave by 8:00 am. I would also like to note that there was a steady flow of customers, (some regular/​repeat-​another good sign) none seemed agitated and the work in the garage seem to flow.
TIP: 1st timers to check in to Unilocal are provided with a $ 20 coupon for service with $ 50+ in service. I used it and received no hassle.
I will definitely will come back.

Stopped to see if they sold pressure gages, which they did not bit they offered to check my tires. As I went to the car to pull it around, I realized I had locked my keys in my car! They were able to unlock my car and fill up my tires all very courteously. Very helpful.

I’ve been taking my vehicles here for years. Eric and Megan are always friendly, polite, and most importantly: honest. They have the cars repaired by their quoted time, often earlier. Their prices are fair and the work is done right the first time. I live 1 block away, and see they are frequently busy. However, they’ve been able to see my car for a quick resolution if needed. They tell you what needs to be done, what doesn’t, and don’t try to talk you into expensive repairs. I’ll go to these guys any day!

My van overheated yesterday and I don’t live in the area anymore but needed a close, efficient and highly rated mechanic emergently. Google led me here and when I called megan was so helpful and understood my plight and was able to get us in immediately. They found the problem and told us what was happening in great detail. Because of timing it had to be picked up the next morning, but we got a call prior to closing last night that it was done. Went this morning and the bill was 20 dollars less than what they quoted. They gave us a coupon for next service and a bottle of wine. I am throughly impressed and will tell everyone I know that lives around there to go there!

stay away from this place!!!
i recently had a problem with my fuel system where my fuel was leaking out and i had to take it in to get repaired, so i went to where i thought was a reputable shop (boy was i wrong), don’t get me wrong i had been there before and it was a pleasant place to visit with eric and jr. but now they have a bunch of clowns working there. they charged me $ 650.00 to replace my fuel lines from engine to fuel tank, so i was told by victor (the new manager). i thought the price was high but since i’ve been there before i new it would be done right (big mistake). the next day my fuel started leaking again and i was too far to take it back so i had no choice but to take it to a shop near me, to my surprise victors mechanics only put a rubber hose instead of metal lines. the mechanic there told me that it could have started a fire because it rubbed through and was leaking on top of my hot exhaust, so i proceeded to call autotech to give my complain and to see if they were going to cover the cost witch was only $ 150.00 to do it the right way but they said i should have drove it like that back to their shop.(sounds crazy huh) and that my money was not refundable. i will never go there again. thanks to victor at autotech now i know where jr is at only a few blocks north at a citco gas station where i’ll be taking my car from now on and i suggest all who reads this do the same… ps great mechanic even better pricing!!!

We have some noise problem in our camry so we Unilocal and found autotech with good reviews. And yes they are on top be its fair price or service. They quote us a fair amount plus as its a 3 hour task they drop my husband back and did a pick up as well. With Unilocal deal we are able to save another 30 $.
These guys are friendly, professional and efficient as well. Right service with right price and on time. What else we could ask for… thanks Autotech and thanks to Unilocal too :)

I bring my pride and joy, as well as my daily driver to autotech. And with every experience I’ve had with them, It’s been top notch. Fair, reasonable prices, and they don’t try to up-​charge you on things you don’t need. They’ll tell you what’s wrong, what it’ll cost you, and how long it will take, unlike other places that’ll try to sell you everything plus the kitchen sink. I tried replacing the tail light on my Toyota Venza myself but got stuck, so I went to Autotech for help. They literally dropped everything else trying to help me and finished the job right in my presence. It was amazing to watch Santiago how he skilfully loosened up the body parts in order to remove the old tail light and installed the new one. No waiting and a great job; what more can you asked for?

I bought a used car that I was certain had many mechanical issues. Eric and his staff checked it out and only recommended 1 item to be repaired. I authorized the work and it was done at a reasonable price and quickly. I will be back with each of my cars and tout the work done here to my neighbors and co-​workers. Reminds me of the corner gas station mechanic of years gone by… the guys you could trust.

This place is amazing! Eric (the owner) is SO great! I first went there when my car overheated and he quoted a fair price (my dad’s a mechanic so I know about these things). I’m also a 20-​something-​year-​old woman and was worried that I was going to be overcharged, but even before they knew that I had knowledge about cars they treated me very well. The repair took two days, so Eric even went out of his way and drove me to and from my house since I didn’t have a ride (I later found out that this is actually something he does for a lot of his customers)! I now am proud to say that this place is my exclusive mechanic shop.
Bottom line, the whole crew is great, professional, and service very well priced. Quick service and wonderful mechanics! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SHOP!

Agree with prior reviewer that it is surprising this is only the second review. Maybe everyone wants to keep them a secret, but they deserve to have their fine work and customer empathy known.
I had heard good things about them, but was a first time customer with a misfiring engine and wanted to be within walking distance so gave them a try. It was a truly unbelievable experience in this day of typical, «by the book rate» repairs.
Eric treated me like family, took me in promptly, diagnosed the problem, gave a quote and provided a temporary repair (which took at least 20 minutes) and then said «no charge». It is still working great after two weeks. Am on the fence re repairing or replacing a car with nearly 200K miles, but if I keep it, Eric is the man who will do the repair work. They really care and it shows.

I’m surprised this is the first review on here! This place is great.
Eric, the owner/​head mechanic is wonderful. They are honest, have good prices, and you can really trust them. I have been going to them for over 5 years with 2 different cars, and I have friends who use them now too. Very personal service. When I first started going here, I was checking their quotes with some other places — but no need to do that anymore! They are just good people.
I have had bad experiences with mechanics in the past, I am sure everyone has. Especially being a young woman, other places are always so condescending or trying to rip me off. I have never had that problem here — I love this place. I highly recommend it!
