Western Analytical – Asbestos Testing Lab

This lab is awesome! I was originally going to mail samples via Priority mail, but decided to bring them to the lab the next day. The online instructions were clear/​simple to follow and we got our results the same day. It was a lot easier and more affordable than other alternatives!!! Great service and really convenient!!!

These guys are fast! I mailed a sample to them on Wednesday, they got it at noon on Thursday, and sent my report on Friday morning. I am restoring an old trailer and can’t afford the down time all the other labs would have cost me.
Speaking of cost, Western Analytical is also the most affordable, by far. I paid a third of what other labs in Central California quoted me.

Great service! Originally I had bought a «test kit» from a home improvement store end-​of-​the-​aisle display run by another company, but the other company’s website would not let me register the test so I could pay for it or send it in. It turns out other people posted reviews indicating the same thing I experienced. So it seemed I was out of luck. Frustrated, I did another google search and found Western Analytical’s website. They had easy to read instructions, and an easy way to register and pre-​pay for the test. They were also much cheaper than the other place was going to cost. I mailed my samples in via priority express mail and I had the result in my email inbox the very next evening. Great company! Thank you!

This is a great lab. I mailed a sample from
the east coast on a Friday and they emailed the report to me the following Wednesday. The report was clear and easy to read. The price they charge is much lower than the prices charged by several local companies I contacted.

Expedited 4 samples of Asbestos to arrive Monday for testing. I received results same day it was received. Other labs take weeks to months to give results. They are highly recommended.

I used them twice. Both times got results emailed to me the same day. I will continue to use them.

I dropped off Linoleum samples in the morning when Lab opened to test for asbestos. Mike emailed me the results at 2PM (no asbestos). That was a 6 hour turnaround time. I inquired couple of labs in my area (Pasadena), some quoted $ 95 for 1 week turnaround, and others Quoted $ 25 with $ 200 membership fee for 3 day turn around. Mike only charged me $ 30 for 24hour turnaround, and he delivered results in ¼ of the time.
Like others said, lab report was professional and the report is signed.

Impressed with their speed, cost, and professionalism. We put our samples in the mailbox at 5 pm on Saturday and somehow got the results back by Monday. Wow. (and a thank-​you to the post office, too). Great lab.

Fantastic Lab!
We sent in some samples with a USPS Priority Mail box on Wednesday and had lab results by Sunday night. Most of that time was shipping time, so I’m certain the lab testing took place in about 24 hours.
The lab report was as professional as anything I’ve seen from any other lab. They are accredited and the report is signed, so I’m sure it could be used as proof for anyone who wants it.

I saw an episode of Holmes on Homes where even Mike Holmes was unaware that the plaster walls he was working on had asbestos. Plaster walls with asbestos? As a home owner of a house built prior to 1980, I wanted to know whether I had asbestos, too. I followed the instructions on their website, got the plaster and associated wallboard, and mailed in a sample. Filled out their web form, sent in a payment via their website, and submitted a sample on a Monday via USPS. I got the results on that Wednesday showing no asbestos detected. Awesome! Pretty easy process. Will use again when I plan on working with the stucco outside and our Linoleum floors.

We were remodeling an old house and started breaking down walls. Half of our contractors told us that the old drywall & plaster walls definitely contained asbestos; the other half assured us that they didn’t. Each of them had a method to prove their conclusion: you can see the fibers, the plaster crumbles in your hand, the paper doesn’t burn, etc.
We weren’t sure what we were dealing with and thought it’d be wise to have it tested. We knew that if the tests came back negative (no asbestos), that we’d feel more comfortable and that would be money well spent. If the tests came back positive (asbestos found), we’d know not to mess with it and it’s money well spent.
Here’s where this company blew me away. I dropped off my sample at 11 AM. I figured the lab test would run us a few hundred dollars. To my surprise, it was only $ 30! Mike was so knowledgable and spent the time to answer all of my questions. He emailed me the report that same afternoon. Speedy service, friendly staff and a great price! Does any company get better than that?

I need to get my vinyl floor tested for Asbestos due to some remolding which included new flooring. Found Western Analytical Lab online, and I’m glad I did. Mailed in my samples on Tuesday and got my results emailed to me Thursday.

What can I say, very competitive prices, fast, accurate, sent samples in from the east coast via priority 2 day mail they received the package by 12:30 their time, and in 4 ½ hours I received a complete full professorial report via email. I’ve used may other labs and this one just does it the best way possible. If your thinking of using a lab for your asbestos samples. Look no further, you wont go away regretting it!

These guys saved my day. While having flooring installed, some tile of concern was uncovered. I was told the contractors couldn’t proceed with the job until the tile was tested and confirmed contained no asbestos. What I thought was going to hold up the job for several weeks was handled the same day both professionally and in the most timely manner. I brought the sample in at 1pm and had a report by 6pm. I was even able to continue the job the very next day. Pricing was reasonable and strait forward too! I’d use them again and recommend them to anyone.

Dropped off at 11, results by 3. $ 30. Fast results. Building was a little tricky to find because gps was wrong. You just scrape a few teaspoons of popcorn ceiling into a plastic Baggie and drop it off. Great place!
