Amazing gluten free chinese food! Have been eating here for years and my whole family loves it!

Good food, excellent value. Wait service can be challenging because English is a second language for the staff, but if you understand that going in it’s actually part of the charm. The entrees are large enough to share between two adults, and arrive at your table immediately after preparation, We went a bit later in the evening, and were rewarded with a quiet, relaxing meal — we were able to have a conversation, which added to our enjoyment. Definitely worth a try…

Great food. They can accommodate many food allergies and the kids love eating there.

Today I decided to try this place for lunch, the food was absolutely not good. My friends and I ordered the basics and they all came with the same greasy brown sauce. Please do not order the shrimp in lobster sauce; the sauce was slimy and it looked gross, totally inedible. We were over charged and billed separately for everything after we were told it was the lunch specials. The staff was old and cranky, and the overall service was subpar. I would never eat at or recommend this place.

If you don’t care if every dish has the same tired sauce, this is your place! Dishes are full of mushrooms for filler, even dishes that shouldn’t have mushrooms. The décor is bland and depressing. If you like a good level of spice, you will not get it here. I wish I could like this restaurant because it is convenient and has good parking, but those are not good enough reasons to eat here.

My favorite Chinese food in the area, actually favorite Chinese food close to my home, it is very pricey but it’s for sure real meat! My favorite is the sesame beef extra crispy and the scallion pancakes are also very good! They also serve delicious dim sum during lunch for a reasonable price. The bubble tea is ok.

The food is consistantly good in this neighborhood Chinese Restaurant in the Village of Ardsley. The service is excellent and I am always greeted warmly.

I’ve been to very few Chinese restaurants with such fresh ingredients. I lived in Ardsley for 4 years and went to school there for 7 years; however I always ate at the two other hole-in-the wall restaurants with the typical add-water chicken and beef. When I came home from college my parents had discovered the quality of this small, dimly-lit and unassuming place and took me. We wanted beef, we got rib eye; T-bone. Crab Rangoon? You got it, fresh crab meat. I would recommend eating in, however. Friendly service, even though our server’s English(speaking) was not great. No worries however, they will get your order right and you will be blown away. Try the scallops.

Just got take out. Egg rolls smelled like horses. Mongolian beef was inedible. I was very shocked that they wouldn’t take payment over the phone. Not returning.

Great food, very nice people running the place, would definitely go back for my Chinese food cravings. Ample parking at the small community center, so definitely a nice place to have a good dinner.

Chinese food that isn’t half as good as typical take-out, but because it is a sit down restaurant, the owners feel the right to charge high prices for very mediocre food. Stay away. FYI — the sesame chicken tastes like rubber and I could probably count the sesames in the whole dish.

For take-out Chinese food, this place works pretty good. It is in a convenient location for those driving along 9A or the Saw Mill River Pkwy. The restaurant sits within a strip-mall and does give you ample room for parking. The food has a good sized list with options that one comes to expect in the U.S. when ordering from such an establishment; i.e. Kung Pao Chicken, Shrimp w/Garlic Sauce, Beef w/Broccoli, etc. Most of the dishes are pretty good, although I would prefer them to be spicier, especially those they list with a chili pepper next to them. And for those dining in, expect a rather dated setting. If they made a few upgrades in this area, they would be likely to see a nice increase in sit-down checks.

Many Southern Westchester gluten free restaurants recently closed up. If you require gluten free and are tired of cooking, this might be the only place in town. My yardstick for evaluation is(1) gluten free(2) didn’t get sick(if you are gluten free, you know what I mean).

We have been going to Golden Wok for years, as we live in the neighborhood. It’s always been consistent and serves decent Chinese food. We had a terrible experience last week, though, and we will not return. We ordered a chef’s special eggplant, chicken and shrimp dish. We ordered it «spicy.» The dish tasted like they left the sauce off completely. We told the waiter and he brought us soy sauce and chili sauce to help liven up the dish. It still didn’t taste good. We had ordered a couple of other dishes, so we were not hungry at this point. He took the dish away, mostly not eaten and gave us the bill. The bill included the dish we hadn’t eaten. I complained the manager, who refused to credit our bill for the uneaten food. She went and looked in the garbage can, where he had thrown the food away, and said it looke like we had eaten a good portion of the dish, which wasn’t true. After much more discussion, she agreed to charge us ½ of the full amount for that item. I was so angry about the poor customer service that I will not return.

good Chinese food. The servers are efficient. The noodles with sesame sauce, steamed and fried dumplings and chicken and broccoli are satisfying.

Bland food, General Tsao’s chicken lacked any flavor and the Lo Mein tasted like cardboard. One plus, they had very good tea and fried noodles.

Growing up in the neighborhood, I spent my childhood at Golden Wok. As a young one, we got take-out approximately once a week, so I’ve easily had Golden Wok hundreds of times. The lunch special is awesome– it’s like $ 7(it used to be $ 5– damn inflation) for a soup and meal with fried rice. Best dishes: chicken with broccoli chicken with 3 kinds of mushrooms chicken chow mein moo shoo chicken chicken with Chinese vegetables in a white sauce egg drop soup fried rice love They make their own fried noodle cracker chip things(whatever they’re called) which are amazing and crispy and greasy and go even better with duck sauce. They used to make their own fortune cookies, but they don’t anymore. Probably for the best because the homemade ones were always a little stale. It’s technically«upscale» because it has waiter service, cloth napkins, and not one of those order-at-the-counter places with the pictures of the food. The price is cheap– about $ 10ish per dish.(It used to be $ 7 a dish! Oh 1990s, I miss you.) The first place in NYC where I lived was in Chinatown, and I forbid to eat the food there. I’d find lame excuses to go to Ardsley for Golden Wok, and I’d take food back with me. Dear Golden Wok, I love you to death and miss you with all my heart. Please cater my wedding(or open up a branch in NYC.) Also, they don’t deliver, which sucks. And a note: the take-out portions are bigger than the dine-in.

I go here when I want Chinese food in the neighborhood. There are three Chinese restaurants in this small town and this is the only one I will go to. My daughter was in the mood for beef with snow peas, so I called up my order and added a small roast pork fried rice and a shrimp egg roll. I was skeptical about ordering the beef because way too many times at these American Chinese restaurants the beef is tough and chewy. Boy was I surprised! That beef was so dang tender and tasty! The roast pork fried rice was yummy too and the egg roll was greasy, just the way I like it! Hey, I’m Chinese and I have eaten a lot of good authentic Chinese food, but sometimes I just get a hankering for that good old American/Chinese fare.

Pleased to eat you. How often does one find a Chinese restaurant straight out of the 90’s that serves up the cheap classics that I find myself craving time and time again? Now multiply that amazingness by 100 for having a gluten free menu, and you have Golden Wok Café. This place is not pretentious, the food will not blow your socks off, but for not having had pink roasted pork in YEARS, I can say that they have a friend in me. Cue Toy Story music and a happy belly.
