Not good for beginners for two reasons. Not enough beginner classes. And beginners don’t get to dance to any music at all. Why? Because there are always intermediate and advanced classes being taught in the same room at the same time. So the more senior instructors have control of the music. The rare times that Nika tried to put on a song for us it only lasted literally several seconds until they turned it off.

4.5 stars overall: 5 stars for their instruction, 4 stars for their social dances and facility.
For both International and American Standard dances, this is one of the best places to learn proper technique, west of Philadelphia.
In my opinion, beginners are happy with Nica, all others will want John Larson for ballroom/​smooth and Jean Paul or Lana Rossi for latin/​rhythm. Their high quality, high standards and ability to teach are clear to see by watching their many accomplished students.
It’s one of the few places that have strong intermediate level group classes.
However, despite a clean, bright, newly finished studio and nice bathrooms, I can only give 4 stars for the facility because it has 2 posts on the dance floor. For beginners and latin/​rhythm dancers, this won’t matter; you’ll consider it 5 stars once you figure out the local parking.
I can only give 4 stars for their dance parties, because they haven’t yet established a reputation for hosting social dances. Again, their pre-​social dance lesson is excellent, but MLB cannot compete with Peppermint on Saturday nights. You’re never sure how many dancers will show up; they will be nice people and mostly good dancers, but good social dances require a wide variety of partners, plus a couple dance hosts to ensure singles and newcomers get attention. Food and beverages are on the light side. There are no «mixer» dances to force people to mingle or give singles a chance to dance with someone new. I know they’re working on improving their social dance parties.

A beautiful ballroom dance studio in Ardmore that is owned and operated by highly talented professional dancers. I take both private and group lessons there. You can learn to dance at every level, ranging from beginner to advanced, with or without a partner. It is also possible to take lessons to prepare for a wedding dance. The level of instruction is of the very highest quality and they teach both American and International styles of dance. There are social dance parties held every other week that are open to the public and are a lot of fun as well as Hustle/​West Coast Swing and Argentine tango parties.

This is a newly renovated building and a great studio with brilliant natural light. I believe they do everything from one on one to salsa classes. I am writing this to help them out. So many businesses aren’t aware of how useful Unilocal is. And it’s in the heart of Ardmore! Cruise over to Tired Hands for a beer after a dance!
