This place is not very good at all and it’s a shame because it’s the closest thing to me. The last time I ate there was a couple months ago and it was so gross, it even made me physically ill. I was severely ill for two days. The rice was so dry and tasted like stale corn chips! I will never eat there again. Also, their customer service is horrible. Not polite or hospitable at all. Very bad phone etiquette. Never again.

It smelled horrible, the food is basically poison, and there are less than 10 people there every time, just by looking at the parking lot. Nuff said.

This is the place for Chinese, Thai, Japanese, Vietnamese, Filipino meals that I crave for in a city called Skyland that send me afloat of meals that elevates my palate to yumminess. Service: attentive, reservations not necessary but if you walk-in, just be prepared to wait some minutes in line especially on «busy» dining times. Here’s where a waiter who just loves to attend to me. He even taught me how to make sushi’s dip(that ginger-wasabi-soy sauce mix style was made delicious!!) Cuisine: takes you to the sweet, spicy, salty, piquant, sour experience. Never fails to meet my hunger expectation. A must-have is the soup, sushi, seafood, meat and vegetables all served buffet-style or a la carte menu. Atmosphere: it’s amiable, cozy to family gatherings, birthdays & anniversaries It’s just awesome when I always get a nice table eventhough I mostly dine by myself if not with friends or relatives. My favorite Asian dining in the mountainous South!

Actually did not get to eat here. We looked at their menu online, that showed they had a buffet, and so went, based on family saying the sushi was great, finding that there is no buffet. Staff that was there when we went was not friendly and so we left. My sister raves about this place so I expect the food to be very good but they should be honest enough to take down a menu that has changed.

They were open for new years eve! We had a large group and they had a perfect table for us. The food was quite good and the menu had a large selection. I had this sashimi bowl on top of some seasoned rice which was delicious. The octopus on there was not chewy so I enjoyed it. It’s not a fancy place and there are not that many restaurants around here.

From the outside, this would look like a «no no» restaurant. Tacky name, chinese buffet… etc. But man, that sushi was *good* I’d have to say it’s probably lower top 10 in my life, but that’s saying a lot for a random place in NC. Andy was really nice, and the Sushi was not overpriced.(rhymes lol) He had lovely bonito fresh from Japan that was awe inspiring and the fresh wasabi is a MUST. Although I doubt I will be in the area ever again, I’d love to go here one more time.

The proprietors here are like my family and I miss them — and the food — since I moved out of state. It’s off the beaten path from Asheville, but worth a trip south to Skyland for a good meal.

I make it in for lunch at least once a week. The owner, Amy, is very friendly and offers great service with her staff. The lunch buffet is good, I especially like the Chicken Sticks and Hot & Sour Soup! Great choice for a quick lunch when you are burned out on fast food!!!

I have loved Asian Grill since I was in Skyland. Since the move to(almost) Fletcher, I don’t go quite as often, but the food is just as good. Very friendly service and a wide variety of dishes always make it a treat. The sushi is very good, be sure to ask about the specials, especially if they have tuna collar(hamachi kama)! My two favorite entrees are the Singapore pasta and the tempura red snapper(fish special C), and they have the best hot and sour soup in town. There is also a NY style take out located in the front that has a separate entrance that has all of the typical Chinese take-out items. And, as far as I know, they are the only place that has Orion beer from Okinawa.
