History

Established in 1984.

The business was started by Chirstina and Napolean in 1984. Before Acropolis Pizza, they started the late Olympic Flame Restaurant in Black Mountain and Apollo Flame Bistro in Asheville. They are currently retired in Greece. Aleks Stamatovich and Family continue the tradition in 2004. Putting more Italian and Greek Dishes on the menu, along with catering, delivery, and opening up on Sundays. The Stamatovich Family is of Serbian decent which mirror images the customs and culture of the Greek people. The Stamatovich Family has continued the success of Acropolis Pizza by sticking to the original recipes and adding new ones over time.
