Zamora’s New and Used Furniture opened it’s doors in June of 2013, originally specializing in imported wicker and ratan furniture. It has since evolved in to a place to find great everyday furniture at great everyday prices.

The owner sold me his personal nightstand and in the store it looked fine. I took it home and there was a weird oil spreading throughout the drawer day by day. I called the store, they said to bring it back and they’ll see what’s up. I didn’t even get into the store when he told me it was his coagulated sex lubricant. Like dude what the hell? You couldn’t even clean it up? He just laughed and made some comment about how he could’ve sold it 10 times already and went on to look for his beer. The guy was also stingy he didn’t want to write me a receipt because it costs him 15¢… like uh I’m dropping $ 45 you can’t spare 15¢?
All in all, don’t buy from this cheap guy who won’t even clean up his own lube from furniture he is selling.

These guys are great! I went in looking for a futon for the house I moved in. The owner of the shop was exceptionally knowledgeable and friendly. He even let me take his van to help lug my furniture around. I will defiantly be back… even if it’s just to say hi to the owner’s dog :3

Zamora’s is the first place I go when I need furniture. My husband and I moved to Arcata recently, and we’ve furnished much of our home with items from Zamora’s. I can always find a great variety of items at terrific prices there, and delivery is both prompt and free. I often stop by when I’m downtown, just to see whether there is anything new. I have found the owner Jason to be very personable, helpful, and kind. Highly recommended!

Some of the best customer service I’ve ever received in Humboldt County. Jason, the owner, and his assistant, Carl, are some of the kindest, and most helpful people I have ever met. They went out of their way to make sure I was a satisfied customer, and I’m so happy with the couch I bought!

My daughter and I had a very nice experience at zamoras. We bought a high quality set of bunk beds that were in very good used condition. Jenni the store manager was very helpful and gave me dimensions over the phone. She worked with me on price to make sure the furniture fit our room and our budget. Then she and the owner loaded everything in my truck. It wasn’t easy and they did a great job. They were even willing to loan me an extra tie down if needed. I recommend this store because of excellent customer service.

This business is not ADA accessible. Also, selection is terrible. Staff is rude. And, it smells a little like something died in one of the drawers of the used furniture. Like a mouse… yeah, that is it… the place smells like dead mice.

I refuse to shop here as should you! The people who own this place are extorionist and are not good to our community. Plus you can even walk around in this store. It’s so packed. Not ADA accessible. He should hire himself to shut his own store down.

This place has really nice stuff at good prices. The item I bought seemed to be defective and I brought it back after trying to fix it myself with no luck. I called and the gentleman said bring it in so they could check it out. I brought it in and he noticed immediately that the craftsmanship was to blame and told me he would call me the next day when they decided what the best action would be as I asked for a refund. They called the next day and said I would receive a full refund.
I was really impressed with the customer service and will shop there again.
