I met with Melissa for a consultation & my first treatment today and was extremely impressed. Her practice is warm, clean and inviting. She’s compassionate, a great listening & highly gifted. I plan to see her on a regular basis to address several issues including a reoccurring injury. I now understand why she came highly recommended by a trusted friend. She’s a gem!

I saw Melissa for acupuncture and she was truly lovley. Very warm, relatable and calming during a challenging time. I saw her about 6 times and she made herself readily available and followed up afterwards.
Her office is a bit small and this is clearly a one (wo)man operation, but it’s a positive space and I’d recommend her.

Melissa is awesome! She is not my regular acupuncturist because I live in the city, so I have a regular one there, but she is near one of my Dr. s who is in Marin. So, I have gone, following one of those appointments. I think she is a great acupuncturist. I would go back to her in a heartbeat and I highly recommend her!

Melissa did placenta encapsulation for me and her customer service was beyond anything I’ve experienced. My baby came early so I didn’t have a chance to arrange this service in advance. On the same day of my call to her, she arranged for pick-​up and within a day and a half she came back to the hospital to deliver the encapsulation. She’s amazing and so was the product. It really helped– I never experience any post-​partum depression!

We are sorry to have to write a negative review, but we feel compelled to warn others of an unfortunate experience. We hope it is a strange aberration, since we have been impressed with most people in the homebirth culture. We were referred to Ms. Berg for placenta encapsulation and tincture, and she likely did deliver the product to our house promptly, the morning after the birth. However, the mother and daughter were both admitted to the hospital that morning for nearly a week due to a blood infection that was life-​threatening to both. While Ms. Berg was aware of this, she sent the first invoice to be paid 17 days later. All of this is fine so far, until I asked if we might cancel the tincture preparation, having been told by our referrer that this can take weeks, and knowing that we would not injest infected blood and organ. Ms. Berg responded accusing us of being «incredibly rude» not to have paid her or communicated in the roughly ten days my wife and daughter have been home. She also said she had planned to «write off» the bill but did not because I had not reached out to her. I responded saying we’ve had a few other more important concerns, most importantly healing, then hospital bills, the birth certificate, SSN, and adjusting to welcoming a newborn after a traumatic hospital stay. Nonetheless, I paid the $ 350 fee in-​full, knowing we would never eat potentially dangerous, infected blood and organs. If receiving payment in 14 days warrants these unprofessional and truly rude accusations against clients who have been through a terrible, stressful experience, we can confidently say she’s in the wrong business.

I love that I have connected with Melissa to help boost my immunity which has been easily off balance post kids. She’s super knowledgable, educates and I always enjoy seeing her. I’m so relaxed after our session and always look forward to seeing her again. It’s like visiting with a friend!

I began seeing Melissa to treat the chronic migraines I’ve had for years. Within hours of my first appointment, there was a marked decrease in my pain level. And as I continued treatment the number of headaches reduced impressively. The migraines could make me quite sick, and they always came at the most in opportune times. Melissa was incredibly kind and accommodating, often squeezing me in without an appointment. And, of all the acupuncturists I’ve been to, she’s the quickest & gentlest when putting those needles in!

I have been going to Melissa for acupuncture, massage, and general healthcare for more than a year. I consider her my primary healthcare provider. Melissa listens carefully, thoughtfully, and compassionately to my concerns, treats me with respect and gentleness, and encourages changes in my habits which promote optimal health.
She is constantly expanding her base of expertise. I constantly recommend Melissa to others for any health issue as well as just an opportunity to help your body stay balanced.

Melissa was instrumental in helping me with my second pregnancy. She came highly recommended by a few other women. Melissa helped relieve my massive back pain, charlie horses and other pains of pregnancy. When time came, she helped with the induction through acupuncture. In all, I ended up with an easier pregnancy and a healthy baby.
I also brought my mother to her as she as experiencing dizziness. In one session, my mother was better.
I highly recommend Melissa to anyone that is in need of attention or healing.

Melissa was amazing for me when I was pregnant with my third baby. I saw her three times before my bundle was born. With it being my third my back was really hurting from getting two older kids in and out of car seats. She really helped to ease my pain physically but also helped put me in a proper mental state to ready myself for my newest bundle. Melissa is very cognizant of your goals in meeting with her and will go above and beyond what you would expect. I highly recommend Melissa’s practice.
