Bloom Salon and Spa

I’ve been here a few times now in the last year; two haircuts and a color with Michael. All of my visits here have arguably been the best of any salon I’ve visited. Everyone is always in a good mood and welcoming and Michael is very easy to have conversation with and communicate what I want and what he plans to do. Both times that I’ve had my hair cut with Michael I’ve left feeling so pleased and excited with my cut and style, he really listens and gives me exactly what I hope for when I go into the salon.

Got a haircut from Michelle. The place is big and clean. they were playing retro music on the speakers, but not too loud. which was a plus. im annoyed easy and i wasnt. Michelle was friendly but not overly so. she didnt start with small talk till well into the appointment which i LOVED. I dont like someone who feels the need to talk the entire time. but we did talk a little. id go back on that basis alone. But the hair cut was good. she listened and did what I wanted with it. I would recommend to a friend.

I love this place. Great atmosphere and design. Quiet and welcoming. Taylor takes care of my head and hair and I am always thrilled with her work. I get the kind of haircut that I do absolutely nothing to in the morning except wash. Perfect. And, she is a kick in the pants. Great conversations. One of the best parts? No TV!!! The staff is smart and fun; no other entertainment needed.

I went to this spot one time for a haircut and liked it so I booked a haircut a week before my out of state wedding, MONTHS in advance. I was called the day of and was told that my appointment was cancelled because my hairdresser was sick. Ok, well that happens. Can’t blame anyone for that. But then when they tried to reschedule me with the person I requested, they gave me options of almost a month out, which obviously didn’t help me or make sense. I explained to the lady who called that since I had made an appointment months ago, I shouldn’t be moved back to the end of the list and should be worked into the schedule sooner than that. She was very unhelpful and when I told her I would look elsewhere, she didn’t seem to give two licks about that. Too bad. I was hoping I found my hair spot in this town but they definitely lost my business for good.

Love this salon! It’s gorgeous, clean, and stylie! All the staff I’ve met have been friendly and professional. You won’t regret the visit!

Michelle, Michelle, Michelle!!! She is the absolute best, as she is the balayage queen!
Can’t recommend her enough! I get complements on my hair all the time for how nicely my wavy hair is shaped and how natural the blonde looks.
Also, I’ve had issues here in Humboldt with hair stylists being flaky and difficult to get a hold of, I have to say Michelle is not like that. She is extremely professional and completely reliable. Double high five for that.

It’s easy to say that I LOVE this salon. It is full of talented, funny, and attentive employees. The nail tech, Kim, is fantastic. She is probably the sweetest person you’ll meet and she always does an awesome job. Michelle does a great job on my hair every time and always makes great conversation while sitting in her chair. Taylor is a ton of fun and keeps me laughing and entertained. The ambiance is so comfortable and relaxing. This is my go-​to for any and all of my salon needs :)

My nails and cuticles had been neglected (by myself of course) for far to long. I had been talking for a while about getting a mani, but put it off and put it off. Then I met Kim! I finally made that appointment my nails had been reminding me about. Soooo glad I did. On this rainy day after not being able to color my hair (at a different place) I was a bit down, but then I got to Bloom and the gloom started to float away. Kim did the most amazing gel manicure. My nails, cuticles, and hands feel and look oh so much better. I can hardly wait until my next appointment! Y’all need to go see Kim and get those mani’s and pedi’s guys and gals alike. I promise you won’t regret it!

I’ve been getting my manicures and pedicures from Kimberly for awhile now and she is talented! She is not only super sweet, but she uses great products (Aveda and Butter polish. no formaldehyde and weird chemicals) and makes sure that you are comfortable and looking your best. I’ve never been to a nail person that was so passionate about what they do. She does nail art and gels, paraffin pretty much everything you’d want. Super happy she’s part of the Bloom salon team.
PS… she is SUPER CLEAN and takes her sanitation seriously.
