I don’t give 5 stars usually, but in this case it is much deserved. I’m a single homeowner, and on July 31 my bathroom flooded. When the floor was tested they found asbestos; so my whole house had to be tested. Asbestos was found in 70% of my house, I was so overwelmed. After they removed the Asbestos and half a wall, all the flooring and the build in selves. My house looked like hell. Pro-​Tech was suggested to me by my insurance company, so I hired them… reluctantly. I’m so glad I did, they didn’t «patch up» my home, they restored it. My home looks amazing, you would never know in was ever damaged. Ray answered all my questions and calmed my fears, he and his crew went above and beyond what they promised. When your a single woman you expect contractors to try to take advantage of you; not these guys. I’m so happy with their work, They were polite and considerate and they cleaned up after themselves. I will call on them again when I need a contractor.

Protech just finished an insurance repair on my parent’ den and we couldn’t be happier! Ray was referred by our insurance representative from Farmer’s. He came out almost immediately to see the job and provided an estimate the next day. Everything went quickly, the crew was great, and really took much care to ensure that my parents were satisfied. The drywall, painting, baseboards, wood repair — everything was top notch. I highly recommend Protech!

Ray from ProTech responded to a call from my mother (Ellie) about a wet spot in the carpet in her bedroom. Ray loacted the leak and contacted my mother’s plumber who was depatched immediately to stop the leak. Ray and his crew then went into action pulling back the carpet and pad and set up blowers and a dehumitifier. By the ned of the week all work was complete with no sign that anything had ever happened. Thanks to Ray, Dawn and ProTech for an outstanding job!

This is my first ever posted review on Unilocal.Our excellent experience with Protech finally motivated me to take the time to post.
My wife and I bought a house this year and sure enough, during the heavy rain storm in February there were 2 major leaks into the house. Two of our walls and the ceiling in one room were completely warped from a leak in the roof and in another room the water got in through the floorboards and warped our laminate wood floor. Luckily for us our insurance company called Protech. They came immediately to provide water mediation to stop further damage and start the drying process.. When the rain finally stopped, they came to asses the damage and make recommendations. From the start Grant and the rest of the team were extremely reliable and professional which is what you want when 2 rooms are in disarray. They were able to coordinate both rooms getting completely repaired in less than a week. That includes replacing the drywall and floors and completely repainting the entire rooms. Protech was so easy to communicate with. They were always on time, friendly, and most of all did a phenomenal job. The rooms look brand new! A free upgrade:) I can’t stress how professional and easy to work with they were. Certainly reduces anxiety. If we ever decide to make changes to our home in the future or need to for some unlucky reason, we are going straight to Protech. They have our highest recommendation and appreciation!

We recently had a major pipe burst issue at the home we were renting and I can honestly say that Gus and the rest of his protech crew and staff were the only thing that went right with the cleanup and repair. They were efficient, courteous, knowledgeable, and available — in short, exactly what you need in that kind of emergency.

I had a toilet run over at my house and Protech was great at putting the house back together. I would like to thank Grant, Kristin and the whole gang at Protech Construction. They were great.

I thought they were just great. Professional, responsive, timely, and very good at what they do. And, their office staff was very friendly and helpful.

I have a seemingly troubled little house! But each time something happens to it (broken door, garbage truck vs. roof, uhaul vs roof), PROTECH has come to the rescue! They came recommended from my insurance company as a State Farm approved vendor and I can see why. Dax and Kristin were always my main points of contact and very good with communication. The work is top notch and although I think PROTECH is wonderful, it would be nice to not have to hire them again. ;) Maybe I should have them paint my roof orange so no one hits it.

Jarrett and his team are phenomenal! Can’t say enough positive remarks about them. They are reliable, honest, calm under pressure, and see the job through to the end. We had a fire in our property in LA. City code upgrades and inspectors drove everyone bonkers… very frustrating. Jarrett and the workers were persistent, competent, and professional. They stuck with it through to the end and reassured us every step of the way. They went above and beyond what was expected. Couldn’t have gone through this difficult period without them. I recommend ProTech 100%!

We had extensive water damage and subsequent mold in our home at the beginning of the year. Dax, Kristin and Monet took care of everything! Made the process as smooth as possible! I highly recommend this company and their work ethic.

Amazing! I was seriously stressed out from the water damage in my home. Sewer back up. . Ewwww!!! I didn’t know who to call and a friend recommended I call Protech because of the great service she received. From my initial call to the final floorboard they nailed in, everything was seamless. As a mother of a 2 and 3 year old I needed it fixed fast but with the peace of mind it was being done correctly, ie quality materials, no mold, etc.. .They delivered perfectly! I HIGHLY recommend them to take care of your home.

Jarrett and his team were on the ball when I had a recent flood and subsequent mold embedded in my wood floors. We actually had the floors resurfaced 10 months ago but the water remained. So, Jarrett came in way after insurance had already looked at the claim the first time.
Protech came to me through DKI, Disaster Kontrol, a company my insurance company uses for mold abatement.
His team was timely, although the first phone call after hours was a bit of a cat and mouse game. It seems as though they’re big when you talk to the answering service but apparently only a few people run dispatch. Once he set the time, he was by the same day.
Jarrettt laid out the plan and listened to what I DIDN’T want vs what I DID want. I am not a fear-​obsessed homeowner like many and so mold doesn’t scare me. Mold has been in the world for millions of years. It’s not as bad as the media likes you to think.
He sent a very able Carlos over on the planned day and it turned out no one else came with him. There was a «possible» helper coming but they never made it. It turned out this was alright and Carlos demo’d a large portion of our hardwoods by himself. He worked 8 straight hours demo’ing and putting up the containment barrier. He did a very good job of not crashing my walls in or damaging non-​molded portions of the area — something I was worried about.
The mold check guy came the next day as scheduled (another company that Protech uses) and I passed. Carlos came by the same day to get the trash from the containment and made sure I was good to go.
My only down note would be that Jarrett said he uses Felikian’s for hardwood. I used Felikian’s for carpet recently and was not impressed. Look at my review for Walk On Wood on Unilocal and use Gary. MUCH better and more quality minded. The Felikian carpet guy saw my wood floors that Gary expertly finished and made a «suggestion» to put gloss on them. He doesn’t get high end work apparently.
I can’t say anything else, but when you’re in panic mode and you need someone to do this in the San Gabriel Valley, call Jarrett. You’ll be glad you did. I’m surprised he’s not on Unilocal already.
