Grabbed Halloween costumes on the 31^st. The people here love what they do. Enjoyed shopping with them. Good vibes there.

First time here and we were overwhelmed when we stepped in. There are soooooooo many costumes and props! Feels like trying them all on! Lol. Bought props for our Halloween party tonight. Good service from the staff at the cashier. Minus 1-​star for the price, kinda pricey but I’ll still be back to check out the costumes next time.

After renting from Pokadots last year, they have helped me build two Awesome costumes for this year’s events. Arleen and Carey are very knowledgeable when it comes to designing a costume.

Great selection of costumes and the customer service was awesome. My daughter loved the place. According to her, «The staff is so nice, I love this place. Let’s come back!»

Had to check this spot out as it was one of the only places that carried professional grade theatre makeup and glad I did! This place has a lot to choose from when it comes to costumes and accessories! And if your into vintage or steampunk, the jewelry collection she has is amazing!
And customer service was also an A+

We had an 80s themed murder mystery dinner we attended on Valentine’s Day. We are so glad we rented our costumes from Polka Dots. We got many compliments from other people. But to top off the night, we won Best Dressed! How much more legit can you get than coming here to find anything you are looking for? Hands down, the best place to get your period themed costumes. Spend a little more and get quality, real stuff!

Honestly, this is the ONLY place you need for ALL your costume wishes; Period. The sweethearts there know ALL the tricks and techniques to get the best costume you’ll ever have.
My better half and I wanted to dress as Mexican Bandits, but had no idea how to start. The girls guided us through the whole fun process of picking out everything we needed, down to the tiniest detail.
And if you’re looking for the least expensive costume possible, They have those too, and cheaper than @ those temporary Halloween shops that pop up every year.
It’s always an adventure when you walk into this place. You’ll love it.

There’s just too much stuff here, it was a bit overwhelming to say the least. It’s really easy to get lost, not literally, but just lost in a sense that there’s so much stuff here that you don’t want to leave after you’ve found what you needed. One of the standout qualities of this store is that they carry more than the standard run-​of-​the-​mill Halloween costumes, it’s a legitimate costume shop. Pok-​A-​Dots is essentially the one stop shop for all things I need for a costume.

Great place to get costumes! They have practically everything you can imagine. I picked up The Grinch for a birthday party and it was a hit.

It’s not always easy to summon your alter-​ego, especially if your regular ego has gained a few pounds, and Cat Woman is no longer an option. Polk-​a-​dots to the rescue. They’ve helped me do everything from Richard Pryor to mission-​era señorita (or let’s face it, señora). If you want to win the costume contest, this is where you put on your A game.

Picked up a masquerade mask here during Halloween.
Didn’t really get a chance to walk the entire store (since it was super packed with people doing last minute shopping for costumes), however, will return if I ever need one.
Things to note:
1) store is not just packed with people walking though tight small aisles, but also super packed (think to the brim) with all sorts of costumes. If you don’t have a guide in that place, could get overwhelmed and lost, panicky and leave.
2) owner came up to me and told me that they don’t allow big purses in the store and to check my purse up front with the employees. it was a good thing i was about to leave though. apparently, they’re afraid of theft of their items which is why they enacted that policy. so if you must visit girls, smaller purses if you don’t want a stranger watching over your purse.
3) parking is super confusing in the back as it’s one big lot with signs pointing this way and that for all the different stores. parking for this store consists of 6 – 8 spaces directly located in the back with a sign indicating it’s for Pok-​A-​Dots. Don’t get confused and park elsewhere since you could get towed. Also, spaces are tight and you’ll have to back out of the lot in order to leave.
Overall, lots of variety and even though no one helped me or greeted me at the door, I will return.

I love this place! I wish I had more costume parties to go to just so I could have an excuse to come to this store. I originally came here because I needed a mask for a masquerade party, and party city was not cutting it. The selection was impressive, and after I finally chose my mask, the lady even helped tape some foam to the nose so that it would stay up on my face. I wanted feathers, which were kind of expensive ($ 3/​feather, when the mask was only $ 15) but for the convenience of having it glued on right then and there, it was nice. Hope to frequent this place much more in the future!

This place is packed with costumes. Upon entering, I was beyond impressed. Though it seemed cluttered and hard to find things, there’s no doubt that if you’re looking for a certain costume, you’re bound to find it here.
Now even though I was impressed at first, I chose to rate this a 1 star because the poor customer service that we received there was BAD enough to outweigh all the good that this shop had to offer. We were greeted poorly by 3 of 4 employees that we came in contact with. Yes, I understand you’re busy, but there is NO need to be rude! There was one sweet lady who was very helpful and patient, I regret not finding out her name. Two others were very short and rude and the last employee totally topped our visit off as ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!! We were walking out to the back of the shop and she asked us if we needed any help with anything and we both said, «no, thank you» and she replied to us saying, «fine, I didn’t want to talk to you guys either.» There is NO explanation or reason that would justify her speaking to us or any customer in that way. It’s a shame that a great costume shop like this has people working there with such BAD attitudes! I will be sure to spread the word to everyone I know about the service I received here because it was NOT okay!

I LOVE this store. They have everything you need for your costume here. If you can imagine it, they can get it for you, even if it means letting you browse their catalogs so they can special order something for you.
The ladies here are always very helpful and creative! Even though I usually have a pretty clear (and limited) idea of what I need to make my costume great, they help me incorporate unique and high-​quality items to make my costume the best it can be.
Not only are they the queens of Halloween, but they have rentable vintage clothing. I’ve rented 20’s style hats here for themed parties, as well as old-​fashioned shoes.
These poor ladies have quite a small store for all of their merchandise, which means floor to ceiling products. But they have it mastered! Ask them what kind of fairy wings, elvis wigs, or platform shoes they have available, and they’ll find their whole collection in seconds. They are amazing.
Just don’t wait til the last minute to get your Halloween costume here! They’re a hot commodity, and since the store is so little, it gets crazy in there, and supplies in store are obviously more limited during late October.
Prices vary according to quality, of course, and the better option will always be on the pricier side. However, I still own everything I have ever purchased there, and it is still in perfect condition! The products are definitely worth the price!

The owner is super nice and knew everything about costumes and was very nice. They have stuff stacked to the roof which makes for a good time looking for the right look your going for. I will come here next time i decide to dress in costume. There is a nice amount of leather stuff like jackets and boots. they can also order out of the many catalogs if you cant find what your looking for in store. I was amazed at the selection of masquerade masks they have on hand. I really enjoyed browsing the awesome selection of costumes and accessories.

Wow, there are so many costumes here!
Even thought it’s pretty darn pricey, it’s worth it because of the quality and selection available. The service is great, which is a HUGE plus!

This is he best place to work with. I call them with the most obscure costume needs for theater programs and they can always make it happen. Everyone I have worked with is professional and always willing to go above and beyond to help me with my costumes.

The ladies who own this place are so generous and helpful. They have almost every costume, accessory, gag gift available waiting for you to rent.
Stop in and check it out! Better to rent for halloween than buy a cheap plastic sack from Target!

I’ve been coming to Pok-​a-​Dots ever since I was a kid! From my first grade book reports to the masquerade event I hosted, the owner literally has everything. She’s super helpful and funny, but don’t fall for her tricks! She always tries to prank me with that perfume that smells like fart :(UGH hahaha.
