I came to eat dinner here with my boyfriend at 8:30 tonight, and as I approached the counter to order. I had to wait about six minutes for the two girls in front of me to stop talking. They finally made eye contact and asked me what I wanted to order. I let them know that I wanted a kids meal with fried rice and honey walnut shrimp. The coworker the associate was previously talking to as I came over was scooping the last few pieces of honey walnut shrimp in her to-go box for herself as I made the order and they looked at each other. The girl helping me told me that I can only get 4 pieces of shrimp and was going to be charged 75 cents. I’ve gone to many locations and have ordered honey walnut shrimp and they would always give maybe 6 the most. I’m pretty sure she just didn’t want me to order it because she wanted her coworker to take it all home. I just said I’ll order orange chicken instead. I saw her pouring chow mein into my order and I interrupted her to say«no, I said fried rice» and she looked at me and said she was putting fried rice. She didn’t take off the chow mein, which lead to me only getting a small amount of rice. She started talking to her friend about how they’re so hungry and her coworker is pregnant and is craving shrimp. That’s not my problem hoe!

This Panda Express location is located in the Mall’s Food Court. It’s no different than any other Panda Express except that it’s very loud so the staff members have a hard time hearing so you’ll have to yell at them and make sure they are picking the correct entrees. All the food entrees were filled when I was picking my selections and the food was the right temperature.

(Review based on 3.5 stars) Stopped by this Panda Express location(found in the Santa Anita Mall’s food court, right next to Sbarro) yesterday around 11 am with mom after we did some after Christmas shopping. It has been a real long time since I last had Panda Express. After browsing the display case, I ended up ordering the 2 entrée combo:($ 6.90 prior to tax) half fried rice, half chow mein with grilled teriyaki chicken(I requested the teriyaki sauce on the side) and steamed vegetables. The food itself was actually okay, but to be honest, I still prefer the authentic stuff(I grew up eating authentic Chinese food). I liked that both the fried rice and chow mein were not really oily. Also I did like the grilled chicken. I thought the teriyaki sauce was on the thinner side and would have preferred it to be a little thicker. I also liked that there were steamed vegetables that I could add to my meal(I try to add fruits/vegetables to all my meals if possible). The steamed vegetables were good and the sauce on it was light. My mom ordered half fried rice and chow mein as well, along with the broccoli beef and mushroom chicken. I thought both were good and again, liked that the beef and chicken were not overly oily. The guy who took served us was nice. So was the guy at the register but seemed a little confused as he was ringing up our orders and not offering us a tray initially(to take our food to a table). But wasn’t a big issue to me. Overall, food was alright and did it’s job in feeding us and keeping us satisfied til our next meal. But I still prefer the authentic stuff though.

2014 Unilocal365CHALLENGE — 212⁄365 This is a Panda Express in the Santa Anita Mall, which can get very packed over the weekends, especially during the holidays. They taped the floors to lead the line in a curve and that helps a lot during busy times. Food is delicious as usual. Hard to miss at Panda.
