We used to enjoy Taiwaness food here but today suddenly find it out of business. Really miss it.
It look like would become a Sushi place.

This review is only for take-​out. I ordered the beef roll, the beef noodle soup, and appetizer sampler.
I loved the beef rolls and the beef noodle soup. The beef roll was amazing… it has a crispy wrapping with tender flavorful beef in it… yummy! Loved the noodle soup… Keep in mind that they have handmade noodles, so they are the thick kind. They were pretty good and complemented the soup perfectly. One of the best dishes here.
The only thing I did not like is the appetizer sampler, it was kind of bland and boring.
Overall, loved the food, can’t say anything about the service as it was take out. Parking is plenty in the lot, otherwise try street parking.

I used to love this place but I believe they changed owners. The portions have gotten smaller and even the taste of the food has gone down too. The staff was all new and all slow and dumb.
The beef noodle soup was so greasy and tasted like an old batch. I cannot really describe it. Instead of nice pieces of beef, all i got were shreds and «crumbs» of beef as if they gave me the crap from the bottom of the pot.
Not good and not worth my money anymore. I will not be coming back to this location.

Completely disgusting. First thing my family and I noticed were the frazzled waiters. It seemed as if they were completely lost and could not get things in order. ***The place was practically empty.***
About ¾s into our meal, my mother found a large blue/​yellow ladybug in her beef noodle soup. Of course we complained and so the waiter took it off our receipt… BUT THEN my sister found yet another odd looking bug in her wonton noodle soup! We called them over again and this time, it was a waitress… My sister lifted her spoon to show her the bug and the waitress had the gall to pour it back in and then innocently ask, «oh, where?» We searched for it while complaining at the same time that she had done it on purpose until she decided she didn’t want us to search the rest of our noodle soups for fear of what else we might find. So she also took off the wonton noodle soup… It was disgusting. Shows how dirty the restaurant is.
Oh, and when they gave me a soup spoon and my chopsticks, they were stuck to the napkin. Gross. So so gross.

Originally was going to go to 101 Noodle express, which serves similar food to Liang’s but Liang’s takes credit so went here instead.
I ordered the beef noodle soup regular, comes out in a metal bowl to keep the soup hot, skipped out on ordering it spicy which was an extra 50 cents, but you honestly don’t need it, because they have chilli oil and you can just dab a shit ton of that stuff to make it deliciously spicy. I ordered it with the thick noodles, that I believe are made in house, pretty decent dough they use.
Also ordered the cucumbers as an appetizer, and they are really good, not sure what’s in it, but it is sweet, probably sugar, vinegar, and some garlic.
Also ordered the combination appetizer which comes with pig ear, peanuts, and what taste like tofu, pretty spicy.

Never had Taiwanese food, but now I think it’s one of my favorite type of food lol.
I had the beef noodle soup with my gf, which was pretty good, but the spicy wonton is what got me. That thing was delicious! lol

Beef noodle soup is what its known for. For some reason my beef tasted like soap so that was a turn off. The noodles were authentic.
Other dishes were good… my bf got the lunch combo fried chicken leg.

As someone who has grown up in Arcadia, this restaurant is a great addition to the plethora of awesome Taiwanese food in town.

If you can’t make it out to Taiwan anytime soon, this place is the next best thing!

This is the 3^rd Liang’s Kitchen location that I’ve eatten at. Food is OK and will fill your tummy with no problem. Don’t expect spectacular food but the scallion beef pancake roll is very good.
One thing I don’t like here is if you sit at the booth, the seats are way too low in relation to the table height. So either the table needs to be lower or the booth seats higher. I feel like a little kid eatting here in a booth!

— whatever noodle dish you order, YOU MUST ORDER THE TRADITIONAL LIANG NOODLES… holy moly! they’re handmade thick noodles… the best soup noodles, ever! cop dat!

I’ve been here once with my parents but everything we had then (e.g. Niu Rou Mian) was completely unimpressionable. However my parents used to get me the cold chicken noodles from time to time which I LOVED but they thought was just alright.
I ordered to go:
* Cold Chicken Noodle: Wow, they really cut down on what they give you. Half the to go plate is the sauce (peanut/​soy sauce, garlic and chilli). I mean the taste was still good but they used to give a lot more. I was also surprised that they served this during the winter because many places see cold noodle more as a seasonal item.
* Spicy Wontons: YUM! It’s not too spicy here and it reminds me a bit like Din Tai Fung’s but less sweet/​sour.
They were SPEEDY. 10 minutes and my order was ready. Came out to be around $ 12.
Just a note: the boyfriend says that the cold noodles at the Irvine Branch taste better (more peanut-​y) — I have yet to test this out myself.

Any dish this place touches is golden! Authentic tasting (and I mean almost tastes as good as my grandma’s stuff) noodle type dishes, traditional Taiwanese appetizers, decent portions, and great prices. Coming into this place makes me reminiscent of all the traditional foods I’ve tasted in my childhood. I would have to recommend the beef tendon dry noodles (wide) and the wrapped beef and green onion pancake. Regardless, most stuff I’ve gotten here tastes great. Service is alright, but the food gets out really quick. I’ll definitely become a regular if I’m back in the area more often.
PROTIP: Get the wide, hand pulled noodles!

OVERALL:
I really like this place, and it’s a great place for a quick and casual meal. The food has a very home-​style-​ness to it (I think that was the whole point of this place) and the menu has a rather large variety of foods, ranging from hot rice/​noodles to cold appetizer/​snack platters.
SPECIFIC FOOD ITEMS:
I almost always get their three-​flavor chicken rice
I’ve also gotten their, which actually had a little too much sauce for my liking.
The beef pancake roll thing is pretty good, but beware, it’s oily! The Chinese name for that dish literally translates as «scallion oil biscuit.» haha but it’s delishhh!!!
Their beef noodle soup is very good as well, and the beef stew is just the right consistency, not too fatty and not too chewy.
For appetizers, I like the edamame + bean curd + salted vegetables cold plate. I also like their marinated eggs nom nom!
The curry chicken noodle is surprisingly good haha. I definitely had doubts about one before I actually tried it.
PRICING:
The prices are decent, but definitely not the cheapest Taiwanese food in the area. Won Won is also a Taiwanese-​style place but that place has a smaller menu and is more like a hole-​in-​the-​wall.
PLACE/​PARKING:
The interior of this place is cute, and they definitely tried to style it so that it’s like a little indoor village. They also have models of battle planes hanging from the ceilings to give that «coming home from war to eat good food in my home village» feel.
Parking sucks. There is a lot but it’s perpetually filled, and all the little shops in that plaza (ie an arcade, some salon, donut shop, etc) all like to claim their own «spots» and won’t let people who are not their customers park in them. LAMEEEEEE
Give the place a try! :)

The beef noodle soup has the perfect amount of meat, yummy broth and I love how there are pickled mustard in the soup. You just have to try it. It adds more of a dimension, if you will. The beef wrap is also pretty good although I probably wouldn’t get it all the time. I remember once when it made me feel kind of sick. I think it was because it was too oily for my arteries to handle. I’m getting older so maybe I’m getting weaker. Hahaha! The «three taste chicken» is basically boiled chicken but with three different sauces to choose from. I think among the three sauces, I liked two of them. The flavored rice made the dish complete. I wouldn’t say it’s filling (although it’s completely subjective) so I would just get an extra side dish. The chicken on its own lacks any flavor so the sauce makes up for it. Not a horrible dish, but when you don’t want noodles, try this.

Came here for the beef noodle soup and also tried the beef roll. Get the fat thick noodles. Totally worth it but I think 101 Noodle Express has the upper hand on it but its still good.
Service is not too shabby, the waiter’s were fair…
…But anyways, what really made me drop a star may disgust you. I went to take a whiz and lo and behold I saw a fat roach inside the bathroom. I tried telling a waiter but he didn’t really seem to care or if not understand what I was trying to say so whatever to that.

A great place for a full-​bodied beefy noodle soup (#2). The large, flat noodles were almost like fresh italian pasta. Fresh cilantro and a handful of greens rounded out the salty broth. Overall it was a very satisfying soup.
Also ordered the oxtail soup (#68?). I expected this to be like the beef soup except with oxtail. Instead what I got was Campbell’s tomato soup with 3 pieces of oxtail, limp former-​selves of cabbage and predigested carrots. Here’s the kicker. the oxtail was more expensive than the beef soup… whaat?
Parking doesn’t make sense. 30 minute-​5 minute-​15 minute parking? I don’t know how that’s enforced but I suspect it started with whining vendors who are too shortsighted to realize that it’s unwelcoming to new customers.
The décor was bizarre. It was a little too post-​war Japan for a Taiwanese noodle house. Did they inherit a sushi restaurant and decide to just set up shop? «eh…no one will notice.» Who can say. Wait staff was prompt but it became awkward when they hung over our table waiting for us to leave so they could swoop for the tip.
I usually don’t rate a restaurant aside from the food itself but the brow-​raising count was just too high. I feel like I can find a comparable beef noodle soup elsewhere.

First time trying Taiwanese Food. And, I have Judy to thank for that! Judy, Matt P, and I came here this weekend. The restaurant is big.
The way you order here is similar to the way you would order at a sushi restaurant. They give you a piece of paper, and you mark down what you want on it.
I’m not too sure I can remember everything we got. But most of it was good.
The noodles we got were the handmade ones I think. They were thick. We also had something with tofu, nuts, and cilantro. Another dish with cabbage and carrots.
The prices of the dishes here are cheap. It came out to around $ 10 per person, and you left stuffed.
There is a drink I like… but I can’t remember what it was. It seems like it was a melon drink. Get two of those! They’re delicious. *WINTER MELON. I just checked ;D

I was craving noodles and I found this off Unilocal.I remember seeing the commercials for this place, while my parents watch Chinese TV. This place was delicious. I loved the homemade noodles, it had the perfect consistently.
We ordered:
#29 the beef soup and onion pancake (get the one with noodles)
#41 stewed tofu
#11 the dry beef noodle — cha chiang mien.
It was less then $ 20 for everything and we had leftovers. I would go back to this place in a heart beat and take friends.

Went here with 6 friends for dinner. We were promptly seated on a cold Monday night. They have a large selection of Taiwanese dishes, all of which look really appetizing. I played it safe and got the Beef & Tendon Noodle Soup. My friends got varying dishes and we shared 2 orders of the onion pancakes wrapped around beef.
Although the staff is very friendly and accommodating, there was a slight wait for our food. We all got our food at different times, and my buddy Sam actually got his almost immediately because he ordered the Cold Noodles with Chicken. He sat there for a while until our food came. Kind of bad if you want everyone eating together.
The onion pancakes with beef inside was very tasty and enjoyable. The onion pancake itself had a good fried taste but was not oily. The meat was flavorful if not dry. It was a pretty big serving, someone could probably eat just a single order of that for lunch and be full. My Beef & Tendon Noodle Soup was very good. I got it with hand-​cut big noodles which I would regret only because they were so difficult to eat. However, the beef flavor was delicious, the tendon was savory, there was a good amount of hearty vegetables, and I was very full afterwards because I drank all of my broth. Although my beef was a LITTLE tough and chewy, I still enjoyed the dish overall. Two of my girl buddies couldn’t even finish their bowls of noodles citing it was too much food.
The wait for our check was a little long, probably because they thought we wanted to hang out and chat longer than we did. They were prompt after we got their attention.
The food is inexpensive and just fills you up. I would love to come back with friends and try other dishes.
