Sometimes I just feel like clogging my arteries like a true American. Enter IHOP, a pancake/breakfast oasis in the middle of a massive desert of Asian restaurants. After all, it’s Arcadia We came here a few times in the past year and their weekend busy times seem to come and go in a flash. On my most recent visit, the place was packed, tables weren’t cleared & all servers looked overwhelmed. But by the time we were almost done, it was mostly empty. No need to go into detail about décor, but IHOP still remains an ideal place for breakfast items, not so much for lunch. Country Fried Steak & Eggs, came with pancakes. Huge order of food(what was I thinking?) Overeasy eggs were done properly. The steak was crunchy, the gravy way too thick(so I always request it on the side) & hash browns were crispy but not burnt. 4 Pancakes were consistently fluffy, bacon were crisp as requested. Good stuff! 4 Philly Steak Sandwich: sliced steak had some tough pieces, or weren’t sliced properly. Meat was falling out with each bite, not to say they were generous w/the meat, they just didn’t quite stack it right. 2.5 Chicken strips & fries were awful. Everything tasted like it was fried in oil that should have been changed weeks ago. Chicken pieces(not even strips) were dry & tough, fries were worse. For $ 10., it’s the worst thing I’ve ever had here. 1 Yes we might end up here again one day, but we’ll very likely avoid lunch items. Service depends on how busy they are. One time was very good when it was slow, another time was lacking when they were busy. 2.5 stars but need to bump up to 3 since Unilocal doesn’t do decimals. Notes: * Parking lot is not big enough for the size of IHOP, gets full quickly during pek hours. * Lot next door is for other Asian businesses. They might tow so park at your own risk * Being on Baldwin Ave. in Arcadia, it might be tricky going in & out of the lot. * Go after lunch rush on weekends to get better service, parking and no wait times.

I got Food poisoning here when I called corporate to let em know they said somone would call in 4 days max 3 weeks later nothing so I call to ask what’s going on they say they’ll get to the bottom of it I get an email telling me that the manager tried to make contact with me but I didn’t respond Which was a lie but whateves then some how in our email exchanges whomever it I was dealing with a used me of being a cheapskate n tryin to use some coupon on an already discounted meal um no I paid full price n I left n undeserved tip to the in attentive wait staff so I guess he was trying to get at I deserved to be sick for 3 days n miss work cuz in their eyes I was not an ideal customer anyways watch out for your sausage I think that’s what made me sick it must have been under cooked which is ridiculous considering it was not even a lil busy to explain it away as the cook being rushed but no I got no apology so eat at your own risk

My wife and I come here frequently… the food is great… but the service is excellent. we usually have Lily help us. she is courteous and fast… always asking if we need anything… always smiling and kind… we won’t ever be disappointed because even the food is delicious. coffee is great… thank you IHOP… you are a terrific find in the middle of a predominately Asian restaurant area. Keep up the good work!
