Foothill Federal Credit Union

I’ve been a member since 2013. So far, great banking experience. Recently, I used their www.newcarsinc. com program to located a used car. Kudos to Lea Nelson. She is the agent who really made my first time buying a car a pleasant experience. She will work to make sure the dealer is giving you the best deal possible. I located, financed, and picked up my car all out of one place– Foothill Federal Credit Union in Arcadia. Would recommend.

I started banking here years ago because of my Mom. I have since been back and forth, but now I am here to stay! I usually handle all of my transactions through the the ATM. You have to reinsert your card for each transaction. Such as after a deposit you have to start over and do another transaction to pull out money. This can be a tad time consuming and tedious. I was informed that it is a safety precaution. Besides that everything else is wonderful.
Anytime I have an issue I call cs and a friendly employee answers right away. No long wait times and pressing multiple buttons just to keep being redirected by an automated system.

We’re members here and at another credit union. The thing I’ve learned about credit unions is that they all have their own personalities. Our other credit union has much better rates and terms on loans, but doesn’t offer checking or Saturday hours. Foothill Credit Union has friendlier people, Saturday hours, and more traditional banking services. Foothill also has a great summertime-​savings plan for school employees that pays really good interest if you commit your money through payroll deduction until the summer. Since loan rates and terms are really important to me, I’m only giving Foothill 4 stars, but they’re really pretty good, especially if you want a checking account and Saturday hours.

For the actual branch I give 4 Stars (5 for their very nice staff and 3 for giving me a really crappy loan rate years ago — I found out later another credit union was way better)
The 2 Star Rate (that I’m averaging in here) is for the mess of policies, website and lack of accessible customer service that adds nothing but drama to my life. It seems to always happen when I absolutely need to get into my account — but now days before a tax deadline I’m being told they can’t verify my identify. I’ve been locked out of my account and my debit card too many times. It’s just such BS — there is literally nothing you can do once your locked out but go into the bank. If it’s the weekend, you’re out of luck. If your work hours don’t align with theirs — out of luck. There has got to be a better way to do things.
I wanted to support a credit union rather than the «big evil banks» but guess what — Bank of America makes my life easier, and Foothill Credit Union makes it harder. I’ve found this for years now. This year I changed my direct deposit to B of A. After this, I’m just done completely.

Tristina was AWESOME. She went up and beyond to take care of me and she was so kind and sweet considerate and extremely nice! I can’t say enough about her! She needs a BIG raise!

I was approved to get my first vehicle loan through this credit union and it was easy, quick, and efficient. I worked with Anthony and he was very helpful, answered all and any questions I had in regards to the loan and processed it quickly.
I highly recommend going here if you’re new to getting a loan. Everyone here is helpful and very nice/​customer oriented.

If you like being charged to go into a bank to speak with a human being, if you enjoy paying a monthly fee to let a bank hold (and use) your money for you, or if you think it’s wonderful to pay that extra $ 1.50 charge when you pull money out at 7-​Eleven at 2:00 am… Then Foothill Federal Credit Union is NOT for you.
I always visit the Arcadia Branch, and when I walk in, I’m greeted by at least two employees. Window transactions with the absolute sweethearts behind the security glass are efficient and cordial.
I pre-​financed my truck with FFCU, and it was comforting to walk into the terrible dealer finance office knowing I had a really low rate loan in my back pocket. Once I took delivery of the truck, I drove it to FFCU, was given a check for the payoff amount, and hand delivered it to the dealer finance guy. He actually said, «Dude, I’ll get you 7%…» I answered, «Dude… My credit union gave me less than half that… Dude.»
FFCU’s deal with the Co-​Op network means there are no transaction or courtesy fees to use any 7-​Eleven ATM for cash withdrawals. For a smaller credit union with a limited number of branches, this effectively makes this a multi-​state if not national bank.
Call the phone number on the back of your bank card or statement, and press zero to speak with a real person in your branch! This is exceptional service no matter how you slice it.
I love my bank, and in today’s banking climate, that says something.

Love this bank! Use to go to Wells Fargo but they suck and would charge me $ 10 a month if I didnt swipe my card 10 times a month. Foothill helped me open an account less than 15 minutes and I get a new card right on the spot! Love it over here.

Ask, Ask, Ask before taking out a mortgage loan with this Credit Union. Mortgage loans are serviced by PHH Mortgage in New Jersey via the Phillipines. Questions are rarely answered to any degree of satisfaction. To be clear my complaints are only with the loan department and the PHH. Banking side in Glendora is 5 stars. I will NEVER take out a loan with Foothill Federal Credit Union AGAIN!!!

This place is HORRIBLE. RUN as fast as you can from this bank. They are unprofessional. They promised to mail my debit card to me and never did. I had to call TWICE to get my card mailed and it STILL did not come by the time they promised. I’d rather pay a monthly fee at larger bank than deal with such an untrustworthy and unprofessional bank.

The girls here are all very nice. Doug no longer works here so stop asking. Doug apparently was a teller that worked here for a few years. I will admit he was good at what he did. He was fast and had good customer service. He moved on, and so should every customer! I have to give the tellers there credit for keeping a positive and upbeat attitude. I have literally heard old women ask if they are pregnant and then brush it off like that was not rude to ask when the girl is clearly not pregnant. I can’t imagine what other social dignities are just completely ignored by the older clientele but either way, GOOD JOB Ladies!

Been a member here for many years. Love this place! Exceptional service in mortgage loans, process was fast and easy! Painless compared to other experiences with mortgage brokers. Best loans in general. Little stuff – refunds on ATM fees, no fee change machine, seamless online banking, kids area in the branch. A+

Great Customer Service. Unlike any other «bank». This credit union is just great. I generally go to the Covina Branch but because this is their corporate office location I’m submitting my review here.
When I go to the Covina Branch, most of the Reps know me personally. Either by name or they know who I am.
I like the one-​on-​one experience you get at a Credit Union unlike a bank. Most of the Tellers know me by name with the exception of the few new Tellers.
Their finance/​loan department is great. They offer excellent rates for most of their Car Loans, even with no down payment. What else is to say about this credit union? Love em!

If you do not have an account with this credit union, they make it EXTREMELY difficult to make a payment. They do not offer online bill payments, they only accept check payments over the phone (not debit card) Monday-​Friday and even with that, I am never comfortable giving out my bank info to someone on the phone. They only other option is to go into a branch. Well, I moved 40 miles away and they have make it very difficult and do not care or work with me on bill pay. They’re staff is rude and uninformed. Once I’m done with my loan, I will glad to never do business with them again. Do not recommend.

I have been banking with Foothill Federal Credit Union for over 30 years and have been very satisfied with their service. I find their tellers friendly and helpful. The fees are low or non-​existent, which is what I really like. As I need only a community bank, this is perfect.

Employees are uniformed and lack professionalism.

Let’s see now, after spending the better part of brushing up on my arabic at a mediterrian restaurant, putting dollar bills in belly dancers bras, smoking hooka (I have never done it before) being «sort of» set up with a guy that was still blubbering over his ex wife and now girlfriend, one of the first things that crosses my mind is writing a review for my credit union (stunning what an evening from the Twilight Zone can do for you)
Back to the subject at hand, I had never put much thought into my «banking» as I have $ 6.54 cents to my name and saving up for a down payment for a refrigerator box where I will live my golden years on the streets of Los Angeles. But my experience with FFCU has been very positive, I have taken out a couple of personal loans, they are always friendly and professional when I go in, etc. Not sure if this is common in other banking institutes, but they offer kind of a «slush fund» when you have to use ATM’s outside of their providers. Example if I go to bank X and it states that I will be charged a $ 2.00 fee, FFCU will reimburse that money. I think it maxes out at $ 20.00 per month.

Time for a happy review! This is essentially an update from my rant about Washington Mutual. My husband and I recently opened a joint account at this credit union and have nothing but good things to say about them. The staff is super friendly and do whatever it takes to serve us.
Some examples: I went in the other day to see about transferring money to my other credit union account because I didn’t have time to drive out there. A question came up the following day and instead of just leaving me a message on my home phone and then sending a letter, they actually called me on my cell phone to settle the question. This resolved everything quickly, which was great as I was out of town and would not have been able to call them back until the following Monday. Another example: We made an ATM deposit on a Saturday night. When I checked the next morning, the money was available, no hold placed on it in spite of the credit union not being open on weekends.
After the hassles we’ve gone through with WAMU, the service received from the credit union is a welcome relief. In addition, there are numerous services available for educators, and as that’s what I plan on being when I grow up (hehe), we’ll be able to take advantage of them.
