John & Mary’s Restaurant

Used to eat here a lot when I was little and lived in Arcade, the new restaurant looks awesome and the move was a very good idea on their part! Chicken tenders, subs, loaded fries, and pizza are very good, would have been 5 stars but I’m not a fan of a lot of sauce on the pizza, which there’s does. My boyfriend, who loves a lot of sauce, even said it was a bit much for him. Crust was awesome though and great flavor. They have good hours too!

I had to order the Mulligatawny Soup because I rarely see it at restaurants and it was excellent. The Royal Sub was a unique combo and very good. Everything was awesome, I will definitely be stopping here my next time through.

Came here for a bite to eat, great food, great people. I’ll eat here next time I’m in town for sure.

If you like John and Mary’s, this is the best one by far! Awesome food and great service! We love there real maple syrup shakes, Yum… and chicken finger subs… All is yummy

I love this place. Great place to take the family for a relaxed and inexpensive meal. I’ve been to different John and Mary’s restaurants before but none like this. When you walk in, you go up to the counter and order and pay for your food. They give you a ticket with a number and you find a table and set your ticket on the end. A waitress comes around and takes your number and then serves you the rest of the way. The thing that confuses me though, is how much do you tip the servers? What is customary in a situation like this? They seem to do just about everything a server would do in any other restaurant except take your order and your money. I wonder if everyone has the same confusion as I do when they eat here. I wonder how many people don’t tip them at all? Anyway, I try to just leave what I think is a fair tip. The food is yummy and everyone working here is super friendly. The atmosphere is really nice and it’s a great size dining area. I really like the layout and the different seating choices.

Excellent sub, people taking orders and service are very pleasant, best sub in arcade!
Not tried the new location. But looks very nice. The price was what you would expect to pay for a sub.

New location is extremely well done. They except all major credit cards and have updated their menu. The inside is really nice very welcoming. Outside has a wonderful fire pit for the chilly and snowy days. The food is top notch and the staff is really friendly.

Not impressed. Never liked the old grease pit down the road. When they moved into the new location we were hoping that the food would improve with the atmosphere. The food did get a little better, but still not impressed. We tried their ice cream bar which we thought was a great idea until we tried to pay for it and the location was bad and the price was a bit steep. Not real impressed with the new atmosphere either. They closed off the back for a kitchen which made the rest of the place crowded. We like the outdoor fire pit, but we rarely see it on.
I think we’ll pass on returning.

New location just a little closer to the village. Much nicer spot, good call on that one. I never ate-​in at old location but did here. Lots to chose from on the menu and even ice cream now!
