History

Established in 2005.

While searching for tile products for our own home renovations,

we were frustrated with the lack of colorful modern

tile options available.

With a love of tile, and backgrounds in high tech,

we decided to bring a traditionally brick and mortar business online.

Modwalls® began by offering glass mosaic tile in many colors with custom blending options. From that single product beginning we’ve created many other lines, including our popular Lush glass subway tile.

Since 2008 we’ve added sustainable tile options such as recycled glass. pebble and cork tile. We’re continually creating new lines of tile based upon our own inspirations and customer requests.

We have a small staff and we also partner with HOPE Services and their workshop of developmentally disabled clients to produce our custom Brio glass mosaic blends locally.

Modwalls was started by my husband, David Bousfield and I in 2005. With our backgrounds in high tech,

we knew that we could bring a traditionally brick

and mortar retail experience online. Our goal

was to design and stock the modern tile products

that we and others like us craved, and have them

available for immediate delivery via online purchase.

We also knew that it was imperative to provide

customer service equal to or better than the

hands on assistance offered at traditional tile

showrooms. So away we went.
