Dong Po

Affordable, tasty sushi. And a whole host of other things on the menu, if you’re not a sushi fan. I get take out from here a couple times a month and I’ve never been disappointed (with the food, the prices, or the service.)

Very disappointed in how they treat their customers. I had food delivered to my house for months without problems until they suddenly decided they no longer deliver to my subdivision because they are busy and it us no longer convenient. Would not recommend.

Went for dinner with family and friends on Friday. Everyone loved their meal and the waitstaff was fantastic!

This was my first visit and I have to say I was impressed. I have recently gotten hooked on sushi and the Phoenix roll I ordered was amazing. Also ordered the chicken fried rice and it was also very good. Service was excellent and the restaurant was very clean. I love it when even the menus are spotless. Will definitely go back.

Don’t judge the place by the outside, looks like a greasy dive with a C rating from the health department. Food is excellent! Had the hot and sour soup which was killer, the chicken pad Thai, amazing! And some sushi which was good as well. No complaints.

They couldn’t understand our delivery order. We only got ½ the order we wanted because the lady couldn’t understand us.

Just had the best delivery service of my life. 20 minutes from ordering to my door. Chef was on point, and i ordered a ton. One of the best places in town!

Dong Po is one of my FAVORITE chinese resturants and I’ve been to MANY! Let’s start with location and the interior. Dong Po is tucked right on a busy corner of downtown Appleton, parking can be tricky but hasn’t been a issue. Inside feels some-​what intimate with it’s dim light and simple décor.
— FOOD — I was surprised to see they had sushi in their menu and I’m so happy that I took a chance and tried their ‘Incredible Roll’ because that was SUPERB! I was very impressed with their presentation. They have a GREAT selection for lunch and great deals; price ranging from $ 7 – 10 and comes with eggroll & choice of soup. For food: HIGHLY recommend their ‘Spicy Shrimp & Chicken’, ’ Incredible Rolls ‘, their Eggrolls and their ‘Egg Drop Soup’ best egg drop I’ve ever had!
Some things they need to work on is their customer service. Some days are better than other days but there is room for improvement. But that hasn’t stopped me from coming back. OVERALL, this is my to-​go spot for good chinese food.

We seat here for about fifteen minutes and no one come to asking. I never have this before in any Chinese restaurants as a Chinese people. Then we left. Very dissatisfied experience here. Not recommend!

I ordered the general tso chicken and wished I had read the gentleman’s review about his prior to ordering.
It was terrible-​no real taste, the color was strange and it had mushrooms. I order this all the time from places and never once has it had mushrooms in it (I hate mushrooms with a passion).
I also had the chicken fried rice and for this giant box it managed to have 0 taste at all.
I was only visiting Appleton for work so thankfully I will not have to encounter this place again.

I e ordered here several times while in town in business. It’s my go-​to Asian restaurant here. I love that I can order my favorite Chinese dishes, and still get a sushi roll delivered to me on the side.
They are fairly consistent in their delivery times, and their food quality meets my expectations. The Holiday Inn was the first to recommend this place, and I’ve since recommended Dong Po to several other travelers and locals.

From out of town and ordered delivery from here after a long trip. The orange chicken was alright, though the chicken was dry. No silverware included, and the ship was informed this was a hotel they were delivering to.
Additionally, shop was not willing to substitute a different style of rice, spouting off about «freshness» or something about the rice.
Overall, might order from here again; but would want the shop to show willingness to make substitutions and would like ingredients to be cooked better.

read the reviews, thought I give this place a try. Phoned in my order for delivery, of course barely speaks English. when I asked if there were any substitutions, the lady snapped and got awfully rude.
delivery driver didn’t say squat and just handed me my food while I handed him the money. He was definitely a heavy smoker because his smell overpowered the already smoker’s hallway.
Got my general tso’s chicken and was very disappointed of the quality. the closest I can come to describe the chicken is that its just the plain chicken you would see at buffets with choice to dip the sauce in.
I been to cheaper Chinese places with better quality chicken.

My husband and I were pleasantly surprised with our first visit to Dong Po. We ordered off of their lunch special menu which included a small cup of soup, egg roll, your choice of entrée over steamed rice. my wonton soup was very tasty and I could tell the wontons were made fresh. The egg roll was steaming hot with cabbage and veggies inside. Our chicken entrees were filled with fresh cut vegetables and delicious sauces. We plan to come come again very soon.

Chinese, Japanese, and Thai… a perfect opportunity to use the expression «Jack of all trades master of none».

I have placed multiple delivery orders from Dong Po and have enjoyed their food. I almost always order the General Tsos Chicken and have never had a bad order from them. Their crab rangoons are excellent.
The only complaint I have is when I am at work I have a set time that I can take lunch at, when I place my order I tell them that I need it there before noon but most of the time they don’t show up until much later, around 12:25 or later. I no longer order from them when at work but still enjoy getting their food at other times.

Overall the best Asian food in the area! I’ve never dined in and only taken out. I’ve ordered from here countless times in the last 14 months that I’ve known this place existed and it has become my «go to» restaurant.
Everything I’ve ordered has been good or above average. The sushi is the best in the area that I’ve had. My favorite item is the Amazing Seafood. The food is ready between 10 – 15 minutes from ordering, usually really fast!
I’ve had a few orders flubbed in the past, so it’s worth checking the make sure they have the right order. Each time it’s been wrong, I’ve received credit, so it all works out (because everything they make is good)!

Just moved to Appleton and this is the best Chinese I have had yet! The chicken is fantastic. I ordered delivery and it came in 15 min! We will absolutely be ordering from Dong Po regularly!

I ate at Dong Po for the first time last night (a Saturday) while in town for a friend’s birthday. We got to the restaurant around 8:30pm and there was only one other table there so the place was pretty quiet. The menu is really big and includes thai, chinese, and japanese dishes as well as sushi. Our table had the firecracker roll, spicy tuna and eel roll and all were pretty good (not the best sushi I have ever had but definitely tasty). I ordered the panang curry, one of the thai dishes, and it was AWESOME. Everyone else at the table liked their meals as well (I tried a bite of the curry chicken and the moo shu pork — both were great!). My friend and I had both had mai tais and they were gigantic and very tasty. The portion sizes are huge so prepare to have leftovers for at least one more meal! Great location, close to downtown.

I ordered delivery from Dong Po last night for the zillionth time (not an exaggeration) and I thought it was about time to write a review.
I like Dong Po very much because it is similar in style and flavor to the Chinese food I grew up with, granted that was also in a small town in the Midwest. For example, apart from Dong Po, every other Chinese restaurant has crab rangoon/​Phoenix crab that tastes incredibly sweet to me.
That bias being said, I still think Dong Po is good and what they do. Inexpensive Chinese food with lots of flavor that pleases everyone (or everyone I’ve introduced to it). We’ve ordered probably two dozen different menu items plus sushi (the Incredible Roll lives up to it’s name) and the only thing we’ve been disappointed with is the decline in quality of the Pad Thai. It no longer comes with all of the toppings it should, no cilantro, no lime (though sometimes we get a lemon — gross).
Get food from here. They deliver incredibly quickly and it’s delicious.
