Established in 1991.
Dr. Fred Hermanson started practicing dentistry more than 30 years ago and established Smiles by Design in 1991. He started his career as a general dentist and slowly added expertise in areas of cosmetic and sedation dentistry. Today, Dr. Hermanson is one of the top cosmetic dentists in Minnesota.

Dr. Hermanson places your comfort at the forefront of his care. Education
Dr. Hermanson received an undergraduate degree in biology from St. John’s University, Collegeville, Minn., and a dental degree from the University of Minnesota, School of Dentistry. He also completed Level II in post-graduate esthetic dentistry and was among the first nine dentists (out of 2,500 dentists) to earn the Certificate of Achievement for Continuing Education at the University of Minnesota, School of Dentistry, where he has served as a visiting instructor and lecturer.
