Sixpence Accents

Recently opened in Apex, Sixpence Accents is starting out the holiday season with an amazing collection of Christmas and holiday-​themed home décor items.
Whatever you need — ornaments, santa statues, potpourri, candles — you’ll probably find it here. It’s almost overwhelming when you first walk in and see all the rooms of this converted house each filled with beautiful items to decorate your home.
Although the predominant theme is seasonal as is expected given the time of year, Sixpence also carries plenty of items that have no season: wind chimes, clocks, fragrant oils, general knickknacks including an extraordinary clock with a turn of the century look. At least one of the two people working on the day I was there must have been an owner as she was able to talk at length on each item and when the next shipment was due, but both went out of their way to make every guest who walked in, feel welcome. Both seemed proud of the store and it showed in their easy and down-​to-​earth interactions with their customers.
I look forward to visiting this place again, if only to see if the seasonal slant of the merchandise gives way to the more timeless.
