Comfy Critters specializes in making sure that your pet is as comfortable as possible with the least amount of anxiety while you are out of town. I also specialize in spending quality time with your pet. I very much enjoy walking dogs and playing with whatever kind of pet you have. I don’t just pet sit for dogs and cats. I love being around every critter from the hamster up to the horse and all sizes in between!

History

Established in 2007.

I have a Master’s degree in a non animal related field. About 9 years ago I decided that I needed to go for my passion and find a career where I could work with animals. I also love exercise and wanted to somehow combine the two passions. I looked into several different fields involving animals and decided that pet sitting and dog walking was the right choice for me. I dabbled in the pet sitting business for a few years, having a customer here and there. It wasn’t until I moved to the Apex/​Holly Springs area that I really decided to get serious and work towards making this a full time career choice. In 2013, I decided on a name for my business, other than Donna’s Petsitting and Dogwalking, and I came up with Comfy Critters. I do have over 20 years experience working with pets. No kind of pet is off limits. I love all animals.

I grew up in Raleigh, NC. I love North Carolina. I have traveled all over the United States and I believe that North Carolina is one of the prettiest states, and we have the nicest people. I remember when all of the cities surrounding Raleigh where so small, and now all of the cities like Apex and Holly Springs and Fuquay Varina are just growing like crazy! I was always the kid who wanted to bring in every animal that I found and keep it. I always had a passion and a respect for all animals. So much so that I have been a vegetarian for 26 years. I have a need to be an advocate for those who do not have voices. I love working with people who love their pets. It is a great feeling to be able to make a career out of what I have a passion for. I am very lucky.
