From stock to semi-​custom and fully custom cabinetry, we offer the Aristokraft, Décorá, Dynasty and Omega brands. In addition, we carry a vast selection of countertop surfaces from laminate, cultured marble and solid surface to granite and engineered stone.

History

Established in 1952.

Apex Cabinet Company was founded in 1952 by Vernon «Bobby» Cox, a uniquely skilled craftsman who started building specialty furniture and cabinets. This was the beginning of one of the largest cabinet manufacturers and distributors in the fledgling Research Triangle Park region of North Carolina.

Apex Cabinet Company began in a garage in the town of Apex, moved to its Highway 64 location in 1964, and then to the current location in 2003. We currently operate approximately 5,000 square foot showroom and 50,000 square foot production and warehouse space. Over the years, our employees have provided the skill and talent necessary to ensure our steady growth and we are proud of this heritage.

On any given day, you’ll find Bob Howington working in his office, company showroom, or in the top-​shop customizing anything from a drawer-​base cabinet to a distinct range hood. Founder Bobby Cox started this company back in 1952 and handed the reins over to son-​in-​law Bob 12 years ago when the company moved from its location on Hwy 64 to its current address on Schieffelin rd. in Apex.
