This place is a joke. I’ve been waiting for 3 hours for my appt and still haven’t been called back. My son has an appt in an hour and I don’t know if my appt is gonna be over in time for me to get him… After waiting for an hour they asked me to «come back» so the practitioner could take a break. An hour later I come back and have been waiting for almost another hour, even though they promised I would be given priority. Bush league. If it wasn’t for my insurance I wouldn’t be here. AVOID!

Mountain Health and Wellness… Where do I start? They are basically a mental health and wellness center, which would lead you to believe they have the interest of the people who go there as their primary concern. I don’t believe that to be the case! As with most businesses their primary interest is with the bottom line. Mountain Health & Wellness was contracted as an approved center by the state of Arizona to conduct counseling classes, which I was paying for (out of my pocket) on a weekly basis. This was a 26 week course that was mandatory to attend and I usually paid for a month (4 weeks) of classes in advance. The day of my 20^th class I received a call from the instructor informing me that Mountain Health & Wellness had decided that the classes were not profitable and they were discontinuing the program, effective immediately! 12 people were just cut off at the knees with nowhere to go to finish the program! Now, the right thing to have done would have been to stop accepting NEW clients and allow the people enrolled to finish out the program, but profits come first!
Now, on top of trying to find a new facility to complete the program I was faced with the challenge of getting a refund for the classes I paid for in advance. It is important to note that Mountain Health & Wellness would NOT accept credit cards or debit cards as payment… they require CASH! After a trip to the facility, numerous phone calls, speaking with 4 different people, they offered to send me a check. I refused that offer stating that Mountain Health & Wellness REQUIRED cash from me, I expect CASH as a refund. I will say, that I eventually did get my cash refund… but need I say more!
