Excellent Gyros! The place is nothing fancy but great food and good service.

Pricey. I had the gyro meat(temp. of meat was cool rather than preferred hot). The dolmas(stuffed with just rice) were cooked perfectly, but could have benefited from more spice, raisins or other. The tzaziki sauce was good. But the charge was $ 11.99. In fact all mixed plates were over $ 10. For this part of town you would expect better prices. Thanks for reading. The Bike Chaplain

Casual place, greeted with a smile as I walked in. The girl on the counter was very pleasant and answered all questions I had on the menu. She brought the food to us at our table with a smile. I had the gyro sandwich which was delicious :) a lot of meat in it and the sauce was very tasty. I will be returning to try their other items(salads, soups, kabobs, and other sandwiches)

This is by far my favorite gyro place. I refuse to have a gyro anywhere else. I love the food and the people. The customer service is phenomenal. Been coming here forever, should of written a review forever ago but better late than never.

I — we expected better with all the high Unilocal ratings. Really looked for the $ 8.90 gyro with fries and a drink. Guess the prices have gone up since the Becky G. review. $ 12.25 for a half cup of chopped lettuce, 4 small pieces of feta, 4 olives, 4 thin cucumbers slices, four thin slices of tomato and a couple tablespoons of thin sliced onions with some gyro meat. A slice of feta cheese is $ 7.70. Looking at the take home menu, the prices look and feel high, especially the Greek items.

Chicago’s #1 Gyro is solid Greek street eats. Owner Joe and his folks run this legit, Chicago– style eatery. The place is casual and relaxed, with a semi-fast food feel. Think plastic baskets with parchment and Styrofoam cups. The spanikopita is a huge triangle of spinach and feta perfection. The fries are crispy and hot. Our household has had pretty much everything on the menu. Great gyros, shwarma, falafel, burgers, chicken and vegetarian fare. I love the Vegetarian Delight, which includes pita, hummus, falafel and the best dolmades ever. Not feeling well? The lemon chicken soup will fix you right up. We LOVE this place, and met Joe and his great family pretty much on day 1. The only demerit would be for the long waits and a counter girl that is not exactly the best at attention and customer service. Call your food in to-go and have a fantastic lunch or dinner!

Best place to get Greek on this side of the valley. Small homey restaurant. I have tried almost all their menu. Try the combination platter. Their hummus is to die for!

This place has one of the best philly cheese steak. The cheese they use is delicious. The combo plate comes with a lot of food and also very tasty! Female employee is always cheerful. Clean and good atmosphere. Very pleasant dining experience every time! The food is worth the wait.

Was craving a good gyro after our nearby Big Fat Greek Restaurant went under new management(and became a less than ideal place to eat). This place serves a huge, tasty gyro with a side of fries and a drink for only $ 8.90. The gyro comes with onions, tzatziki sauce, tomatoes, and loads of gyro meat(lamb) in pita bread. I ordered mine with added lettuce(no extra charge). We ended up ordering a couple extra pita breads($ 1/ea) and put some gyro meat in them. It was a LOT of food and we were all stuffed when we left(and none of us finished our fries). Servings are very generous! My 8 year old wasn’t sure she would like the gyro so she ordered some fried mac and cheese bites. They were tasty, but very heavy and rich. They’d make a good appetizer to share, but not a good main dish.(She ended up eating an extra pita with some of my meat and lettuce in it.) We also ordered a pizza puff to try after reading some other Unilocal reviewers raving about it. It was tasty. They used a spicy Italian sausage, which gave it a little kick. It came out hot and crisp. Restarant was clean and well mantained. Staff was friendly and super polite. Food was made fresh, served hot, and delivered quick! Can’t wait to go back and try something else on the menu. Pick up a to-go menu while you’re there.

I loved the gyro and the salad was totally delicious! Plenty of meat and tzatziki sauce made the gyro one of the best I’ve had. The salad had fantastic olives, tasty feta and amazing dressing. I will definitely go back, but I was surprised by the price. An extra $ 2 for the salad was unexpected, but it was probably worth it.

You really won’t find better Greek food in the East Valley, period. Italian Beef and Gyros are all the hype and its warranted. Grab a Pizza Puff and no regrets. Seriously one of the few places that you will never get disappointed and its family-run atmosphere makes it more friendly. This food is ridiculous! Prices are better than hitting some cruddy fast-food chain so don’t do it, just come spend it wisely.

Food is great! The guy that seems to run the place doesn’t talk too nicely to the ones making the food. None of them prepare food with gloves… icky.

The gyros were good. It is a fast-food atmosphere with food served in baskets and self-serve pop but good gyros at a reasonable price.

I give it 3 not because of the food but because of the price. I went to get 3 gyro plates for take out and it came to $ 41 bucks. That is flipping outrageous!!! A regular gyro is about over $ 8 bucks. Add a drink… I’ll get my gyros elsewhere. The food is good ill give you that. All the posts saying they were only $ 5 or $ 6 bucks are really old posts.
